Find out exactly when enemies respond to your movement and whether traps will fire before or after that. W tym przewodniku, the finer details of the game’s rules/mechanics are explained. This can help you discover some of the trickier solutions in the game.
Wstęp
Treasure Temples features all kinds of tiles, traps and enemies. Each of these comes with their own set of rules/mechanics. In order to save you some reading time, this guide will assume you have familiarized yourself with the basics of the game and limit itself to a discussion of more complicated behavior
Obstacle behavior
Majdan
Traps fire deadly projectiles and are triggered by trap tiles of the corresponding color.
- Traps are triggered when an explorer steps off of a trap tile, not when they step onto it
- A trap tile will trigger all traps of the corresponding color, after which they are disabled
- Raised platforms can block trap projectiles
Guardians (skeletons/wraiths)
Guardians are lured forward by the movement of explorers and will attack when they get close enough.
- Guardians are lured forward if an explorer kończy się a move within their line of sight (This is relevant for movement involving spring tiles)
- Guardians will not be lured if their line of sight is blocked by: another guardian, a raised platform, or a non-moving explorer
- Guardians will either move Lub attack when they are lured by an explorer, not both (Explorers may end up directly in front of guardians without meeting an untimely end)
Raised platforms
Raised platforms can be lowered by explorers stepping onto switch tiles of the corresponding color.
- Platforms can be raised with a character (explorer or guardian) on top of it
- Characters can move to adjacent platforms at the same level of height
- Characters cannot simply jump off of a raised platform
- Guardians will not be lured by an explorer moving at a different level of height
Action execution order
Player movement in Treasure Temples happens on a step-by-step basis. Think of it as a board game. Every time the player moves, other parts of the environment will react to that movement in a fixed order. You can find the execution order below:
Spring tiles will launch the player forward before traps are fired and traps will fire before enemies can move or attack. The image below illustrates why knowing this might prove useful.
Stepping in front of this wraith may look dangerous, but since traps will fire before enemies can react, this is actually perfectly safe!
It may also be useful to know that lowered platforms will start to go back up as soon as an explorer starts to leave the (ostatni) switch holding them down, meaning it is impossible to step from that switch onto a lowered platform that is right next to it.
