Grind Achievements or materials with AFK-Build on Endless Mode reaching 3+ consistent.
Beastmaster
The most conistent and easiest build to go for is The Beastmaster with its many melee summunings and resiliance, the beastmaster avoids getting killed by random attacks.
In this build we try to minimise the chance of enemies getting close to us and not take any casting speed modifiers, like Multicast and Relentless but instead focus on resilience and damage modifiers, If possible we add the chaos and nature rune that gives us access to chaos golems and putrid hounds. This build reaches endless mode 3+ without any curses activated.
Runes
This build can be tried very early in the game, because it does not need any specific runes to work. Tho, there are some runes which help this build work more effecient.
Commanding Presence increases the damage of al summoned units by 40% without any downside.
Surefooted reduces the damage taken of the hero by 15% which helps us stay alive for longer, especially in the later stages.
Skill Mastery: Nature gives us access to Putrid Hounds which is a unique ability to The Necromancer.
Skil Mastery: Chaos gives us access to Chaos Golem and/or Blood Lust.
Active Skills
We want all the melee minions so pick up Swamp Boar, War Tiger, Battle Moose, Chaos Golem and Bestial Wrath.
There is a chance, that Chaos Golem are not in the pool, so as an alternative pick Blood Lust.
Make sure you pick minions over Bestial Wrath or Blood Lust.
If there are not at least two summoning spells after reroll, I would suggest to restart.
Once we have around 3 Summoning Spells, it is save to go afk until there are 1 or 2 bosses down and we can collect their shard.
Passive Skills Priority List
Bans
I would banish Relentless, Multicast, Area and Leviathan immediately.
We want the minions to stay as far as possible and resummoning them or reducing their movement speed doesn’t help us with that. Most minions don’t scale with area modifier and we will pick up enough skill specific area modifier for later in the game.
Instant picks
Max Amount of minions > Minion, Physical and Nature Damage Modifier > 100% crit and Dot chains
Early Game
Experience > Movement Speed > 1x each Dot (Prio Frailty) > Damage > Crit Chance > Crit Damage > Max Health, Block Power and Armor Power
Mid-Game (Around Boss 4)
At some point we should not invest more into movement speed, because the minions get to the enemy fast enough, as we Experience, because we will not be able to get enough value out of it.
Damage > Crit Chance > Max Health, Block Power and Armor Power, Dots (Prio Frailty) > Crit Damage > Experience, Movement Speed
Late-Game (Around Endless +1)
At the late game we need to keep our minions alive against bosses, which start to hit harder. That’s why we need to focus more on Resilience and, if at all, high-end damage modifiers.
Always make sure you do the math, if buffing a single spell outvalues passive stats an all (Buffing Bestial Wrath or Blood Lust counts as if buffing all spells).
Honorable Mentions
This build is based on the rune Singular Focus . And allows to pick the Skeletal Warriors, Chaos Golems and Pudrid Hounds multiple times. This build is extremly fast to get going, because as early as turn 1, the player can go afk. Going for a mix of Warriors, Chaos Golems and Dogs seems more promising and stronger then focusing on one unit, especially because unit specific passives do not count on all spells of that unit but only one. THis build got me all the way to Endless 5+. For that I will add this build in more detaile at some point.
The Palading Self Healing
Self Healing is another fun build to try out. Again, its build around the rune Singular Focus and allow to pick the same spells multiple times. The we are looking for, are Smite
and Exorcism
. Once buffed enough with multi cast chance, cast speed and area, the self hero outheals the damage. For this build the rune Center of Attention
is important, so Smites hits the hero more often.
A big problem with this build, after moving to the next endless stage, all cooldowns reset and stack on top of each other. This way, there is a small gap where , when enough damage accomulated, the hero dies before healing himself. To build around that, I didged Singular Focus and added Skill Mastery: Arcane for Arcane Shield and Arcane Power. The last slot was Beacon of Light. This build was hard to get andunderperformed as well, even in the early stages. It was fun to see it running tho.
