This guide will show you some of the most important things about the survivor and killer buffs in Martwy w świetle dziennym. It’s for players who are just starting or play the game casually. There’s also some info to help those who want to get better.
Don’t worry if there are big parts to read! I often split the info into smaller pieces. This makes it simpler to read. The paragraphs are also easy to understand, especially for those learning the game.
When I make lists, it might make the sections seem longer.
Wytrzymałość
Endurance is a super strong buff for Survivors in the game. It’s really common and super important for your game strategy.
When Survivors have Endurance, they can’t be put into the Dying State. If they’re at full health and get attacked while Exposed, they go into Deep Wound. If they’re Injured, attacks will also put them into Deep Wound.
The catch is, they have to Mend afterward. But not getting knocked down is totally worth it. Endurance can make a chase last much longer because the Survivor gets a movement bonus when hit.
When you’re unhooked, you always get Endurance for a short time.
Here are some sources of Endurance and extra info:
- Martwe twarde (Dawid Król), Buckle Up (Ash Williams), Soul Guard (Heather Mason), and We’re Gonna Live Forever (Dawid Król) all give Endurance as new sources.
- Pożyczony czas (Billa Overbecka) dodaje 10 seconds to the Haste and Endurance after being unhooked.
- Off the Record (Zarina Kassir) extends Endurance to 80 towary drugiej jakości, but only if you don’t do a Conspicuous Action.
- Using Styptic Agent with a Med-Kit gives Endurance for 5 towary drugiej jakości.
Killer Endurance
In the Twisted Masquerade Anniversary events, Killers can get their own Endurance. This special Endurance helps them reduce Stuns by a lot.
Extra note on Conspicuous Action (Endurance/DS)
Conspicuous Action is a term for specific things Survivors can do. It matters only when you have the Endurance bonus.
If you do a Conspicuous Action, Endurance gets turned off.
This includes Endurance from being Unhooked or the really long 80 seconds from Off the Record. It also turns off Decisive Strike (Laurie Strode).
Here’s a list of Conspicuous Actions:
- Destroying (Cleansing) or Blessing a Totem
- Healing yourself or others (Others can heal you too)
- Repairing
- Sabotaging
- Unhooking other Survivors
- Opening the Exit Gates
If you think the Killer might attack you during your Endurance time, like when you’re being Unhooked, don’t try to quickly heal or fix a generator. The game thinks these actions aren’t things you’d do if the Killer was chasing you, and I agree!
Haste (Ocalali)
Haste is a buff that makes Survivors or Killers move faster. It’s simple, but there are lots of ways to get Haste, and it comes in different levels. We’ll look at Haste for Survivors and Haste for Killers separately.
Important points:
- Survivors move at 4.0m/s, and Killers at 4.6m/s. To jest 100% I 115% prędkość. Keep these numbers in mind.
- Dzisiaj, we won’t focus on things like Lunge speed or Bloodlust; just remember 100% for Survivors and 110-115% for Killers.
Notatka: Some perks mention different percentages, like Sprint Burst saying 150%, while others like Plot Twist say +50%. They’re the same thing.
Notatka 2: Not all perks are the same. Consider how long the perk lasts. Na przykład, Sprint Burst lasts 3 towary drugiej jakości, giving about 18m of movement. Smash Hit lasts 4 towary drugiej jakości, giving around 24m in theory.
Survivor Haste:
- 200%
- Background Player, 5S (mi)
- 150%
- Wybuch sprintu, 3S (mi)
- Lithe, 3S (mi)
- Balanced Landing, 3S (mi)
- Smash Hit, 4S (mi)
- Adrenalina, 5S (mi)
- Plot Twist, 4S
- 25% and Below
- Dramaturgy, 0.5-2S (mi) | Dramaturgy gives 0.5s boost, sometimes 2s.
- Babysitter/No One Left Behind, 17% for 10s (+7% to default unhook bonus)
- Being Unhooked, 10% for 10s
- 7% and Below
- Blood Pact, 7%
- Hope, 7%
- Breakout, 7%
- Praca zespołowa: Power of Two, 5%
- Made For This, 3%
- Dar: Dark Theory, 2%
Haste/Bloodlust (Zabójcy)
This part about Haste is for both Killers and the special buff Bloodlust. Bloodlust gives Haste but has its own icon for clarity. I’ll explain the mechanic and some other details.
Notatka: Killers can get Haste in various ways, like powers, add-ons, or perks. But they get smaller speed boosts compared to Survivors. That’s because they are already faster or have other advantages like mobility or no stagger when falling.
Notatka 2: Most killers move at 4.6m/s, some at 4.4m/s, and The Nurse at 3.85m/s without blinking. But all Killers go about the same speed when Lunging, aiming for 4.6m/s and accelerating to 6.9m/s in under a second.
Bloodlust Mechanic:
In a chase, even though Killers are naturally faster, they might struggle to catch Survivors. This could be due to a head start, tricky loops, mind-gaming, or a strong loop.
Aby pomóc, Po 15 towary drugiej jakości, a Killer gets 1 stack of Bloodlust. Po 10 more seconds, another stack, i o godz 35 towary drugiej jakości, it caps at 3 półki na książki. Each stack adds +5% prędkość ruchu.
You’ll know you got a stack when the screen blurs, and there’s a whooshing sound.
Bloodlust fades fast if the chase ends, like if the Survivor is out of sight or too far. All stacks disappear if you hit the Survivor or break a pallet.
Niewykrywalny
Undetectable is a special buff for Killers, and they can get it from a power, add-on, or perk. It’s quite common, ale zwykle, there are conditions, like limited use or needing to interact with Survivors.
It’s like the Survivor’s Oblivious debuff.
Quick reminder: Oblivious is for Survivors. Those with Oblivious can’t hear the Terror Radius, but they’re also immune to effects like Unnerving Presence inside the Terror Radius.
What does Undetectable do for Killers?
- The Killer has no Terror Radius for any Survivor (disables effects “inside terror radius”).
- The Killer has no Red Stain.
- The Killer’s aura can’t be read (like with Alert).
- If the Killer stands still, there’s no jumpscare noise when they move.
- It doesn’t silence Huntress or Nightmare lullabies.
- The sides of the screen have black fog.
Undetectable is often better than Oblivious because it blocks Aura reading. But there’s usually a catch. Many Undetectable sources are short-term, and those from powers like The Pig often have downsides.
Blessed/Perk Icons
Blessed is a way for Survivors to know they are near a Boon perk. But just having the Blessed status doesn’t tell you much—it depends on the specific Boon you’re close to.
Let’s talk about Boons in the game:
What is a Boon?
Tam są 5 perks called “Boons” w grze. They work like a Killer’s Hex perks and need to be applied to Totems. When a Survivor finds a Dull or Hexed totem, they can Bless it.
When a totem is Blessed, To:
- Creates a sound of rumbling thunder (different from the lightning strike when a Hex is broken).
- Reveals the Aura of the blessed totem to all Survivors.
- Forms a 24m radius of blue lights in the air (through floors).
- Produces a soft ringing sound.
- Turns the screen edges blue when you’re in the 24m range.
- Shows the Blessed buff.
- Displays the icons of the perks on the Boon.
A Boon can have multiple perks attached to it, including all the perks of the Survivor who Blessed it. Jednakże, only the person who Blessed it gets those perks. Other Survivors have to wait for the Killer to Snuff it or find a different Boon to apply their own perks.
Perk Icon Buffs (and Boons):
If you spot an icon like this next to your Perks, it signals that a Perk is boosting you. While it’s possible for a Killer to grant this ability, it often means another Survivor is assisting you.
Buff effects don’t always happen close to a Survivor; some perks like Empathic Projection or Aftercare have extremely long ranges. Co ważne, this icon is always displayed when you’re within a Boon’s range, indicating the benefits you’re getting.
Since there are only 5 Boons in the game at the moment, let’s go through each of them.
Krąg Uzdrowienia:
- Injured Survivors inside the radius reveal their Aura to other Survivors.
- Healing another Survivor without a medkit is 100% szybciej.
Krok Cienia:
- Survivors in the Boon’s radius leave no Scratch Marks.
- Their Aura can’t be revealed to the Killer.
- This bonus lasts for 4 seconds after leaving the radius.
Dark Theory:
- Survivors inside the Boon’s radius move 2% szybciej.
- The effect lasts for 4 seconds outside the radius.
Exponential:
- Survivors in the Boon’s radius recover from the Dying state 100% szybciej.
- They can self-revive to the Injured state without other perks.
Illumination:
- All Survivors in the radius see all Generators and Chests with Blue Auras on the map.
- The Survivor using the Boon can cleanse or bless other totems 10% faster if they have Illumination on a totem.
Progress Bars Notes
Whenever you perform an action faster than usual, you’ll notice the progress bar turns orange. This is always accompanied by a “fast-forward” icon featuring two triangles on an orange background.
Important points:
- When working with 2 or more Survivors on a Generator, the repair speed is technically slower. Each Survivor repairs less than 1 charge per second, but together, they still complete the Generator faster than 90 towary drugiej jakości.
- When two Survivors heal or mend another Survivor, the speed of healing is neither slower nor faster. While the healing speed is enhanced, it shows as Slowed if the Survivor is Mangled.
- The color of a progress bar is unique to individual Survivors. Na przykład, when healing someone with a med-kit, your progress bar will be orange because your healing speed is faster. Other Survivors will still have blue bars, or red if the victim is Mangled.
You only see progress bar colors based on your own action speed.
