As great as this game’s tutorial is, it leaves out a LOT of important info. This will include the crucial stuff to turn yourself from an annoying squadmate that holds the trio back to a competent team captain, ready to begin the trek to get your first set of wins!
Basic to Advanced Controls
- SUPER CLIMBING: Don’t waste time and energy by gripping onto walls as much! You can use momentum to throw yourself upward with each grip of a wall, allowing you to rise to high surfaces by climbing SIGNIFICANTLY faster! This will make is much easier to dodge shots and to get in position faster.
- FAST TOSS ITEMS: Teammate need a healing item or weapon that you don’t? Toss it to them by pulling up the inventory, pointing at the item(S) you want to drop, and hold the grip button until a red bar completes and the item drops! If your teammate fails to notice it, don’t forget to ping the item so they realize!
- SHARING AMMO OR MATERIALS: Your teammate needs sniper ammo and you don’t even HAVE a sniper rifle. Help a squadmate out and drop them some ammo! Otwórz swój ekwipunek, click on the backpack icon, then click on the icon of the ammo type that you don’t currently need or want. Each time you click on anything on this page, you drop only a portion of the item. If you wish to drop it all, you will have to click multiple times! Don’t forget to ping the ammo if your squaddie does not realize you dropped it.
BONUS TIP: If now is not the time for you to practise building, consider sharing your building materials with your teammates so that they can put it to better use than being stuck in your pocket. Drop it from the same menu you drop ammo! (Inventory Screen > Backpack Icon)
- FAST TRAVEL: You can climb literally any physical object or bit of terrain on the map. You can also literally glide at any nanosecond your feet aren’t on the ground, all you have to do is hold your arms out for the time you wish to keep gliding. You can cancel gliding and reactivate it in a split second, based on how fast you can move your arms from raised to lowered. Use this to your advantage to climb high, and fly far to make long distance travel much shorter of a time sink! Beat the storm grid like this!
Wskazówki dotyczące rozgrywki
- EFFICIENT SHIELD USAGE: Shield Soda cans and Shield Shakes can be picked up and saved for your or your teammates to use at a later point. Jednakże, Shield Canisters NIE MOŻE be picked up, even at max shields. If you have the choice between using a Shield Canister instead of portable shield items, ALWAYS use the canister first. You may be able to save some of your shield items this way for more important times when canisters may not be around. (Like in combat, during end-game circle, or when traversing areas already looted clean.)
- PROTECTING AND BOOSTING YOURSELF WITH BUILDING: Building materials can be your saviour if you carry enough on you. If you’re caught out on the ground with no cover and an enemy begins firing, you can use your materials to construct walls that will take multiple bullets to destroy. If they’re on the same elevation as you, you can walk backwards and place a few in a row so that there are multiple walls blocking the enemy’s attacks on you. If your opponent is on high ground, consider building a wall and a few horizontal tiles above to block shots or grenades from above. This construction can be used to buy yourself time to escape or rez teammates/heal yourself, reposition to somewhere strategically more powerful, to have cover to fire back, or as a quick way to get higher ground (considering you can climb up your buildings).
BONUS TIP: Build tall towers with building materials for an EXTREME advantage. Your team will always have high ground in combat and better vision of the surrounding area, and you can use the walls for cover. If things get too dangerous or the red storm grid is coming, you can even use the height advantage to glide to where you need by walking off and putting your arms out! First discuss or ping where you may want to land though. Leaving your teammates behind is bad etiquette!
- THE DEFIBRILLATOR: For such a powerful item, it’s a surprise it does not use up an inventory slot! You carry it all times, and charging it up by rubbing them together powers it up for a few seconds. W tym czasie, touching deceased teammate’s ghosts will instantly resurrect them with half health and a knife. You can resurrect as many teammates as you can reach during a charge period, so try and get your whole team in one charge!
- INVENTORY TIPS: Pinging anything you drop will make teammates more likely to notice it. You start with three inventory slots (one being used by a knife) and can get backpacks to expand it one slot at a time. Picking up an item whilst your inventory is full will drop your currently held/last held item. Building materials, the defibrillator kit, amunicja, and Shield Canisters (since they cannot be carried) do not take up inventory slots in your backpack.
