A guide containing brief explanations for each weapon and how you should prioritize each weapon. Also contains other information including melee techniques / stamina conservation that can help you out in-game.
Wprowadzenie
There are a large variety of melee weapons in No More Room In Hell, and it’s pretty unclear on which to use, especially if you’re new.. A pattern I see in new players is that they will typically go for the heaviest weapons (FUBAR or sledge) and end up dying when they
run out of stamina, or they will go with any weapon they find (cleaver or bat) and end up getting overwhelmed by zombies because they can’t kill them fast enough. Don’t make these mistakes.
Stamina plays a big role in this game and controls whether or not you can do most life-saving activities. You can still shoot when you are out of stamina, ale ty can’t shove, can’t attack, can’t jump, I can’t run.
Stamina is pretty important. How can you save it? Dobrze, it costs stamina to: use your melee, shove, skok, and run (all of the things you can’t do when you are out of stamina, self explanatory) so it’s best to walk most of the time, don’t bhop (you will run out of stamina pretty fast), and shove zombies away instead of killing them if possible. Również, your walking speed increases the more stamina you have!
If all goes to hell, and you have a FUBAR / Sledge / Kilof (any heavy weapon), you can do heavy attacks without losing stamina! Hold left click until you see the charged attack animation start to play, and then let go instantly. Your attack will continue but you wont lose any stamina. Not recommended with lighter weapons because you wont kill the zombies in one hit and eventually get overwhelmed.
You can regain your stamina faster by standing still and / or by crouching (you can move too). Jednakże, keep in mind that these WILL stack,
and you will regain EVEN MORE stamina by crouching and standing still.
Killing zombies costs a lot of stamina, so it’s best to
not kill every zombie you see (crazy right? ZOMBIES RESPAWN). Przez większość czasu,
you can just walk past 90% of the zombies you seeand use that saved time to focus on the objective and complete the level!
Zombies have really bad movement. Every ~7 seconds they will look at your position and then move that way constantly. This lets you fake them out by going one direction, waiting for them to start walking your way, and then run around the other side of the zombie. Bądź ostrożny, Jednakże, as doing this is still risky and you may get grabbed. Ale poczekaj!
You can shove them awayand continue on your way STILL without wasting your time killing any zombies. Również, each zombie’s animation has their own movement speed! I won’t attach any images as a guide, but as you play, you will begin to notice which ones to watch out for. Ciekawostka: Jest tylko 1 walker zombie faster than the crawler, and it’s only by 1 jednostka, making the crawler pretty much the fastest non-runner / child zombie! Ale… it also dies to one headshot from the FISTS, Więc, not that much of a threat.
You can shove TWICE in a very short time frame, incase you shove the zombie grabbing you and are about to get slapped by a shambler or runner! Simply shove while holding an item, holster, and then shove again with your hands. This does drain your stamina quickly, chociaż, so don’t go shoving the entire horde.
No More Room In Hell’s zombies do not have animation blending, meaning they wont be able to do the running animation AND the attack animation at the same time. How is this important? Dobrze, this makes it so that as long as you are moving in the opposite direction, runners/children behind you will NOT be able to attack you whatsoever (just don’t stop moving). While this does make the game seem like it isn’t hard at all, keep in mind that as soon as you stop moving that entire crowd of runners behind you will destroy you instantly!
ALWAYS be sure to shove after attacking a zombie with your melee weapon! It completely negates the chance of them biting you as they will be stunned for a few seconds.
Your movement speed (the speed of both walking and running) is dependent on how much of your inventory space is taken by items. Jednakże, this is only checked at your inventory space being below 50% lub poniżej 100%. Your movement speed will be the same at 0% inventory space taken as 49%, and it will be the same at 99% inventory space taken as 50%. The key idea you want to take away from this is NEVER have your inventory 100% pełny. Jeśli to zrobisz, drop something like 1 bullet (anything that can reduce your taken inventory space AT ALL), and you will gain a whole lot more movement speed.
Melee Tiers 1
Here is a tier-list of all the melee weapons in the game. Keep in mind that these are ranked based on personal experience, but reasons will be provided on why the weapons are ranked this way.
Keep in mind that the list is NOT organized based on position, only category!
These are the most ideal melee weapons you should be carrying around. They will help you in pretty much every situation and don’t have that many downsides. If you find one of these in-game, be sure to prioritize having it over other weapons.
MaczetaThe Machete is agreed upon to be the best melee weapon in the game. It takes 2 light/heavy headshots to kill, and one shots kids. The machete takes up only a little more space than the hatchet (also has very little), has a fast horizontal swing, and a fast shove! Without a doubt this is the most well-rounded melee weapon you can have and it’s always a good thing to find one. Even though the pickaxe outperforms it in killing shamblers, it still holds up well on its own. All-in-one weapon. Shines against runners and kids.
KilofThe Pickaxe is the best heavy weapon in terms of usability. It takes up the least inventory space compared to the sledgehammer and FUBAR (not counting fire-axe because it doesn’t one shot), but still takes up the amount of inventory space you would expect a heavy weapon to take. The Pickaxe has a fast horizontal swing, slightly delayed shove, and one shots to the head with light attacks. The stamina free heavy attack glitch is most useful with this weapon as it has a fast heavy attack, zbyt! Takes priority over machete when lagging, as it ensures a one-hit kill. Best crowd clearer.
Hatchet[/B]
The Hatchet is essentially a shorter machete. It takes up even less inventory space (around that of a medkit), has a fast horizontal swing, and takes two light/heavy headshots to kill (one shots kids too), and has a fast shove. The only downside to this melee is its shorter range but that can be accounted for by practicing good spacing. Skill-activated machete, pretty much. Best for runners / dzieci.
Abrasive Saw( Right click to start the engine )
The Abrasive Saw, as scary as the thought of needing fuel to use is, isn’t bad at all. It’s very fuel-efficient, much more than the chainsaw, and even a small amount of fuel can last you a while. It’s an essential weapon for holding down anything from runners, such as the ending of nmo_suzhou. Be sure to hold onto this if you find one. Również, you can SPRINT while using it! Zgadza się, this thing basically turns you into a TRAIN, nothing can get in your way! The only downsides to this weapon is fuel being somewhat rare and the saw being completely useless when you have no fuel. Situationally outperforms everything.
In this category, there will be weapons that are effective on their own but still have less priority than the ones in Most Ideal and are replaceable. If you are stuck with one of these weapons, you are by no means at a risk of being overwhelmed.
Rura ołowianaThis is the best weapon in this category as it’s basically a more clunky machete. One of the reasons it’s here instead of in most ideal is because of the high amount of space it takes up in your inventory. It also drains your stamina a bit faster than the machete or hatchet. Poza tym, the pipe takes 2 headshots to kill, 1 for kids, has a good horizontal swing, i a
fast shove. Its fast shove is what makes it much better than the crowbar. The pipe also has slightly less stamina cost than the crowbar. Well-rounded weapon.
ŁomI have mixed feelings about the crowbar. It takes 2 headshots to kill, 1 for kids, and takes the same space as the pipe. This makes it seem like a good weapon, Jednakże, it has some drawbacks. The crowbar has a slightly delayed shove which can cause you to get bit at times (it has gotten me bit plenty of times) and it also has a somewhat diagonal attack which can sometimes make your attacks hit bodyshots / miss the zombies entirely. You can easily solve the delayed shove problem and even turn the charged attacks into horizontal (slightly diagonal) attacks by holding a flashlight alongside it, chociaż. The crowbar also has slightly more stamina cost compared to the pipe. Even though it has some downsides, this is still a much better weapon than most melees.
SledgehammerThe sledgehammer is a good crowd clearer, but it’s outclassed by the pickaxe. Like any other heavy weapon, it has a good horizontal swing that can hit multiple enemies, and a slightly delayed shove. The sledge takes slightly more inventory space and stamina to use compared to the pickaxe, making it easily replaceable. Nadal, if you are in a safe area you can get away with clearing 3-4 zombies in one swing even with the higher stamina cost. Downgraded pickaxe.
Piła łańcuchowaLike the abrasive saw, the Chainsaw is very similar. Jednakże, its fuel consumption rate is much higher than the abrasive saw and should be used conservatively. It also takes up a little more inventory space. One of its upsides compared to the abrasive saw is that it kills zombies in one less hit. Thats pretty much it. Downgraded abrasive saw.
Weapons that have around 50/50 downsides as upsides will be here. Mediocre level weapons. Some have low damage, some are just outright annoying to use.
ŁopataThe shovel functions effectively as a weapon, but it has some big downsides. Let’s start with the upsides. Shovels kill in 2 strzały w głowę, kids in 1, and have a good horizontal swing. Jednakże, it takes a massive portion of your inventory even though it’s not a heavy weapon (only a little less than the pickaxe) and costs more stamina to use compared to the crowbar. It even has a delayed shove, and on top of all that, the player uses the shovel in the most stupid looking way (you’ll see what I mean when you use it). “It works.”
Fire axeThe fire axe is really good at killing 1 zombie at a time with charged attacks repeatedly. To wszystko. It’s a one trick pony. It can only kill in 2 light headshots, but takes the same amount of space as a heavy weapon. It also has the third highest stamina cost in the game!! I would say this is a pretty good weapon for survival seeing as how its one trick would be good at blocking hordes from pushing a single path, but I don’t see it being useful anywhere else. Situational weapon with one effective use.
WelderThe Welder, surprisingly enough, can actually serve as a decent melee weapon. It takes 4 light headshots to kill, has a vertical attack,
and attacks as fast as the fists. Jednakże, its stamina cost is slightly higher than the fists, has pretty short range, I
CAN’T ONE SHOT KIDS. Nadal, not that bad of a weapon.
Melee Tiers 2
FUBARThe FUBAR is horrendous in terms of stamina cost and inventory space taken. It has the highest stamina cost to use in the game and the third highest inventory space taken (beat by the saws). This weapon is slow EVERYTHING. The shove is SLOW, the charged attack animation is SLOW, Jednakże, if this is your last resort, this thing can wipe out several zombies in one swing at the cost of ALL your stamina. You can also use the no stamina-cost glitch with the charged attack but the slow charged animation might cause you to be overwhelmed. Pretty good last-resort weapon.
Barricade HammerThe Barricade Hammer is actually surprisingly good in terms of attacking ability. Można 2 shot with charged attacks to the head, 3 with light attacks. This is much better than it sounds because this thing attacks pretty fast due to its size. I’m honestly surprised at the amount of people that I see using this weapon (0). It takes up the same amount of inventory space as the hatchet, and has the same shove speed as the FISTS!! Really good last-resort weapon.
NietoperzThe Bat has the same stamina cost and inventory space taken as the lead pipe, and a good horizontal swing as well (you need to look down a bit, chociaż). Jednakże, it has a delayed shove, i najważniejsze: 3 light attack headshots to kill. This makes it very easily replaceable by other weapons, Ale, as this category suggests, it’s a last resort, I 1 more headshot than usual isn’t a big price if it saves your life. Just a downgraded pipe with 1 more hit required to kill.
KluczThe Wrench takes up barely any inventory space and has the same stamina cost as the fists. It attacks very fast horizontally, has a short range, and kills in 3 strzały w głowę. Not a bad last resort weapon and it is an extremely common weapon to find.
TasakThe cleaver has exactly the same stats as the wrench. Also not a bad last resort weapon as it is also extremely common to find.
Fire ExtinguisherThe Extinguisher acts as a downgraded version of the welder, taking up 5x more inventory space and costing a little more stamina, but still takes 4 headshots to kill and attacks at the same speed. It can kill in 2 headshots if you use charged attacks. Severely downgraded welder.
Kitchen KnifeThe kitchen knife has the same stamina cost as the fists, has a very short range, and a horizontal attack. 4 light headshots to kill. Don’t use this. Headshotting a zombie 4 times is plenty of time for more zombies to get to your location and crowd at a door / block a hallway.
MAGLITE OF DOOMDon’t pick this up if you have a single thought about trying to kill a zombie with it. Using it alongside other melees? Jasne. But this thing absolutely SUCKS when trying to kill something. It takes 9 light headshots to kill, but keep in mind that this thing has a vertical attack, barely any range, and a delayed shove. I deeply apologize to anyone trying to get the 500 kills with maglite achievement, it will be a long journey. Stay away.
E-ToolI swear this thing was designed just to annoy the hell out of you. It has delayed shoves, barely any range, and barely any damage. Its regular form’s light attack
forces you to look down just to hit something with a diagonal swing!! Nie tylko to, it will take THREE HITS of looking down and attacking. Ridiculous. Let’s say you want that damage bonus by folding it. You fold it. Try to attack something? YOU NEED TO BE PRACTICALLY STANDING INSIDE THE ZOMBIE TO HIT THEM. Never use this weapon. I’ve died more times using this than I have killed zombies successfully while it was folded. (Not actually, but that’s how it feels.) Please save your sanity and avoid this
trash.
Fists
The fists are unbelievably good. You may think this is a joke, but it’s not. They are basically an abrasive saw that deals knockback instead of damage. You can sit in a doorway and just spam punch the zombies and NONE of them will get by because you are knocking them back so much.
Don’t forget you can use the fists! The fists have the fastest shove in the game. This means that swapping to your fists and then shoving will shove the zombie away from you faster, and more often than not prevent the zombie from biting you.
Never underestimate the fists! They can do a lot for you, especially when playing passive. When you are low on stamina, you can even just punch the zombies and hope to get a (very likely) knockback instead of using the rest of your stamina on a shove.
Building on top of the double-shove technique mentioned in the intro, you can purposefully place a consumable (bandaż, leki, pills) to your “last weapon held” klawisz (Domyślny: q) and be able to do as many double-shoves as you’d like with
two instant shove items! This negates the slight shove delay that most weapons will have when you use the Holster key (Domyślny: H) Zamiast.
WAŻNY:
ALWAYS break wooden boards / zamki (if breakable) / ściany (on custom maps) with your FISTS!!! The fists have the lowest stamina costs, a very fast attack, I
will hit where you aim, unlike most weapons. This makes them perfect for completing these objects quickly!
Ranged Tiers 1
When sorting these guns into tiers, I assumed the same for all of them:
Can kill something
Takes a while to reload
Has a delayed shove
Consider these for each weapon below.
CZ-858The CZ-858 is one of the 4 most ideal guns because of its magazine clip size of 30, one headshot for one kill ratio, fast reload, and ammo that can be stolen from the SKS. The CZ can be used to clear hordes of zombies quickly by spamming with its big clip size or can be used to take them out one by one with its good accuracy and ironsights. The M16A4 and the CZ take the same amount of inventory space (that of a sledgehammer) and have the same magazine size, so it’s hard to decide which one is better. One of the most ideal guns to have. Magdumps save your life!
M16A4The M16A4 is basically the CZ-858’s counterpart, taking up the same inventory space (that of a sledgehammer), having the same magazine size, and same fire rate. The M16A4, Jednakże, has a variant: M16A4 carryhandle. The carryhandle variant is just the same gun without a scope, making it somewhat easier to use as it’s hard to hit a zombie infront of you with a seemingly 8x scope. I would say that the M16A4 should be prioritized more as I tend to find its ammo more common than the CZ’s. One of the most ideal guns to have. Magdumps save your life!
Colt 1911I was debating whether or not to put the Colt as one of the most desirable weapons, and decided that I should. The colt is basically the machete of guns. Given that all guns should at least 1 Lub 2 strzał, the Colt 1-shotting to the head isn’t something to take note of. JEDNAKŻE, it’s a pistol! Taking up this little inventory space AND 1-shotting without focus shots is something you don’t see in any other gun. .45 APC (the ammo the Colt uses) is very common to find and is pretty much guaranteed to be found in any map, so you wont have to worry about running out of ammo for it. The only downside for the Colt is that it has a short mag size of 7 rundy. 7 rounds is plenty to get you out of a tough situation, and if you need more than 7 rundy, you would most likely be dead anyway. Versatile gun that is only limited by its small magazine size but is greatly redeemed by its 1-shot headshots and taking up the same amount of inventory as the Hatchet.
Winchester Super X3The Winchester Super X3 is a shotgun that holds 5+1 12 gauge rounds and can be fired the max amount of times in a row with no cooldown without having to reload. This makes it VERY good at saving you from tough situations like being grabbed infront of many runners or being cornered. This is THE crowd clearer.
It’s a shotgun you can shoot 6 times semi-automatically without having to pump, which really helps when you are playing passive and need to quickly kill a shambler in your way or even a crowd in your way. Amazing crowd clearer & lifesaver.
Ingram Mac-10The Ingram Mac-10 is like both the M16A4 and CZ858, but with a bit less inventory space taken and the fact that it’s locked at max firing speed. This is what brought it down to only “Effective”. Most of the time when trying to kill one zombie, you will waste 1 Lub 2 (.45 AKP) bullets because of how fast this thing shoots. When using it on crowds, zbyt, you will waste a lot of ammo just because it shoots so fast. Jednakże, this is still a solid weapon and can one-shot headshot with each of its 30 rundy.
Remingtona 870The Remington 870 is a shotgun that holds 8+1 12 gauge shells. You need to pump the shotgun after each shot, which is what brought it down to “Effective”, but it is still an extremely good weapon. You can clear 2 lub nawet 3 zombies with each shot consistently if aimed right. It takes a little less space than a sledgehamemer, but that’s expected for a shotgun. The Remington 870 is a solid choice for a gun and can even replace the Winchester Super X3 if you are just looking to clear crowds. Jednakże, it will struggle to save you if grabbed by runners because you will have to wait to pump the shotgun after shooting your first shot. Don’t miss!
Mossberg 500aThe Mossberg 500a is just a downgraded version of the Remington 870. It takes the exact same weight, acts as a pump shotgun, but it only has the space for 5+1 12 gauge shells instead of the Remington’s 8+1. Always take the Remington over this, but if you can’t find one, the Mossberg shares all the same benefits as the Remington: 2 Lub 3 zombies can be killed with each shot consistently if aimed right & takes up a little less space compared to the sledgehammer. Still a solid choice, but at its core is just a downgraded Remington.
FN FALOto jest! The FN FAL. It’s a semi-automatic rifle with 20 .308 bullets in its magazine, each one one-shots to the head. You can steal ammo from the snipers and use it with this weapon. The FAL is a good overall weapon, but has a couple downsides, mainly being the slow reload and a little by the fact that it takes up more space than a sledgehammer. Other than its slow reload, the FAL wont struggle to save you when you are cornered / grabbed by runners as you can easily spray with it. A pretty good weapon with a very slow reload. It’s not the best, but I like it.
Simonov SKSThe Simonov SKS is a semi-automatic rifle that can only hold 10 7.62x39mm bullets in its magazine at a time. It also has a variant with a usable bayonet, which some people really like. Even though 10 bullets per magazine doesn’t sound like much, it’s plenty for a majority of the situations you’ll be in. It is good at both eliminating singular targets and saving you from being grabbed by runners as it’s still accurate when spamming shots. A good weapon, but there are better options.
Ranged Tiers 2
Winchester 1892Not to be confused with the Winchester Super X3, the Winchester 1892 is a lever-action rifle that plays an animation after every shot due to the nature of how lever-action rifles work. The Winchester is very good at eliminating single targets quickly, I, with its large magazine size, does an even better job at this. Jednakże, its ability to save you from being cornered by runners or grabbed by runners is very poor as well as it’s SUPER long reload time (depending on how much ammo you need to reload). You will have a very hard time escaping a runner grabbing you with this weapon, Jak, even if you don’t miss your first shot, you have to wait for the post-firing animation to finish before you can shoot again. It’s still a good weapon, but just have a plan for when you get pinned down.
MP5A4The MP5A4 is an upgraded Glock / Beretta as it has a 30+1 magazine of 9mm bullets and needs 2 headshots to kill. It takes the same amount of inventory space as the shovel. Its requirement of 2 shots per kill really brings it down, but is still kept at some value because of its large magazine. With the MP5A4’s large magazine comes an optional automatic firing mode, zbyt, and this can really help in tough situations. The automatic firing mode just ends up wasting your ammo half the time, chociaż, więc używaj go mądrze. This gun can sometimes even be considered worse than the pistols because of its lack of ability to do a focus shot, but I’m putting it here because it’s better at saving you from being grabbed by runners. Decent choice if you are playing passively, but it’s not very efficient at killing shamblers (15 kills per magazine but that costs 30 bullets!). The Glock 17 and Beretta can also kill more zombies per magazine IF AND ONLY IF you do a focus shot with each bullet (this would take a VERY long time, chociaż).
Ruger 10/22 Takedown WITH EXTENDED MAGAZINEThe Ruger 10/22 Takedown with Extended Magazine (NOT to be confused with the Ruger Mark III OR the default Ruger 10/22 Takedown) has an ammo capacity of 25+1 .22 bullets. It takes two headshots to kill, meaning you are, najwyżej, going to get 13 kills per magazine! This is much better than the pistols but still worse than the MP5A4 (can kill 15). It takes up a little less inventory space compared to the MP5A4, chociaż. Pretty good choice of a weapon as you can spray runners easily but much harder to find as its default variant is more common.
JAE-700The JAE-700 is a direct upgrade to the Sako, taking up the same amount of inventory space (that of a sledgehammer), but instead of having 5+1 .308 bullets (like the Sako) tak 10+1 bullets in its magazine. This makes it much easier to use as you arent spending 7 seconds reloading after shooting 5 strzały. It is highly recommended to animation cancel with this gun, holstering and instantly unholstering after every shot to save time. This weapon is REALLY good at clearing shamblers as it can pierce through zombies, getting you 2-3 kills per bullet! Its BIGGEST downside is the fact that it is terribly inaccurate when hip-firing, and you wont have much luck scoping in on a runner thats grabbing you. It’s still possible, Oczywiście, to hip-fire a zombie grabbing you with the JAE-700, but it’s very unreliable. Good crowd-clearing weapon but VERY bad at saving you from being grabbed.
Glock 17The Glock 17, like its name suggests, ma 17+1 9mm shots in its magazine. Its downfall is it’s two headshot per kill policy. With that in mind, you are only going to get 8 / 9 kills per magazine with this gun. Jednakże, if you do a focus shot with each bullet, możesz dostać 1 bullet per kill and kill even more zombies per mag compared to the MP5A4! You can reliably save yourself by spraying with the Glock 17 because it can still one shot headshot runners & dzieci. A good choice but is just a downgrade compared to the MP5A4. It also takes up a kitchen knife’s worth more space of inventory compared to all the other pistols, but has the fastest reload out of all of them (3 towary drugiej jakości) (tied with Beretta).
Beretta M92FSThe Beretta M92FS is nothing special. It’s a downgraded version of the Glock 17 as it has a magazine size of 15+1 9mm bullets and takes two headshots to kill. Still not a bad weapon at saving you from being grabbed and can still clear shamblers using focus fire, but it’s a downgrade of two different guns (the Glock 17 and MP5A4). A couple of its upsides are that it has the fastest pistol reload (3 towary drugiej jakości, tied with Glock 17) and takes up the same amount of inventory space as the hatchet. Very replaceable weapon, but can still hold its own.
Ranged Tiers 3
Ruger Mark IIIThe Ruger Mark III is the best weapon in this category because of its ability to do focus shots. Focus shots allow you to kill one zombie per bullet with its 10+1 magazine of .22 bullets, which isn’t much when compared to other weapons but that’s why it’s in this category anyway (Ostatnia). Weighs as much as a hatchet like any other pistol. You are somewhat able to spray zombies grabbing you but if there are 4-5 runners right next to you it will be VERY hard to save yourself (even harder if it’s a mix of kids and runners). Not THAT bad but other guns can replace it way too easily.
Smith & Wenson 686The S&W 686 can be good sometimes because of its ability to one-shot headshot AND pierce through zombies like a sniper rifle, but it is just way too… clunky. If you aim down sights and shoot with this thing, your character will pull back the hammer seemingly as SLOWLY AS POSSIBLE before pulling it back up to aim. This problem isn’t present when hip-firing though, but it’s still sub-par because it can only hold 6 .308 bullets in its “magazine”. When trying to save yourself from being grabbed you are pretty much guaranteed to be bit if you miss your first shot just because it shoots so slowly. Definitely a last resort weapon that can be replaced by basically anything else, recommended only for collateral shots against shamblers.
Beretta Perennia SV10The SV10 is a semi-automatic shotgun that weighs a tiny bit less than a pickaxe. It has an astounding TWO SHOTS per “magazine” and takes SEVEN SECONDS TO RELOAD. Definitely not a very reliable gun, but it is able to kill multiple zombies in one shot like the other shotguns. Missing your shots on the runners grabbing you is certain death, but if you don’t miss, you can easily wipe out nearly all of them (if they’re lined up, which is probable). Has better use when playing passively and you need to kill the runners behind you. Poza tym, it’s really bad at clearing shamblers (even though it has piercing shots) because of its insanely low ammo capacity and high reload times. Risky weapon to use.
Ruger 10/22 Takedown WITHOUT EXTENDED MAGAZINEThe Ruger 10/22 Takedown without extended magazine has the same exact ammo capacity (10+1 shots of .22) as the Ruger Mark III, but doesn’t have its most important feature: the ability to do focus shots. This means that you will, najwyżej, zabić 5 shamblers in one magazine (2 headshots per kill), unlike the Ruger Mark III’s potential for 11 kills with one magazine. Nie tylko to, but it weighs (a little less than) a machete’s worth MORE than the Ruger Mark III for no upside at all. It still works but you are at a severe disadvantage compared to using other guns.
Sako 85The Sako 85 is a directly downgraded version of the JAE-700, with an ammo capacity of 5+1 .308 bullets and taking up the same inventory space as a FUBAR. The JAE-700 is only good at clearing groups of shamblers, and the Sako makes its one good feature HALF AS GOOD. It keeps the JAE-700’s very poor ability in hip-firing as well, so you do would not have very good chances when being grabbed. If you are anywhere near runners I would not recommended pulling this out and instead just using a melee weapon.
Pistolet FlarowyYou aren’t really supposed to use the flare gun as a weapon… ale możesz. It does a very small area attack where the flare lands and sets all nearby zombies on fire, instantly killing the ones closest to the point of impact. Here’s why this gun is rated so low: It deals A LOT of damage to you if you shoot something too close to you (such as a runner grabbing you). A very risky to use “broń” but it can still kill stuff if you are careful with it. Most useful in survival mode where you can call in supply drops by shooting it at the sky.
DO NOT USE THE BOW!!!!!!!Poza tym, there aren’t any! All guns can kill ATLEAST a couple zombies within one second,
so there’s no guns you should avoid. The guns at the bottom of the tier list are just very bad compared to other guns, but not bad to the point they’re unusable.
Amunicja
Here is a list of all the ammo in the game and what they look like. There will also be a list of guns that each one is used for, how common it is to find, and how useful it is. Not sorted into tiers because that would be silly only carrying around a couple ammo types for guns you don’t even have.
9mm9mm ammo is used for the Glock-17, the Beretta M92FS, and the MP5A4. It’s pretty common throughout the official maps but I don’t really see much of it in supply drops. Needs two shots to kill which greatly reduces its ammo cost-efficiency.
.45 AKP.45 ACP ammo is used for the Colt 1911 and the Ingram Mac-10. It’s common to find, just like 9mm ammo, but it has much more ammo cost-efficiency because of the fact that it needs only 1 headshot to kill.
.357 Magnum.357 Magnum ammo is used for the Smith & Wesson 686 and the Winchester 1892. It has high ammo cost-efficiency because of its one shot kill ability, but the guns that this ammo is used by are typically very clunky and slow. I feel like this ammo is less common than the 9mm ammo, but it’s ultimately map dependent.
.22 LR.22 LR ammo is used for the Ruger Mark III and the Ruger 10/22 Takedown. It has the same killing power as the 9mm ammo and takes two headshots to kill one shambler. This ammo is pretty common and is typically found as often as the 9mm.
5.56mmx45 NATOThe 5.56mmx45 (I’ll just call it rifle / m16 ammo) isn’t too common throughout the official maps BUT it can be found in mass amounts in secret areas (such as the club key room in nmo_shelter) or guaranteed M16 spawns on the floor (like near the end of nmo_fema). It’s used for the M16A4 and variants (scoped) tylko. One bullet will get you one kill if you headshot.
7.62x39mm SovietThe 7.62x39mm is used for the CZ858 and the Simonov SKS. Ignore the bullet-hole in the picture, I accidentally punched it before taking the screenshot. The 7.62x39mm (I’ll just call it CZ ammo) like the m16 ammo, isn’t too common. I don’t recall any secret areas with this type of ammo either. The CZ ammo is most common in supply drops, and I feel like it’s in there around 70% tamtego czasu. One headshot per kill.
.308 WinchesterThe .308 Winchester is used for the JAE-700, Sako 85, and the FN FAL. I find this ammo often in supply drops but at a little less common frequency compared to the CZ ammo. I would say that this has more ammo cost-efficiency than most guns because all of the guns that use this ammo can kill multiple shamblers in one shot. Valuable ammo when it’s given value on how many zombies it can kill per shot.
12 Gauge12 Gauge is shotgun ammo used for all the shotguns (Remingtona 870, Winchester Super X3, Mossberg 500a, and Beretta Perennia SV10). It can kill multiple zombies per bullet. The frequency you will find this ammo is entirely map dependent and you can either find TONS of it (maps like nmo_chinatown) or close to none. Good ammo cost-efficiency, close to that of the .308 Winchester ammo.
FlaryFlares are only used for the flare gun and basically
only have use in survival mode. If you find this in an objective map, it’s recommended you just throw it away because flare guns are rare and highly replaceable.
PaliwoFuel is used as ammo for the Chainsaw and the Abrasive saw. It doesn’t have very much ammo cost-efficiency but it’s found in very high amounts in areas that it spawns. Best used with the abrasive saw if you want the maximum effect with the amount you have. Not too common to find but on maps like nmo_suzhou and nmo_shelter it’s absolutely essential you have it in preparation for the holdout. Can also often be found in supply drops in high quantities.
Wniosek
Więc, what should you take away from this guide?
- Objective is more important than killing zombies
- Zombie’ movement speeds depend on their animations
- Double-shove technique
- How to regain stamina quicker
- No stamina costs on charged attacks technique
- Keep inventory under 100% at all times
- Light-weight melees to deal with runners / dzieci
- Heavy melees to deal with shamblers
- Prioritize weapons according to the tier-list
- Don’t underestimate the Fists
- NEVER use the mentioned should-be-avoided melees
- Low tier guns are still better at saving you from tight situations than top tier melees, but melees will always last you longer
And ALWAYS use the gun you have the most ammo for! The guns tier-list is only if you have an option.
