This is a illustrated beginners Guide for the Game Bio Prototype.
It features some basic informations and also some easy combinations for Beginners and last but not least one more complex build.
1.0 Things you need to Know about the Game.
If you are new to the Game, than let us talk about a few things first.
1. Bio Prototype is a bullet hell game. This means you often need a lot of firepower to actually get to the end of any level.
2. Neste jogo, some things are a little bit different in comparison to other bullet hell games.
3. The Weapons you will use here, to overcome the enemys in each wave, are presented in form of so called “Organs” ou “Mutações”.
3. This things have different abillitys and connectivity possibilities.
4. When you are starting the game for the first time, you only have one “creature” to play with.
5. You can unlock new ones, if you manage to achieve some of the ingame goals.
6. Cada “Creature” has a different playstyle and different unlock goals, so it might take a while until you have them all collected. After this short introduction, we should be ready for the real fun stuff.
2.0 The Brain
The Brain, like in the picture above, is where the real magic beginns.
If you start a new round with any of the available creatures, there will already be Organs inside the brain, and it should look something like this:
This is your starting setup for wave one. In this case it is the : ” Tentacle of the Mushroom”, a projectile weapon. The rate of fire from this projectile is depending on the “spine” no lado esquerdo.
(First Slot to the right side, if you look at the Brain).
If you take a look at the picture above, you can see that this spine has a efficiency and a frequenzy value. The efficiency is mainly influencing the “dano” (Dano) output from the Weapon and the freguenzy determines the “taxa de incêndio” (ROF). Resumindo: the lower the freguenzy is – the more shots your weapon will fire in a period of time. And the higher the efficiency get´é – the more damage your Organs (Armas) will do. You can combine different Organs for different results. And i will show you some of the combinations to get started and some to kill everything thats in your way.
3.0 Modifications.
To build and create some modifications to the creature you are playing, you need to pic up those red “genes” that enemy´s drop when they are dying. If you complete a wave, you can spent this genes to make the Bio Mutant better.
You click on the “Culture” button to get there:
The next screen should look like this:
You have different options here, like you can see in the image above. I dont go through all of them.
The importend ones for me are:
1.New Organ – allows you to create three Organs. You can pick only one of them for your Bio Mutant.
2. Cérebro – Every creature beginns a new round with only one Brain. If you want to use more organs(Armas) than you have to buy new Brains.
3. Brain capacity – allows you to install more organs inside of one brain.
4. HP – this option increases the Hit Points by 1.
5. Velocidade de movimento – increases the speed of your Bio Mutant.
6. Base DMG – increases weapon damage done by ALL the Weapons you have.
This listing is in no particular order. You can spent the points like you want.
Para dica: You can sell unwanted Organs in the Mutation Tab and then buy new ones in the Culture Tab!
4.0 Starter Combinations.
If you are at wave three or four you could build something like this.
What this combination exactly does, is explained in the following screenshots:
You have a projectile based weapon, installed on a spine.
It fires every 0.97 seconds one projectile that, “if it hit´s a target” ——->
then it will automaticly cast ——–>
All mutations together would look like this ——>
Or you could do something like this ——>
We have a spine installed, a mushroom with “on the hit” ao lado disso, and a fire organ. This combination creates a circle that is setting enemies on fire and is doing explosive dmg
There are too many options in the game to list all of them here, but I hope it gave you a basic idea of how organs work together in Bio Prototype. But there is one last thing I want to share.
5.0 Two Braaaiiinnss to kill em all.
If you want something like this, which deals insane amounts of dmg ———->
You need a little bit of luck and some experience to get there. It is Built with two Brains only.
The first Brain applies some poison and ice through an area of effect (AOE) Cogumelo. Then it connects all enemies who are hit through the poison AOE via beams, which deal also high damage.
First Brain ———>
The second brain is more of a supporter one. It does the following thing:
When enemies are hit by a restricting movement effect, such as ice, they all get connected through beams. These beams will cast “Ferimentos” as an AOE effect, as long as enemies are influenced by ice.
