Starfield has lots of choices and consequences, especially for completionists. The NG+ system lets you pick different world states, but what if you want just one playthrough with everything? Do you really want to spend over 200 hours and then reset it or grind the main quest 10 times to avoid temptation? Mais, there are things you can only get in certain NG+ versions.

Why Rush NG+?
When you start NG+, a brand new save is made, and only certain things are carried over. Here’s exactly what gets carried over:

- Information about your character’s stats as seen in the Status screen.

- The number of times you’ve entered NG+ increases.

We can recreate these things in NG using commands:
- Level up your powers.
- Get Starborn spacesuits.
- Complete Barrett’s “Parallel Self” companion quest.
- Unlock extra dialogue options.
- Prevent a companion from dying during the main quest.
- Access a variant crew member known as “Você?”
- Adjust the difficulty modifier.
- Ensure everything, including quest rewards, generates at their highest level form.
No entanto, these things can’t be replicated in NG using commands:
- Skipping the tutorial entirely and having freedom from the start of the game.
- Spawning the player’s Starborn ship, a specific one.
- Encountering unique random events, like a legendary trader in space.
- Any unforeseen consequences of NG+.
For many players, the benefits of NG+ are significant. This has led to suggestions of rushing through NG+ ten times, collecting all the powers, and then settling into a full playthrough to avoid wasting time in worlds that will be reset anyway. But this approach doesn’t feel great, and many players have expressed this sentiment.
It seems that while the list of things we can’t recreate in NG is small, it’s safer and faster to go into NG+ as intended.

NG+ Variants Break Your Game
You might have noticed that when you enter NG+ and go to the lodge, things can be different from the usual situation. All the various NG+ variants are documented on YouTube, and there’s a way to consistently choose which one you get using console commands. These variants are determined during the credits, not at the unity or before entering the lodge. Então, always check the lodge to confirm which variant you’re in, or if you’re not in a variant at all.
Here’s the issue: every NG+ variant forces you to skip the main quest. Inicialmente, this might not sound too bad, but the game becomes quite buggy in this state. You lose access to multiple crew members and some side quests, as well as the unique loot from the main quests and the services of Noelle and Vladimir. Most variants also remove many constellation members from the game, meaning you can’t have them as companions. Even if they’re not removed, they’ll only appear after you’ve collected a large number of artifacts instead of being with you from the beginning.

- The variant crew member has a separate quest in addition to the variant of the main quest. Each crew member has a quest controlling their recruitment (internally called “EliteCrew”), which properly spawns the variant.
- Set the stage of this quest to 1 with the command:
setstage 187431 1. Do not set it to 0, as this would complete their main story quest and skip the main story. - The variant crew member will appear in the lodge, ready for recruitment. If you change your appearance, go through a few loading zones to update their appearance to match yours. They will always instantly copy your character’s name without needing a reload.

Here’s what I like to do:
- Use o “bat steps_before” no menu principal.
- If I feel like it, I’ll play the tutorial on a new game first for pretend continuity.
- Approach the NPC and use the Starborn dialogue to skip the chat.
- Walk into the Unity.
- Skip the credits as soon as possible.

Level Badges Explained
If you want to pick your level based on which level badge looks the best, here’s how the game decides the badge appearance:
- Each level (repeating every 10 níveis) determines the pattern of stars on the badge.
- Todo 10 níveis (repeating every 100 níveis) determines the pattern of the red banner behind the stars.
- Todo 100 níveis (repeating every 500 níveis) determines the background shape of the badge.
- For every 500 níveis (up to but not including 1500), the background color of the badge is determined.
- Levels in the 1500s don’t have a badge, and the loading screens are blank.
- Everything after level 1600 introduces a fourth badge color, which repeats every 1500 níveis (though there’s some uncertainty about this).
You chose level 115 because it’s a number that’s not too large but big enough to offer a wide range of leveled lists. No jogo, some enemies copy your level, while others are assigned a level based on the leveled list they come from and the area/quest difficulty. It was a bit odd to see some enemies with very specific high levels like 500 among the more randomly distributed levels that were around 100 ou inferior.
