Neste artigo, I will try to show my method to buy the Power Technologies most economically, after providing some background info.
Introdução
Despite having poorer expanding skills, I won a tournament with some faster Power Technologies Wonder rushing, and now currently having 400 treasures. That makes me think my method of rushing Power Technologies might be worthy to be shared and discussed.
Neste artigo, I will try to show the method, after providing some background info.
Eu não sou um falante nativo de inglês, so the article might have some grammar mistakes.
My model might be considered as poorly-developed. Welcome to point out my mistakes or give me any suggestions. It will be even better if you can come up with a different model/method.
Background information: the PT & the PTW
the PT(power technologies)
It provides passive power on your terrains. The common usages of PT are:
- to scramble tiles while expanding, commonly used on early game
- help you in battle, no matter invading or defensing
- to complete the PTW(Power Technologies Wonder)
I’m not discussing point 1 e 2 Neste artigo.
the PTW(Power Technologies Wonder)
In the current version 1.1.0.5, it requires 12/15/18/25 PT to earn you 1/2/3/4 coroas.
Why and when we should try to complete the PTW economicallyDepends on the setting of the winning conditions of your game, sometimes it’s critical to rush your PTW for victory. The lower you make its cost to be, the easier and earlier you could complete it.
How to buy the Power Technologies most economically(not considering to rush your PTW)
Since the steam guide can’t text colorful texts, I’ll put screenshots here instead. Hope that won’t decrease the reading experience too much.
How to buy the Power Technologies most economically(with an ambition to rush your PTW)
Conclusão:
1. Calculate how many lvl of each PT type should be bought
- Primeiro passo: estimate how many PT types you would have. (Don’t forget the city terrain!)
- Etapa dois: check out how many PT you need to buy to complete your PTW. (In the current version 1.1.0.5, it requires 12/15/18/25 PT to earn you 1/2/3/4 crowns.)
- Divide the number of PT you need, by the number of PT types you have. Por exemplo, divide 15 por 7 and you get 2 & 1/7. That means you should have 2 lvl on each PT type, while one of them get to lvl 3.
2. Buy it type by type, and high level first, for lowering the costs. Então:
3. Tech-cards-holding:
The later you use the tech cards, the more you gain. If you are rushing for the PTW, it’s important to hold them because they can save you turns of knowledge if you use them on the last PT. Try to use them on the last PTs.
Calculation behind(skippable!)
How the PT’s cost be calculated:
Put L= power tech Level, A= Already owned PT, each PT cost= 10L+5AL, ou, eu(10+5A)
Here’s a table of each PT’s cost:
I’ll explain the numbers, mas antes disso, let’s take a quick look on a few more tables.
When you put the high lvls of PT at the rear of the path, buying 15 of them on 7 tipos, it costs 1255:
When you put the high lvls of PT as front as possible, it costs 1060:
When you buy only one type of PT, it costs 6800:
Obviamente, putting the high lvls of PT at the front, costing you the least.
(using screenshot again)
Conclusão: put your high lvls of PT on the path as front as possible, and don’t buy PT which is level-higher-than-3.
