Quick guide for the beta of Icarus.

Basic Survival from Start

After you exit the landing pod, immediately start to run west and a little bit south, gathering everything on the road, и в конце концов, you will run into a lake with a small island. Talent and Skills

Icarus does let you learn everything you want, so you must choose wisely what to learn from the very beginning. The problem with this game is that many technologies have few tiers, and there is no sense in learning some lower-tier skills at all.

You want to save as many skill points as you can for tiers 2 и 3, so don’t learn anything that you really don’t need!

Skip the thatched tree entirely! It is very easy to get lvl5 and learn wooden parts instead. Don’t learn windows, don’t learn wooden doors, only basic structures like beams, полы, стены, крыши, and angled roofs. In your island house, you won’t need any doors; it will be safe just from its placement.

If a stone house is what you want, you will learn to make stone doors and windows instead!

And speaking of stone houses, it seems like the best house in beta so far, cheap and immune to any weather effects. You really don’t need concrete and alloy parts for sure.

War Weapons

All you need is a basic bow and a knife. Don’t worry about any skills with spears or anything else! The basic bow will serve you well as a lure for animals, and the knife has a nice bonus from talens-running speed, so the iron knife will serve you well.

Позже, the ultimate weapon you want is a hunting rifle. It will headshot any predator. The best weapon for safe travels? With a hunting rifle, you can travel as far as you want from your base.

Fur armor is the best right now. It is very cheap to craft and has decent protection against animals and weather. Don’t learn to wear leather and cloth armor!
