Learn how to Solve murders from renowned New-Brooklyn Private Investigator, Johnny Slapper. Welcome to your first case Rookie, the names Johnny Slapper and I’m here to tell you how to solve a murder. And look at that, our first case… I’ll take you along so you can see first-hand how I’m going to solve this case.
The Case of The Ritual Reaper
Apartment on the First floor of a crappy apartment complex, we get there before the Enforcers but not by enough, they open the security gate as we get there and a man runs out from behind going down the stairs… Grab him by the back of his shirt and try to get as much information out of him as possible, He gives his name but nothing else. Our first suspect! Get to the apartment and see a grizzly sight, a woman, dead on the floor in the middle of a ritual circle. Another woman is already in the apartment but that doesn’t mean much yet, get their name and prints and start searching the crime scene. Woman on the floor, shot to death with a rifle, grab her prints. Search the scene to find three sets of prints, the cadaver’s, the partners, and a third. Lets go investigate that guy who was running down the stairs, check the city directory and find his address. BINGO! Lives not far from here on the highest floor of an apartment complex nearby, knock on his door and find him getting ready to leave. Search the apartment as he leaves and find the prints that were on the crime scene in his apartment, run down the stairs, hit him over the head a couple times, and arrest him. Case SOLVED!
The Case of the Cut-Throat Ripper
Oh and look at that our next case! Lets get there and fast…
Woman dead in the middle of the street, stabbed to death. Objects next to her are a pair of glasses, her business card, and a utility knife… Grab the woman’s prints and match them with the ones on the knife, no match. We’ve found the murder weapon, go to city hall and find a computer with the government directory on it, search for an hour to find someone with the same prints as the ones on the knife, and Bingo was his name-o we have a match… Barge down the killers door and arrest her while shes on the toilet. Case SOLVED!
The Case of the New-Brooklyn Stalker
And another case! I guess the city never sleeps…
Another woman, dead on the floor of her apartment, shot to death by a handgun… On a thorough look around the apartment, theres no prints… Lets look through her V-mail and letters shall we?
Oh dear… This woman has been reporting sightings of a strange man following her around, V-mails saying that someone has been knocking on her door, and a Journal under her bed where she states that she has been seeing him everywhere…. Disturbing stuff but she apparently asked a member of the hotel staff to check the cameras, our first lead. Breaking into the security office and checking the tapes, theres nothing… The only thing we have is the victim entering her apartment a few hours before she was found dead, lets check the apartment again. Pegadas! Tamanho 8 but the shoes under the victim’s bed are size 9. Our second lead! Espere…. Those prints belong to the enforcer who is guarding the crime scene, DAMN! I guess we may have to give up and- Espere, a single fingerprint in a cabinet drawer! Bingo! Check the government database and… We’ve found our killer, barge open their door and arrest them while they are using the sink. Our killer admits they saw the Victim in their apartment around their time of death, a confession even! Case SOLVED!
Alright Rookie…
Alright Rookie… We’ve solved a couple murder cases and now I’m going to tell you a little more about the sport of solving murders.
1. Check the crime scene, prints are your best friend. AND CHECK THOROUGHLY, even the best killers slip up.
2. No prints? Check the camera footage, most hotels have cameras so you can see who entered, who left, and at what time.
3. Nothing on the Camera footage? Check again, maybe you missed a print, or a footprint that doesn’t belong to the victim.
4. Found a print but nothing else? Well suck it up because your going to City Hall, they have a government database that has all citizens and their fingerprint information… Sadly you can’t search by fingerprint so you’ll have to comb through a lot of citizens.
5. Go with your gut, if someones actively escaping a crime scene, its probably them…
