Comando & Conquistar: Renegade‘s multiplayer mode is where the game truly shines. This guide will walk you through the basics of how C&C mode (Também conhecido como “AOW” in the server lobby) operates.
Resumo
Guide Version 1.0
No jogo, your team secures victory by achieving one of the following:
- Destroying all the enemy team’s buildings.
- Accumulating the most points before the timer expires.
- Successfully planting a beacon on the enemy team’s pedestal and them failing to disarm it in time.
You have the option to play as different character classes, utilize various vehicles, and adapt your playstyle based on your preferences or the situation in-game.
Upon joining a server, you’ll typically be assigned to the team with fewer players.
Spawning and Purchase Terminals
When you respawn on the server or after you’ve been defeated, you’ll respawn inside your base, typically within one of the buildings. Inside each building, you’ll find Purchase Terminals that allow you to change your character class and purchase vehicles, entre outras coisas.
Each team has access to four character classes that you can choose to play for free. Simply approach any of your team’s Purchase Terminals, press the action key, and select your desired class from there.
Adicionalmente, there are ten additional character classes available for purchase with credits. De forma similar, if you want to use a vehicle, you’ll usually need to buy one from these terminals as well.
How to get credits
There are three main ways to earn money in the game:
The Harvester
Somewhere on the map, there will be at least one Tiberium field, which is a green, toxic, crystallized swamp. No início do jogo, a large truck-like vehicle called the Tiberium Harvester spawns in your base and drives itself to the Tiberium field. After collecting Tiberium for a short period, it returns to the Tiberium Refinery building in your base to unload what it gathered. Each time the harvester unloads Tiberium, everyone on your team receives credits, typically a significant amount each time. This is usually the primary method of earning money in the game as long as both your Tiberium Refinery and harvester remain intact.
If the enemy team destroys your harvester, you lose out on the Tiberium it collected. No entanto, a replacement harvester automatically spawns in your base (provided your vehicle-producing building is still intact) and resumes its task.
If the enemy team destroys your refinery, your harvester self-destructs, and you lose this source of income.
The Refinery
As long as your team’s refinery remains undamaged, everyone on your team receives a slow, incremental flow of credits. No entanto, if the enemy team destroys your refinery, this income stream ceases.
Playing the Game
You earn credits every time you damage, matar, or repair an enemy player, vehicle, or building. Adicionalmente, you might find credits in random crates on the battlefield or receive them from teammates using the donate command. More on that later.
Buildings and their functions
In Command & Conquistar: Renegade’s multiplayer mode, your ultimate goal is to destroy the enemy’s base. Para conseguir isso, you can purchase character classes and vehicles to aid you in your mission using the funds you accumulate.
No entanto, it’s essential to understand the functions of the other buildings in your base and the enemy’s base, as they significantly impact your strategic choices and plans. Here’s a brief overview of each building’s role:
- GDI Advanced Guard Tower (AGT) / Nod Obelisk: This towering structure serves as an automatic base defense, targeting enemy units that venture too close. Destroying it weakens the enemy’s base defense, making it easier for your team to breach their defenses and infiltrate their base.
- GDI Infantry Barracks / Hand of Nod: This building enables you to upgrade your character class beyond the four free ones. Destroying the enemy’s barracks cuts off their ability to purchase advanced character classes, disrupting their strategy and reducing their combat effectiveness.
- GDI Weapons Factory / Nod Airstrip: This building is essential for purchasing and spawning vehicles. Destroying it not only prevents the enemy team from acquiring vehicles but also disables their ability to respawn their Harvester, severely impacting their resource gathering capabilities. Protecting your own vehicle-producing building is crucial to maintaining a strong offensive and defensive presence on the battlefield.
- Tiberium Refinery: This building collects Tiberium harvested by your Harvester, providing a steady income of credits for your team. Protecting it is vital for sustaining your economy and funding your operations.
- Central Elétrica: If the enemy destroys your power plant, all character and vehicle purchase prices are doubled, significantly hindering your team’s ability to acquire essential assets. Adicionalmente, your base defense building becomes inoperative, leaving your base vulnerable to enemy attacks. Destroying the enemy’s power plant can cripple their economy and weaken their defenses, making it a high-priority target in strategic planning.
Repairs and MCTs
Repair guns play a significant role in Command & Conquistar: Renegade’s gameplay, particularly with the Engineer character class. Here’s how they function:
Repair Gun
- Engenheiro: The Engineer character is equipped with a repair gun. You can use it to restore the health of your team’s buildings, veículos, or characters by firing at them. Adicionalmente, you can disarm enemy C4 explosives by targeting them with the repair gun.
- Advanced Engineer: Each team has an “advanced engineer” aula (GDI Hotwire / Nod Technician) whose repair gun operates at double the rate. This means repairs are twice as effective, and disarming explosives is twice as fast.
Master Control Terminal (MCT)
- Critical Spot: Inside each building, there’s a Master Control Terminal (MCT). Damage or repairs are more effective when targeted at the MCT.
- Effectiveness: Placing C4 on the MCT of an enemy building is more effective than placing it elsewhere on the building. De forma similar, using the repair gun on the MCT of a friendly building is far more effective at restoring its health than targeting other parts of the building. Understanding the importance of the MCT can significantly impact your strategies in the game.
Beacons
No jogo, each team can buy a special weapon known as the beacon from any Purchase Terminal in their base for 1000 créditos. Once equipped, you can plant the beacon by holding down the fire mouse button.
For GDI, the beacon is an Ion Cannon Beacon. Sobre 30 seconds after planting it, a massive blue laser will strike down from the sky at the beacon’s location, obliterating anything nearby, especially buildings. For Nod, it’s a Nuclear Strike Beacon. De novo, after roughly 30 segundos, a tactical bomb is dropped on the beacon’s spot, destroying everything in its blast radius.
These beacons are primarily used to destroy enemy buildings, but there’s strategy involved. Besides the high cost and the risk of getting into the enemy base to plant it, once you do, everyone hears an announcement and a countdown starts. Nearby players can hear a beeping noise to locate the beacon, and enemy engineers can disarm it with their repair guns. It takes a few seconds of repairing to disarm it, but if successful, no ion cannon or nuke will strike, and the enemy team earns credits/points for disarming it.
Por último, one of the win conditions involves placing a beacon on the enemy team’s pedestal, located inside the GDI Infantry Barracks/Hand of Nod. If you ion or nuke the enemy’s pedestal successfully and prevent them from disarming it, your team automatically wins, regardless of points or buildings destroyed.

Client and Server Commands
Client Commands
- When you first enter a game in Renegade, hit the ` key (located to the left of 1, above the tab key). This action opens the client command prompt. Dentro, type FPS and hit enter. This will display your frames per second and server ping information, which can help identify performance issues.
- Tipicamente, upon joining a server in Renegade, you’ll begin in first-person view. To switch between first and third person view (as Renegade is primarily a third-person shooter), simply press the F key.

Server Commands
On different servers in Renegade, the functionality may vary, but commonly you can press F2 and input certain commands for helpful features:
- Tipo !td to evenly distribute all your credits among your team. Opcionalmente, if you add a space followed by a number, the server will donate only the specified amount. Por exemplo, if you possess 3500 credits and enter !td 1000, 1000 of your credits will be distributed evenly among your team.
