TLDR: If you need help with any part of the game you should be able to find it in here! (Esperançosamente!)
Hello fellow murderers of Cthulhu-like entities.
I have been playing this game obsessively for a while now and thought I would share some tips with you all. (These are all based on a darkness 15 jogo, for most other difficulties you can pretty much do whatever you feel like and it should work out)
Isenção de responsabilidade!: These are of course entirely personal opinions as I don’t tend to scour the discords or read much about games online. If anyone notices mistakes or wants to add other build ideas in the comments I will gladly add them to the guide. Also feel free to skip to characters you want to know more about. My guide is very long and I fully understand wanting to skip bits you may already feel comfortable with. Anyways enjoy!
1. Dicas gerais
These are just little tips for you to take into every game.
Opening and closing trees. This is a very important concept that I will be referencing throughout the guide. Opening a tree refers to picking the first upgrade of an upgrade tree, which then adds two more upgrades to the pool available to you. Closing a tree refers to picking the last upgrade available in a tree therefore reducing the available upgrade upon level up. This is extremely important to keep track of as in some context you will want to do one or the other. Here is a quick example: At the beginning of the game you usually want to open as many trees that are useful to your build as possible. This way every time you level up it is less likely that you are faced with useless or sub-optimal upgrades. On the other hand some builds may require very specific synergies (synergies are upgrades that are unlocked by combining certain regular upgrades). For example if you are playing a shotgun build you probably want to get the mini clip synergy as fast as possible therefore you would try to open as few trees as possible and even try to close as many as possible to give yourself the best chance of getting the synergy requirements and the synergy itself.
Movement is key in this game.It is your main tool of survival. For that reason each build should either use the run and gun which allows you to run while shooting, or use the mini clip synergy upgrade which reduces your clip size to 1 with any gun. having a fast reloading clip of 1 bullet basically allows you to stutter step, which while not as good as moving while shooting is still excellent and doesn’t cost you points down an upgrade tree which doesn’t improve your damage (i.e the movement tree). P.s: there are two exceptions to this rule: Abby because she can already move while using her right click, and Hina who can teleport with her right click.
Experiênciais very important as it allows you to see more upgrades. But walking up to experience spread all over the map to pick it up is extremely inefficient. This is why i recommend standing still as often as you can to let the monsters come to you. Once you are satisfied with the giant ring of experience that has accumulated around you (or are in need of a specific upgrade immediately), you can start moving in that circle pick it all up and return to your starting position. Another reason why this technique is so good is a rune called “Crescimento”. This rune heals you for 1 Hp every time you gain 5 níveis (5,10,15, etc), creating this circle means that you aren’t wasting any of this potential healing when you don’t need it and can easily heal if you need to. There are a few moments when I would strongly recommend doing this and a few when you should avoid doing this. Next will be a small breakdown of how this should go.
“Experience rings”breakdown by game time: For the first few minutes of the game (until about 17 min which is when the first elite spawns) you should be running and dodging while slowly collecting your Xp as usual. By the time you have defeated the first elite and picked up your first item you should be around level 10. Standing still should now be easily achievable. From here until the next boss you should attempt standing still for as long as possible and at 15:15 (or just before the boss gets there), quickly pick up all the Xp to gain an advantage in the fight. once the boss is defeated pick up any large Xp piles leftover. If there are none just go back to standing still until the 10 marca de minuto. There will be eyeballs shooting at you from 14 para 12 min some builds will be able to stand still and only dodge when the bullets get close, while others may have to walk up to the eyeballs to eliminate them. Either way make sure you stay near the center of your circle while getting rid or dodging those pesky eyeballs. No 10:00 the flying monsters will start spawning. They start by spawning slowly so use this opportunity to pick up the entirety of your Xp circle while avoiding them, then return to the center and go back to standing still. Once you start seeing eyeballs again (no 9:00) pick up all of your Xp as you will need to move to defeat the next elite anyways. Once the elite is defeated eyeballs will keep spawning until around 6:30 which means we dodge or kill eyeball in a small circle. Then until the last boss only winged enemies will spawn so return to standing still until the 5:15 marca. The boss spawns at 5 minutos, but you want enough time to pick up your experience before the boss cage appears which might cause some of your Xp to be stuck outside. After defeating the boss the small tentacle monsters will spawn again from 4:00 para 2:00 in large quantity. So simply stand still until the 2 marca de minuto. at which point winged creatures will spawn once more. From here run around while killing them and picking up the Xp from your circle until the game ends.
Nearing end game.Uma vez que 5 minute mark is reached, and the last boss is about to spawn, you should start putting all your points into survivability unless you feel that you are missing damage. This means upgrading the Hp, Pyro or Holy shield line if you hadn’t already. Otherwise you should go into the magnet line to pick up Xp faster, which ends up giving you more upgrades and so more survivability.
Exploding enemies. This one should be fairly obvious but in the begining of he game (until the first elite or so) you should try to herd the enemies into large clumps so that you can shoot the exploding enemies and be kill a lot of them at once. This is particularly useful if you build lacks area damage.
2. Fights
There are currently three elite fights and two bosses in the game. These are a few tips to make them easier. Here they are explained in order of appearance in a game.
Bonus general tip: Como regra, spending a little bit of time to clear large packs of monster every 3 para 5 seconds is recommended as it allows you more breathing room while fighting the bosses. (this means you should shoot the boss for a while, then turn to shoot a few rounds into the minions and immediately turn back to shoot the boss)
- 17:00 Floaty Insect. This elite is basically just a regular tentacle minion with a lot of HP that deals double damage. So because it basically is a tentacle minion, treat it as one. Simply run around in a circle to try to herd the regular minions around it so you can shoot both at the same time.
- 15:00 Charging Dino. In my opinion this is the hardest boss/elite in the game, simply because he arrives very early before you have had the time to set up anything through upgrades. This Dino charges at you and deals 2 dano. To defeat this boss I strongly recommend having a way of moving while doing damage. There are a few ways to do this.
- Unlock the run and gun upgrade. This allows you to move while shooting.
- Having a small clip size. This allows you to stutter step (shoot, etapa, shoot, etc) which slows you down less than continuous shooting and is best achieved by using the mini clip synergy which reduces your ammo to 1.
- Using summons. Summon builds deal most of there damage through there pets attacking, allowing them to move at the same time.
- Abby and Hina’s abilities. Both of these characters right mouse button give them some form of mobility. Abby can move while shooting and Hina can dash.
- 8:40 Hive ball. This elite is a slow moving ball that summons very small minions to attack you. It is fairly simple to defeat. I would recommend going around in a circle while always facing it so that your bullets (which hopefully pierce at this point) or any other source of area damage kills monsters that are behind it (most importantly eyeballs), while also dealing with his summons. The most problematic part of this fight is actually the eyeballs that are shooting at you during it. So if for some reason you aren’t able to do full circles around it (dam trees!), I recommend spending a little bit of time killing the eyeballs whenever you see one.
- 5:00 Lazer ball. This boss shoots 5 lasers This boss, similar to the first one, requires good mobility so the same solutions apply. However this boss is a bit more forgiving for two reasons. First you should have enough upgrades by now that you can deal with anything. Second this boss only deals 1 damage with his beams even on darkness 15. This is also why in my general tips i strongly recommended grabbing any Hp regen or max Hp upgrades just before this boss, as it ensures your survival. The other part of this boss is similar to the hive ball because eyeballs will be spawning throughout the fight. In addition to these, suicide bombers will be spawning. To help deal with these minions you should move away from the boss before shooting them, because the boss moves very slowly and only attacks you when within a fairly short range. (sim, even if the beams themselves have infinite range)
- 4:00 Dragão. This elite is similar to the first in that it is exactly the same as some minions. This one however is a buffer version of the flying minions. By this point he should really just be a large punching bag. and if you have low damage you can completely ignore him and focus on surviving instead.
- Global solution If you are struggling with any boss, just know that a high enough attack speed + freeze chance can keep the bosses frozen almost permanently.
3. Runas
So first thing first! When you press play, in the top right of the character/weapon select screen, there is a button called runes. If you press it it will open what amounts to a classic RPG skill tree page. Tada! now you know. It seems to take a lot of people (incluindo eu) a long time before they notice that part of the game even exists.
These runes can be purchased with the points you gain at the end of each game. (Just remember that when you purchase a rune it will automatically be selected so you might have to click on a different one if you only wanted to purchase it.)
- Purchasing priority “The quick version”: This is the order in which I would purchase the runes. Start in the Shield tree:
- Courage
- Momento
- Bênção
- Crescimento (sword tree is next)
- Alacrity
- Close combat
- Glass cannon
- Cadence
- Purchasing priority “The long version”: This is the order in which I would purchase the runes. Basically this means I think they are the best while you are building up your points and are versatile enough to work on every build. Start with the shield tree. The reason the shield tree is first is because we are trying to unlock the rune called “Crescimento” which increases experience gain ASAP. We start on the top right with the rune called “Courage” (reload rate + knockback on reload). This rune is extremely helpful at keeping you alive in the early game and reload rate is good on almost all builds. Then pick up “Momento” (movement speed on Xp pickup), If it wasn’t clear enough movement speed is extremely useful in this game. Next grab Blessing (start the game with the holy shield upgrade and reduce its cooldown). Starting the game with this upgrade means you basically start with a free level. finally for the shield tree we reach “Crescimento” (Increased Xp and heal every 5 níveis), the best rune in the game. If the last rune gives the equivalent of one full level, imagine what this one can do! + free heals! > > Next is the sword tree. First pick either “Alacrity” (Reload and fire rate) as it works with the most builds (gun or elemental). Then pick close combat (Increased damage within vision range), this rune works with literally every build even summons. Afterwards pick “Canhão de vidro” (Bullet damage + fire rate at the cost of HP), the Hp cost is minor and will quickly be refunded by our “Crescimento” runa. Lastly pick Cadence (increased damage every three shots and pierce), most of the bottom runes in the sword tree aren’t great, however the fact that this one allows bullets to pierce makes it the strongest by far,+ it helps gun damage builds.
4. Atualizações
The upgrade trees will be ranked out of a possible 4 pontos (1 point per valuable upgrade in a tree) and will sometimes include .5 points for upgrades that can be good/are niche.(The upgrades are rated in the same order they are shown in the picture.)
Electro Mage(3.5/4) Electro mage & Electro mastery are both excellent skills and the main source of damage for elemental builds. Electro bug & Energized aren’t great but are required to unlock Electro mastery. I gave them each .5 pontos. O último .5 actually comes from the fact that Electro mastery is used to unlock the excellent overload synergy.
Quick hands(2.5/4) This tree is mediocre. Quick hands and Fresh clip actually give a damage increase which makes them valuable. But Kill clip and Armed and ready are mostly useless. Fresh clip does allow the Mini clip synergy to be unlocked and Mini clip is one of, if not THE, best synergy in the game.
Frost mage(4/4) Freezing enemies is excellent and dealing %Hp damage with frostbite and shatter means that it scales at any darkness level. The weakest upgrade has to be ice shard as it mostly works with low ammo guns/Mini clip. The synergy this tree unlocks is pretty bad however which prevents it from going to 4.5.
Pressa(3.5/4) This tree is required for most non-summon, non-Miniclip builds because run and gun let’s you move while shooting. As we have discussed multiple times at this point movement is excellent in 20 minutes till dawn. The only skill that isn’t as good is blazing speed, mostly because burn is baseline not very good. In the wind may seem a bit bullet damage centric (and it is) mas 40% movement speed is nothing to scoff at.
Ghost friend(3.5/4) The ghost friend itself and the Vengeful ghost upgrade are sub-par upgrades. But summon attack speed is extremely important which means the Energetic friends and In sync upgrades are absolutely mandatory for a summoner. O último .5 comes Vengeful ghost unlocking the Summon Mastery synergy, qual, wouldn’t you know it, adds even more summon attack speed.
Light weaponry(2.5) This upgrade tree is a bit odd as it relies on your bullet damage to increase your summon damage, which means it mostly/only works with the grenade launcher, crossbow or revolver. The two dagger upgrades themselves are fine but a little unreliable and got .5 cada. The Sharpen upgrade is pretty terrible, but there is no reason not to take it when you are playing a summoner build. The best upgrade in the tree is actually heavy weaponry simply because it is the only source of consistent and controllable damage. O último .5 is once again earned because the Dual wield upgrade grants access to the Summon mastery synergy.
Magnetism(2/4) Pick up range isn’t a very important stat. Even less so when you focus on mobility. But if you wave nothing else to take I usually recommend taking Magnetism just for the quality of life.
Holy shield(3/4) Holy shield is the best defensive upgrade tree in the game, and the fact that divine blessing increases movement speed and stalwart shield makes the shield reduces its cooldown only makes it better. The only outlier here is Divine wrath which is mostly useless.
Dragon egg(3) The dragon is the strongest summon on its own as it can be played with any build. The Trained dragon upgrade is excellent and I recommend picking it over almost anything else. On the other hand Aged dragon is just okay even though it works with Dragon bond. But Dragon bond only works for bullet damage builds and you would prefer having the scythe and daggers in a bullet damage build every time. If you somehow managed to unlock the dragon and the Aged dragon upgrades at 19:00 the Dragon bond would only be granting you an 11 bullet damage bonus by the 5:00 point which is the last time damage ends up mattering. Which is fine, but usually not worth taking over most other upgrades unless you are trying to build a low base damage gun into a gun damage build (ou seja. Magic bow or Batgun)
Vitalidade(1/4) This defensive tree is mediocre. Most of the time it is much better to just not get hit. Both HP increase upgrade get a .5 because they at least can be helpful for the last few minutes of a game in making sure you survive. Anger point however only works on Diamond and is just OK even then. And regeneration is a bit too slow.
Magic lens(.5/4) The only useful-ish upgrade is the first one. But even so it is only ok on bullet damage or summon builds. I would pick it over some upgrades in those two builds but I generally recommend avoiding it.
Double shot(4/4) More bullets are good for almost every build, with only summoner builds not really needing it. Fan fire is a great upgrade that increases your survivability as your bullets knock enemies away when you reload. The worst upgrade in the tree is Split fire which only got .5 simply because shooting backwards is a bit unreliable. O último .5 points is actually awarded to Fan fire because it unlocks Mini clip.
Fogo rápido(2.5/4) Fire rate is a useful stat for most builds, but it is also not that hard to obtain as most guns have a pretty good base fire rate. Fogo rápido, Rubber bullets and Light bullets each give fire rate which allows them a score of .5. But siege is completely useless as not consuming ammo isn’t useful, and standing still to do it is even worst. The additional point then comes from synergies unlocked by this tree. Siege unlocks Stand your ground which adds projectiles , and the other .5 points is awarded because the tree is required in 2 other synergies, although those synergies are entirely bullet-damage specific.
Power shot(4) This tree basically IS the gun damage build. Splinter, Big shot and Reaper rounds give you area damage which is very useful. Power shot itself however is a bit weak and the additional knock back is mostly annoying as it pushes your XP away so it only gets a score of .5. O último .5 is awarded because Reaper rounds unlocks the Death round synergy which is pretty much mandatory for bullet-damage builds.
Take aim(2.5/4) This tree is a bit niche. Take aim, Penetration and Sniper are mostly useful for their bullet speed. However bullet speed is only useful on the grenade launcher and the shotgun. The Assassin upgrade is actually quite good as % based damage is always useful and is the reason it deserves a full point. It is also one of the few ways to make the flame cannon viable.
Glare(0/4) This tree is almost entirely useless. The damage and its frequency are mediocre. The only use one can get out of this tree is in combination with the close combat rune when playing a summoner build. The close combat rune increases damage dealt to enemies within vision range and every upgrade in the tree increases vision range.
Pyro mage(2.5) The Pyro tree is the worst of the elemental upgrade trees. Pyro mage itself makes your bullets inflict burn, but burn is a slow damaging condition. In a game all about surviving a short period of time something as slow as burn is pretty bad. For the same reason Intense burn (which increases burn damage) is pretty bad. Soothing warmth is a good survival upgrade when paired with the dragon or most elemental builds and is excellent/mandatory on Diamond. Last but not least Fire starter is excellent. It adds a lot of damage to any build and unlocks the Overload synergy for an additional .5.
5. Synergies
Just a quick review of synergies, to explain which ones you should build towards and which ones you should avoid.
Death rounds: (+10 base damage, -1 max Hp)Death rounds is a fine synergy, adding base bullet damage makes it perfect for low base damage guns that you want to build into gun damage. Avoid it on the grenade launcher as your damage is already extremely high and the health reduction is a risk.
Frost fire:(Causes frozen enemies to burn)This synergy is completely useless as the Pyro mage upgrade which is required to unlock it gives your bullets a 50% chance to burn and the Frost mage only gives a 35% chance to freeze. Isso significa isso 99% of the time frozen enemies will already be burning. (and of course as i have said many times, damage over time is pretty bad overall)
Gun mastery:(15% dano de bala, fire rate and reload rate. +1 max ammo, +1 piercing)This Synergy is fine but definitely not worth working towards. Any bullet damage build will end up unlocking it at some point or another and it should probably be picked then as it is better than most upgrades.
Mini clip:(100% reload rate, 50% dano de bala. Max ammo of 1)The best Synergy in the game. This is simply due to its interaction with things like Fan fire, Ice shard and Aftershock which trigger upon reloading. If you want to be untouchable and a screen full of bullets this is the way to go. Almost always worth rushing to.
Sobrecarga:(Lightning that strike a burning enemy explodes for 25 dano bônus) For most of the game the electro mage and Frost mage trees should give you plenty of damage so i would’t recommend rushing to get this one. But one your build is set up dipping into the Pyro mage tree to unlock this synergy is always worth it.
Mantenha-se firme:(+2 projéteis, +25% fire rate, -25% velocidade de movimento)This is an excellent Synergy. The problem is that it requires you to take siege which is completely useless. This means that Stand your ground basically costs you 2 níveis. It is however extremely strong, so at some point if siege is among other mediocre/terrible options when you level up it is still worth picking up for the chance of getting this synergy. (The movement speed reduction is slightly annoying, but when you get this synergy you should be at a point where it is no longer a problem)
Maestria de Invocação:(35% Invocar danos, 35% summon attack speed, -35% Bullet damage)If the name wasn’t a dead giveaway, this synergy will (or at least should) always be available to any summoner build. O 35% bullet damage reduction is irrelevant ant the 35% attack speed for your summons is absolutely terrific.
6. Tomes
At long last we come to tomes. Tomes are massive upgrades which are dropped by the two bosses that appear during the game (no 15:00 e 5:00). There are currently only 6 Tomes in the game and each boss gives you a choice of 3. This means you could see all of them in a game, however this isn’t guaranteed as you could see the same Tome multiple times. The Tome you get after defeating the first boss will have the most impact on your run and can even make or break it. It is almost always worth grabbing a tome, although in some contexts it may be worth avoiding them as they do always come with hefty downsides. Here’s the breakdown.
Tome of Elasticity:(+2 Bullet bounce. -1 HP, -25% dano de bala)I find this one to be one of the worst of Tomes. It is fine and still worth picking up in any non bullet-damage centric builds. This is because most bullet-damage builds have a lot of pierce which minimizes the utility of bounce. Other builds that utilize pierce, like the shotgun won’t make great use of it either. Of course you should completely avoid any bounce with the grenade launcher unless you have a deathwish.
Tome of Elements:(+35% lightning damage, burn damage and freeze duration. -50% Bullet damage)Elemental damage is already the strongest mechanic in the game. If you are playing an elemental build take it! Otherwise pass.
Tome of Power:(+50% dano de bala, 100% bullet size, +1 Pierce. -25% Fire rate, -1 HP máximo)-1 Max Hp can be costly to some builds, but if you are playing a bullet-damage build you should still pick it every time. The only gun that might prefer tome of rage is the grenade launcher since it’s base damage is so high.
Tome of Rage:(+66% fire rate, +60 spread, triple max ammo. -50% dano de bala, -95% knockback)Tome of rage is excellent on elemental builds as they don’t rely on bullet damage and can make use of the attack speed through the Fire starter and Electro mage upgrades. I would actually pick it above the Tome of Elements on Characters like Spark and Yuki that have each X bullet triggers. As stated earlier I would also pick it over Tome of power on a grenade launcher run.
Tome of Speed:(+50% velocidade de movimento. -1 max Hp)I find this to be a mediocre book. But unlike tome of elasticity it works on every build. So if neither of the two other books offer anything to your build I would say take it. Na verdade, take it only at the first boss specifically. If you have survived to the second boss it probably means you have enough movement speed by that point and it isn’t worth loosing the max Hp.
Tome of Summoning:(+50% summon damage and attack speed. -50% Reload speed)As the name implies it is perfect for summoner builds which don’t usually tend to shoot much anyways. It is also the best Tome when playing a bullet-damage batgun build.
7. Armas
Here I will simply be ranking guns from worst to best.
8. Canhão de chama:As i probably have made clear by now I really don’t like burn damage. It’s slow and convoluted. I would always prefer having upfront damage. It does however have a pretty good fire rate.
7. Arma de fogo:The batgun scales off of both bullet damage and summon damage. Which seems cool if its base damage wasn’t this low. (Also it seems to not be working with death rounds which would probably make it much better, if someone else would like to test this I would love to know if I’m just imagining things.)
6. Besta:The crossbow itself is fine, it has high base damage and works very well with the mini clip synergy. The problem is that charging it up is always worst then just clicking a hundred times with mini clip. Which makes it quite annoying to play and makes it lose its “sniper feel” instead just becoming a bad revolver.
5. Magic Bow:This is the newest weapon and I haven’t played it as much. If we ignore the bugs it is actually a really (and probably the best) gun for a bullet-damage build. This is because your arrows benefit from any gun damage increase when being shot and upon returning (absolutely excellent with death rounds). You usually want to increase ammo capacity and reload speed as well so that you can set up large bursts of damage
4. Revólver:The revolver has good damage and good fire rate. It only lacks area damage which means it requires the double shot tree. But because the double shot tree is one of the better tree’s in the game it really isn’t a problem.
3. Lançador de granadas:The grenade launcher is excellent in two types of builds. For summoner’s it allows you to deal with enemies until your summons can do it on their own and increases your dagger/scythe summon damage. It is also great in a bullet-damage build as it has excellent base damage, just make sure you make your bullets pierce as well as increase their speed, otherwise you might actually kill yourself. As another small note I generally avoid the haste upgrade tree when picking the grenade launcher as the extra speed may cause you to walk into your own grenades.
2. Submetralhadora Dupla:The SMG deserves this spot simply because elemental damage is the best source of damage in the game. On its own it’s a pretty terrible gun, having low reload rate and low damage. What makes it this good is its extremely high fire rate and the fact that each gun triggers “every X shot” effect separately. (This means that the Fire starter upgrade which usually triggers every 5 shots actually triggers ever 2.5 shots.)
1. Espingarda:The shotgun is the best gun in the game for one simple reason. It is THE best gun to pair with Mini clip and mini clip is insane. It can work with gun damage and elemental builds so you aren’t locked in a build from the start. It’s only small downside is that you must use the Take aim upgrade to increase its range.
8. Optimal builds
Esse , like the rest of this guide, is my opinion only. But I would strongly recommend trying these builds out! And if any of you have other builds ideas I would love to see them in the comments! Every character build will also include their (passiva) and character specific upgrades which are dropped by elites. These will be sorted from best to worst (1 being best 3 being worst)
Isenção de responsabilidade!: Elemental damage is BY FAR the best source of damage, so literally every character could end up working if you lean into elemental damage. But that wouldn’t be fun now would it. Also Mini clip is again BY FAR the best upgrade, so if you combine it with elemental damage you’ll be fine.
Shana
Shana:(Can reroll upgrades once per level) This is an excellent passive which gives her great versatility and prevents you from being stuck picking a bad upgrade. (most of the time at least lol)
1.
Quick Learner:( Increase experience gain by 40% ) This is the upgrade you want to see every game after the first elite. Additional Xp means more upgrades!
2.
Especialize-se:(Triple the effect of the next Upgrade you take) This upgrade is very dependent on the next upgrade you end up getting which is why i usually want to see it at the second elite once I have access to better upgrades to triple.
3.
Shana’s halo:(Adiciona 3 upgrade to you pool once you collect all 3 subsídios: 50% fire rate, 50% reload rate, 75% Vision range) I would ONLY take this upgrade if it is the first one that drops. The bonuses the halo grants are pretty good, but the fact that it add 3 useless upgrades to your pool kind of negates it. If you happen to find it at the first elite and are playing a build that requires reload rate is the only context where I would take it.
– Shana is extremely versatile, gaining more XP and being able to re roll upgrades means she can build into pretty much anything. Shana’s halo is slightly better with small clip sizes as its most relevant stat bonus is it’s reload speed. For this reason I recommend playing her with the Shotgun. For her damage source you can go for any of them (elemental/summon/bullet-damage) but elemental is the best source of damage currently available so i would recommend that. Because she is so versatile I would recommend playing with the runes that I recommended unlocking first as they also are very versatile. This should let you go into any build and adapt. (otherwise if you have an idea of the build you want to play before starting the game, simply look at the builds of other characters and she should be able to accomplish something very similar, even mimicking Diamond if you take the max Hp boost with your triple upgrade)
Diamante
Diamante:(Starts with 7 Max Hp) This makes her the only character able to profitably use “half-hp” ou “upon taking damage effects” which are excellent when paired with her.
1.
Furioso:(Increase Fire Rate and Reload Rate by +10% permanently every time you get hit) Fire rate and reload rate work on both elemental and bullet-damage builds which makes this one her best upgrade. It additionally triggers off of damage which is something that you can control. Making it less random than bulk up.
2.
Bulk up:(Increase Bullet Damage and Bullet Size by +15% permanently every time you heal) This one is slightly worst than Berserk, because it only works with bullet damage builds, however as you will see I strongly recommend bullet damage on Diamond to make use of various runes and upgrades.
3.
Strong will:(When Diamond’s HP is at or below half of Max HP, increase Piercing +2 and Knockback +25%) This one is fine and isn’t time sensitive as it doesn’t build up over the course of the game. Making finding it last preferable.
– Diamond’s optimal build revolves around health regeneration and Max Hp increases to make the most of her abilities. You will want to keep yourself at half Hp at all times, controlling your health through healing and taking damage intentionally (This will also help you build up Berserk and Bulk up quickly). Having a high max Hp means that even at half Hp you should still have more than all other characters. I would also recommend building towards bullet damage to make the most of her Bulk up upgrade. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional,
Upgrade to avoid) I would recommend are:
- Sword Runes: poder (for bullet damage), Aftershock, Glass cannon (Mandatory as it trigger’s half-hp effects at the start of the game), Cadence
- Shield runes: Tenacity (50% hp fire rate), Momento, cura (allows you to control when you heal), Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of Power) I would recommend only picking up the tome of power on Diamond. It synergizes perfectly with her build and the -1 hp is a small cost. Otherwise if you really want to pick up a tome the tome of speed is fine and may give you a little survivability. The tome of elasticity is also fine, but don’t reduce your max Hp too much, you already need death bullets.
- Armas: A high base damage gun is recommended. So Revolver, Besta, Grenade launcher and Magic bow. (The grenade launcher is preferable as you can directly control when you take damage, on the other hand the bow benefits twice from bullet damage increases, making it very strong with bulk up)
- Atualizações: (Pyro mage, Double shot, Power shot, Quick hands, Vitality/Rapid fire, Frost mage, Haste/light weaponry, Holy shield) This is a strange character as it is the only one that actively wants to go into two of the worst upgrade tree’s in the game. These are the Vitality and Pyro mage tree’s. I would prioritize getting soothing warmth perk from the Pyro tree ASAP. Since the build allows it you probably want to go for the Death rounds (not on grenade launcher), Gun mastery, Mini clip and Stand your ground Synergies. This only requires that you put a few points in the Rapid fire tree. This Detour is extremely important for the magic bow so you can unlock Death rounds. The frost mage tree is overall excellent and even better if you get Miniclip. You only want haste if you are for some reason not getting Mini clip or have nothing better to take. Light weaponry is only good with the grenade launcher. You want to avoid taking Holy shield at all costs as it prevents you from taking direct damage to health.

Scarlett:(Todo 3 shot throw a wave of fire that burns) This Passive is completely useless other than the fact that it allows you to skip putting points into the Pyro tree. The problem is that the Pyro tree unlocks the very strong Overload synergy so you end up taking it anyways.
1.
Piromaníaco:(Scarlett gain +10% Fire Rate every time she inflicts Burn. This buff resets on reload) This is her best upgrade by far as it is the only one that isn’t directly buffing burn. It only works with large clip guns, which means you will want to use larger clip sizes.
2.
Pyro affinity: (Dano de bala -25%, Burn Damage +67%) Burn isn’t great but a 67% damage increase is nothing to scoff at.
3.
Lasting flame:(Burn lasts twice as long) As if anything lived that long without you reapplying burn.
– Scarlett in my opinion is by far the worst character in the game. Her passive as discussed above is made completely irrelevant by the Pyro tree. And her personal upgrades are all subpar. Being very burn centric I of course recommend an elemental damage build for her. Doing an elemental build also helps her as elements are the best source of damage in the game which compensates for how lackluster she is. I would slightly recommend using a large clip gun to make use of the Pyromaniac upgrade, but the miniclip synergy is good enough that you shouldn’t bother with that too much. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional) I would recommend are:
- Sword runes: Alacrity, Elemental barrage, Glass cannon, Ethereal (to combo with Pyromaniac)
- Shield runes: Vigilância, Elemental shield, Bênção, Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of Elements, Tome of rage) Obviously Scarlett likes fire damage so the tome of the elements is great on her. I would also take tome of rage every time as she has no use for bullet damage.
- Armas: A large clip gun is recommended. Which means the Dual SMGs or Batgun. I do not recommend using the flame Cannon however as it, just like her passive, is only useful to skip the pyro tree which she wants to go into for the elemental damage anyways. Otherwise you can completely ignore her Pyromaniac upgrade and just use a good gun instead like the Shotgun, Grenade launcher or Revolver.
- Atualizações: (Pressa, Frost mage, Electro mage, Double shot, , Pyro mage, Quick hands/Rapid fire, Dragon egg) Trying to obtain large clip sizes also means you will be spending a lot of time shooting, making Run and gun mandatory. Being an elemental build Frost and Electro mage are required with Pyro being far behind as usual, but don’t neglect unlocking the Overload synergy which drastically improves your damage output. Quick hands and rapid fire grant access to clip size increasing upgrades: Armed and ready and Light bullets respectively. If the dragon egg is available sometime before the 15:00 minute mark I would recommend grabbing it and the Trained dragon upgrade to help with your overall damage.
Hina
Hina:(Right click to dash and summon a static clone that deals your bullet damage in an area around it) This passive is quite practical as it allows you to skip the haste upgrade tree. You can dodge out of most problems with one click and the summon left behind isn’t half bad.
1.
Hidden blade:(Hina is now Invincible during her dash. Hina’s dash deals damage equal to 3x her Bullet Damage to enemies in the way) This is incredibly strong. The dash is already an excellent tool of evasion, but being able to dash through walls of enemies that block your way is even better. The added damage is also a nice touch.
2.
Enhanced shadow:(Convocar Dano +25%, Shadow Clone attacks 3 times faster) Summons can be played on hina, and most of the time you will want to play with the daggers/scythe at the very least, so this is a nice bonus.
3.
Manobra:(Hina automatically reloads her gun after using her dash) I see basically no use to this. Except I guess to compensate for the Tome of summoning’s -50% velocidade de recarga? meh..
– Hina is in a similar space as Shana, her upgrades and passive are more survivability centric so any build should work on her. However i do think Hina has an optimal build and it is bullet-damage, specifically with the grenade launcher. The reason for this is that her minions deal damage equal to her bullet damage and her ability to dash helps avoiding hitting yourself with your grenades in the early game. To stop you from killing yourself, the build focuses on transforming the grenade launcher into a “grenade sniper”. This is achieved by increasing bullet speed and piercing so that the grenades explode as far away as possible from you. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional) I would recommend are:
- Sword runes: Poder, Close combat, Glass cannon, Cadence
- Shield runes: Vigilância (helps with close combat), Seismic ward (Compensates for the lack of Courage early game), Bênção, Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of Rage, Tome of Power, Tome of Summoning) Tome of rage is the best possible tome as you don’t need much help in the damage department when playing with the grenade launcher. Second is The tome of power as it adds piercing, but make sure you have enough bullet speed and piercing before picking it or you might kill yourself. Tome of summoning is mediocre, but if you happen to have a lot of other summons its worth picking up.
- Armas: Grenade launcher is best, but other high gun damage gun’s can work (Revólver, Besta, Magic bow). I would say the second best is the magic bow as your dash allows you to reposition before reloading.
- Atualizações: (Take aim, Double shot, Quick hands, Power shot, Frost mage, Light weaponry, Glare/Magnetism, Dragon egg/Rapid fire) Take aim is the best upgrade tree for the grenade launcher as it adds piercing and bullet speed. Double shot and Quick hands allow you to unlock Mini clip which, como de costume, é excelente. Power shot increases your damage and also adds piercing, just make sure you don’t take splinter or you will die. Frost mage works perfectly with Mini clip and is just one of the best tree’s overall. Light weaponry is the least prioritized tree because your base damage is so high it isn’t actually necessary and it is pretty annoying early in the game when your dagger kills a monster at the other end of the map and you have to walk to go grab the Xp. By the end of the game though you should have picked it up. Glare/Magnetism can be used to increase your vision range which helps with close combat and can help any summon you picked up along the way. Lastly the dragon egg and Rapid fire trees are specifically for non-grenade launcher builds, when you need to increase your base gun damage through aged dragon or death bullets.
Fagulha
Fagulha:(Bullets have 50% chance of striking the target with lightning) This is BY FAR the strongest passive in the game, Spark basically gets to ignore the written bullet damage of a gun and add 5 damage on top of it. It of course also synergizes ridiculously well with Electro mastery, which makes it do 17 dano.
1.
Electro affinity: (Dano de bala -25%, Lightning Damage +50%) This is the overall best upgrade she has. It increases exactly what you want to do as Spark.
2.
Charged up:(Every 3rd Lightning strike deals double damage, and generates 1 munição) This one is better than Electro affinity on large clip size gun’s as you should be able to shoot forever at some point.
3.
Electrical fire:(Lightning strikes also inflict Burn for 3 dano por segundo) As usual burn is completely useless.
– Spark is
Ostrongest character in the game, making winning trivial on pretty much any build. Bullet-damage, convocar, elemental, Não importa. Agora, obviamente, there is an optimal way to play her. That would be bullet-damage… Just kidding its clearly elemental damage. I will basically use Spark as a core example of what an elemental damage build should look like and this can be transferred to literally any character and be viable. It just happens to be optimal on Spark because she is that strong. I will divide it into two builds 1. The large clip build and 2. The Mini clip build. The Mini clip build is actually the better one, but large clip is still extremely strong and is also very fun to play.
1. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional,
Upgrade to avoid)) I would recommend for the large clip build are:
- Sword runes: Alacrity, Elemental barrage, Canhão de vidro, Ethereal
- Shield runes: Courage (to survive early), Elemental shield, Bênção, Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of Rage, Tome of elements, Tome of Elasticity) Tome of rage is actually better than Tome of Elements specifically on Sparks to trigger her passive more often. On any other character Tome of Elements edges it out. Tome of elasticity is fine as elemental builds don’t mind the bullet damage reduction and it is the only max Hp reduction they can get.
- Armas: The SMG’s are of course the kings of Ammo capacity which makes them perfect for this build. Otherwise the Batgun and Flame Cannon also work.
- Atualizações: (Frost mage, Electro mage, Double shot, Pressa, Pyro mage, Fogo rápido. Quick hands) Frost mage is the best source of damage in the game because it deals % health damage and it gives incredible survivability. Electro mage is the secondary source of elemental damage and it works even better on Spark. Haste unlocks Run and gun which is mandatory on any large clip build. Pyro mage is mostly here to unlock Firestarter and the Overload Synergy. Rapid fire unlocks Siege and the Stand your ground synergy. You should avoid the Quick hands upgrade tree as there will be a point when you will be reloading very rarely, even more so if you took tome of rage.
2. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional) I would recommend for the Mini clip build are:
- Sword runes: Alacrity, Aftershock, Canhão de vidro, Cadence
- Shield runes: Courage, Elemental shield, Bênção, Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of elements, Tome of Elasticity) Tome of elements is perfect since you don’t really need the fire rate of Tome of rage with Mini clip. Tome of Elasticity is a generally fine pick for elemental builds.
- Armas: The shotgun is optimal as it starts with a very small ammo pack and good area damage (simply note that the Take aim should be added as the top priority in this case). The crossbow also starts with only one bullet making it a perfect fit, the only problem is you will be clicking A LOT. Otherwise pretty much every other gun works except the SMG. The grenade launcher and Magic bow benefit from bullet damage more than elemental damage but should work just fine.
- Atualizações: (Double shot, Quick hands, Frost mage, Electro mage, Pyro mage) As you can see this build requires very few unlocked upgrades, which is why it is the best build in the game. You are opening the Double shot and Quick hands trees first to give yourself the best chance of finding Fan fire and Fresh clip. These two upgrades will get you the Mini clip synergy. Once you have Mini clip you can start opening as many upgrade trees as you want but until then try to focus on closing as many trees as possible to get the best chance of finding Mini clip. The three elemental damage help you do damage. Other than that you can take pretty much anything else, however I would recommend not opening too many trees before getting Ice shards from the Frost mage tree and the Overload synergy which combines Electro mastery and Fire starter.
Lilith
Lilith:(On kill, summon a spirit that deals 8 dano) Summon builds aren’t the best, but getting a splinter/shatter equivalent as a passive that scales with summon damage is excellent.
1.
Undead army:(Convocar Dano +35%, Velocidade de Ataque de Invocação +35%) Summon Attack speed is the most important stat you can get for a summon build.
2.
Necromante: (Convocar Dano +20%, Lilith summons an additional Spirit when enemies are killed) The summon damage is minor but getting a second spirit is quite good.
3.
Necrophile:(Ganho +35% Move Speed for 1 second when an enemy is killed) Summoners are already the most mobile builds in the game as they don’t rely on shooting. This upgrade would be excellent on any other character. Here its just fine. (Also can we please change the name…)
– Lilith is a decent character, the only problem is that summons themselves aren’t the best source of damage. But if you want to play a summoner build Lilith is the character for you. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional) I would recommend for the build are:
- Sword runes: Poder, Close combat (works with summons), Glass canon (Gun glyph if you aren’t playing the grenade launcher), Just avoid dedication as your passive summons minions.
- Shield runes: Vigilância (combo’s with close combat), Seismic ward (to compensate for the lack of courage), Bênção, Crescimento.
- Tomes: (Tome of Summoning, Tome of Elements, Tome of speed) Tome of summoning is obviously perfect. Tome of elements may increase the damage of the dragon and the lightning bug (i’m not sure though). The tome of speed is just if there is nothing else. You spend most of your time running around so it’s not bad.
- Armas: The grenade launcher is by far the best weapon for summoners as it helps you survive the early game through its high area damage that doesn’t require you to put points into any upgrades. Additionally it works perfectly with the daggers/scythe. Otherwise the Batgun is fine but it lends itself better to a bullet-damage / summon damage hybrid build. The other two high base damage guns are also fine (Revólver & Besta).
- Atualizações: (Dragon egg, Ghost friend, Light weapons, Holy shield, Pyro mage, Vitalidade, Pressa, Electro mage) Dragon egg is first simply because you want it as early as possible so that you can get the greatest benefit from aged and trained dragon. Ghost friend is actually the best summon because it unlocks a total of 65% summon attack speed. Light weapons work really well with the grenade launcher and are otherwise just OK. You should try to open as few upgrade trees as possible while strengthening your minions to try and find the Summon mastery synergy ASAP for another 35% summon attack speed. Once you have all of that any survivability is welcome. Holy shield being the best. Followed by Pyro because of your dragons burns enemies constantly which will heal you through Soothing warmth, just make sure to avoid picking Fire starter. Lastly comes Vitality for some base Hp increase. You may prefer taking haste over or in addition to any of these, whatever floats your boat. Lastly when you feel comfortable with your survivability you can go into the Electro mage for the electro bug, again you should avoid taking Energized.
Abby
Abby:(Right click to empty your ammo in random directions) This is an odd ability, its main utility is that it allows you to move while shooting.
1.
Make it rain:(Double how fast Abby fires during her special skill) Emptying large clips fast is what Abby is all about.
2.
Tempestade de balas:(Espalhar +40, Taxa de incêndio -31%, Projéteis +2) This upgrade helps your gun “aim” since the more projectiles you have the less likely you are to miss.
3.
Redemoinho:(Increase Move Speed and Reload Rate by 35% para 2 seconds after reloading) Abby doesn’t really lack in movement, reload speed is fine.
– Abby is my favourite character. I love the chaos she creates on the screen and although you have to work around her passive, the fact that she can ignore the haste tree is really nice. She can work with pretty much any damage source as long as you have enough projectiles and/or clip size to balance the fact she can’t aim. The best gun on Abby is the Batgun because the bats don’t require you to aim. Otherwise the SMG works because of its extremely large clip size. I would say there are two optimal builds for Abby. The Large clip summon/bullet-damage hybrid and the classic large clip elemental damage build. Total transparency here the elemental damage build is miles better than the hybrid build but that’s just no fun.
1. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional) I would recommend for the hybrid build are:
- Sword runes: Poder, Close combat, Glass cannon, Cadence
- Shield runes: Vigilância (combo’s with close combat), Seismic ward (to compensate for the lack of Courage), Bênção, Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of Summoning, Tome of Power) Tome of summoning actually increases your bullet damage by 50% and helps any summons you definitely picked up along the way. Tome of power just increases your bullet damage but that’s still pretty good.
- Armas: The Batgun is optimal on this build since its damage scales off of both gun and summon damage.
- Atualizações: (Dragon egg, Power shot, Fogo rápido, Light weaponry, Quick hands, Vitalidade, Double shot/Ghost friend, Frost mage) Dragon egg as early as possible specifically to get aged dragon as early as possible, which makes dragon bond add to our base bullet damage. Power shot and rapid fire are taken next to unlock Death rounds ASAP for the same reason as the dragon (base bullet damage). Next priority is light weaponry because it is based on your weapon damage and increases it. Quick hands for the extra ammo granted by Armed and ready and the fact that it unlocks the Gun mastery synergy (which also gives extra ammo). Vitality may be necessary as both death bullets and tome of power reduce your max hp and elites deal 2 damage at darkness 15 which means you would get one shot. Double shot and ghost friend are just other ways to increase your damage output. Frost mage is just the best upgrade tree in the game and greatly increases any builds survivability so why not.
2. For the elemental build you can simply copy Sparks large clip build using the Batgun instead of the SMG’s and ignore the Haste upgrade tree.
Yuki
Yuki:(Every 6th shot sends a butterfly that freezes enemies around it or damages already frozen enemies) This is fairly strong as it increases your survivability early game and your damage as soon as you get the Frost mage upgrade. Additionally because the butterfly deal bullet damage it pushed you towards a elemental/bullet damage build, which is quite unique.
1.
Pair up:(Send out an additional butterfly) Double the damage, double the freeze, double the fun!
2.
Brittle:(Frozen enemies take 30% dano extra) When playing a bullet damage build this is quite a sizeable damage increase.
3.
Butterfly dance:(Double how often your butterfly freezes or damages enemies) This may actually be the best one, but because we don’t know how often the butterflies attack it’s hard to say. Either way when playing Yuki you will be happy every time you get any of her upgrades.
– Yuki is a very interesting addition to the game as she is the first character to scale both off of bullet and elemental damage. This means that playing her with a high base damage gun is quite important as opposed to all other elemental builds. Elemental damage being so strong you could of course ignore her synergies and go for a regular shotgun Mini clip build. I would argue that her optimal build is actually the elemental/bullet damage hybrid.
1. If you want to play a regular elemental build you can go check Spark’s shotgun Mini clip for what is probably just the best build on any other character.
2. The runes, tomes (in order of priority), guns and upgrades (in order of priority,
Conditional) I would recommend for the hybrid build are:
- Sword runes: Poder, Qualquer, Glass cannon, Cadence
- Shield runes: Courage, Elemental shield, Bênção, Crescimento
- Tomes: (Tome of Power, Tome of Elements) Both tomes are pretty equivalent. Tome of power balances out the negatives of tome of elements making them optimal together. Tome of elements increases freeze duration which allows your butterflies to deal more damage.
- Armas: Any high base damage gun works: Revólver, Besta, Lançador de granadas. Even the bow would be fine. I personally play it with the revolver, but again whatever floats your boat.
- Atualizações: (Frost mage, Power shot, Electro mage, Quick hands, Double shot/Rapid fire, Pyro mage) Frost mage is obviously excellent as it allows your butterflies to immediately start dishing out damage. The power shot tree gives you piercing and a bunch of damage, while also unlocking splinter which combos extremely well with shatter to destroy large packs of monsters. Next is quick hands as it unlocks good synergies. If you feel like going into a Mini clip build pick Double shot next. If you are tired of Mini clip builds go into rapid fire to unlock Gun mastery. Either way you can end up with both if you want. Pyro mage is last to add a bit more elemental damage and the Overload synergy as usual.
9. General achievement guide
If for some reason you wan’t to be done with this game as fast as possible here is the fastest way to complete every achievement. If a game takes 30 minutes on average (adding a little bit of time for rune and upgrade picking), it should take you 690 minutos (11.5 horas) to unlock darkness 15 and complete darkness level 15 on each character and gun using my method (it could technically take 10.5 hours if you played each character and gun only once, but in my opinion terrible builds will cause you to die a lot and waste time). O outro 10 achievements can be completed fairly easily on darkness 0 and can take as high as 5 jogos (doing each individually) and as low as 2 jogos (by combining multiple achievements) I recommend doing 3 jogos (1 hora e 20 minutos). This means that to complete all achievements efficiently should take you about 13 horas. There is of course a fairly high chance that you will die at least once attempting this which will increase the amount of time required. But I will try to give you builds and strategies that make your survival as likely as possible in each of those games.
- Sunrise: (Survive the full 20 minutos) This one will inevitably be unlocked if you are going for achievements
- Dark night, Darker night, Darkest night, Pitch black: (Survive on darkness 1,5,10,15) Again these are unlocked by simply playing the game. I would recommend playing until darkness 14 with whatever build you feel most comfortable with. I personally did it with Spark because she is much too strong. But doing it on a Shana shotgun build will get you more Xp which translates to more runes being unlocked when you get to darkness 15.
- On the edge: (Survive the night with 1 Max HP at the end) I would recommend playing a bullet-damage build to complete this one as death bullets ensures you have access to a -1 Hp upgrade and the second one can come from a Tome. Make sure you take a 3 Hp character to again give yourself the highest chance of succeeding. You may just never find a tome that reduces you Hp and if that’s the case I am very sorry for you. The build I would specifically recommend for this is Yuki’s hybrid build since Freezing enemies will help a lot with survivability. If you want to play a different build just make sure you take Frost mage early anyways. I could even see taking the Mysticism rune for this specific achievement.
- Reckless: (Survive the night with Abby and the Grenade Launcher by only using Abby’s special ability to fire) This one forces you to use specific things, but strangely I would recommend using Hina’s grenade launcher build to complete it.
- Ágil: (Survive the night without getting hit) This one literally only requires practice at the game so don’t rush into it. I would recommend completing it at the same time as On the edge. Since you don’t want to get hit anyways. Before doing it you should unlock the Blessing rune so that you start the game with holy shield and upgrade it as fast as possible. This is because the achievement only takes into account actually losing HP. (Might be a bug, but for now it works)
- Pacifista: (Survive the night without firing your gun) This achievement requires that you use Hina, as she is the oncly character (atualmente) that can deal damage without shooting by using her right click to summon her minion to deal damage. You should of course use the Grenade launcher to make your summons deal as much damage as possible. Because you will be using summons as your main source of damage you can just copy Lilith’s summoner build.
- Gotta catch ‘em all: (Survive the night with 8 summons as the end) This is easily achievable with any character, but of course Lilith is the master of summons. There is a problem though the upgrades actually only allow for 7 convocação. The last one is actually the runes summoned by Seismic ward so make sure you equip it before going for this achievement.
- How to complete them efficiently
Efficient path: Completing these achievements can technically be done in 2 games as only two of them are character specific and you could for example do nimble, pacifist and gotta catch em’ all in one game. Keeping reckless and on the edge for the Abby game since she benefits from the bullet-damage increase. But that would be risky. You could also do 4 of them on Hina and just do Abby’s on its own. But on the edge does not combine particularly well with a non bullet-damage build. So I recommend doing three games in darkness 0 to complete these achievements:
- Ágil & On the edge: As I said they combine very well since they are both about survival and Yuki’s playstyle already likes to abuse freezing enemies and dealing bullet damage.
- Pacifista & Gotta catch ‘em all: Just playing a summon build on Hina will unlock these achievements. I still want to note a few things. First of all as stated earlier you NEED the Seismic ward rune (até 1 point in it is fine). Second you should prioritize the Electro mage tree more than usual as you will need the Electro bug too. Lastly make sure you remove the finger you use to click the left mouse button from the mouse entirely, you wouldn’t want to accidentally press it and have to start again.
- Reckless: Simply follow the achievement recommendations.
10. Pistola & Conquistas de personagem
(Mastery, Fallen angel, Strongwoman, Piromaníaco, Master ninja, Thunder god, Necromastery, Bullet mania, Yokai. The names are just here in case someone is trying to CTRL+F their way to these achievements)
Então, as I eluded to earlier you could complete these 16 achievements by playing 8 games which use each character and each gun. The problem with doing this is that some characters really need specific guns to work properly and using non-optimal builds might cause you to die a bunch of time. For example when I was trying to complete the achievements my brain just jumped to Scarlett + Flamethrower has to be what you should do right. But I unknowingly combined THE worst character with THE worst gun in the game. So I died. Sobre. e mais. And over again. I ended up succeeding but I would’t wish it on my worst enemy. Instead I propose doing 9 games to unlock these 16 conquistas. I believe that playing a few more games while avoiding subpar builds might save you a lot of time spent dying in the long run. So here are the 9 jogos:
- Spark/Flame Cannon: The reason you combine these is because Spark can beat the game with literally any gun. So you may as well pair her with the worst gun in the game, which just so happens to have a fire rate and ammo capacity. This works perfectly with her large clip build. But to be safe (because it’s overall better) I would still recommend going for the Mini clip version of the build to give the flame cannon the best chance. Just like with the shotgun you’ll want to go down the Take aim tree as a priority although in the case of the flame cannon its because of the Assassin upgrade which kills enemies below 20% HP. This helps a lot with how bad burn damage is. You may also need to prioritize the Overload synergy before Mini clip itself.
- Scarlett/Shotgun: On the opposite end here we combine the best gun with the worst character. I would simply recommend doing the basic Mini clip shotgun elemental build you can find in Spark’s recommended builds. I would again aim for Overload quickly, but not over Mini clip in this case.
- Diamond/Bow: Diamond gains a lot of free bullet damage and the bow scales well with it. Simply play Diamond’s optimal build with a bow.
- Hina/Grenade: Hina’s optimal weapon is the Grenade launcher. So again simply follow her optimal build.
- Abby/Batgun: The Batgun is Abby’s optimal weapon so you can do it with either of her builds. Although obviously elemental damage is the best type of damage so if you want to have an easier time play that one. (But the bullet damage one is really fun)
- Yuki/Revolver: I personally enjoy the fact that a full clip of the revolver shoots out a butterfly and it is one of her optimal weapons. Simply follow either of her builds.
- Shana/Crossbow: The crossbow is the second best gun on Shana. And although it will involve a lot of clicking, the mini clip elemental build shown in Spark’s optimal builds should get you this achievement easily.
- Lilith/Grenade: Here is the first repeat. Lilith is one of the harder characters to beat darkness 15 with as summons just aren’t the best source of damage. So to give yourself the best chance I recommend playing her optimal build with the grenade launcher. This one may take a couple tries sorry. Otherwise you can as usual fully ignore the character mechanic and just do a mini clip elemental shotgun build.
- Spark/SMG: The second repeat. Here the character is repeated simply because it completely ensures that you will only need to play one game to unlock the achievement. Spark is extremely strong and her large clip build is perfect for the SMG. The SMG could work on a multitude of other character since it is a pretty good gun. Spark is just that much stronger.
