This guide will show you how to unlock all achievements in Overpass, an automobile simulation video game developed by Zordix Racing. As of writing, the game features a total of 38 achievements on Steam.
General Notes
So, this game is quite different from other racing games. It’s not just about going fast; patience and careful driving are key here. Rushing through can lead to frustration, especially on tracks like hillclimbs. Pay attention during the tutorial to avoid pulling your hair out later. Mastery takes time; speedrunning isn’t likely. I’ll give tips to help you finish the game. This guide is similar to my Gravel guide; focus on Career mode for most achievements. Only a few, like “First Split,” “Reach Out,” and hot seat multiplayer, need other modes. I’ll explain those in their sections below.
OVERPASS Achievements Guide
Untouched
Finish a race and sustain less than 10% damage
Getting this achievement is quite straightforward if you select the appropriate vehicle and track.
To snag this achievement, opt for an open arena track and proceed at a leisurely pace to the finish line. Navigate obstacles with care, approach corners cautiously, and avoid any substantial collisions. Your objective is simply to complete the race without inflicting significant damage to your vehicle. With a bit of patience, this task shouldn’t pose much difficulty.
Flawless
Finish an obstacle course without any penalties
This achievement is a breeze to earn, likely coming your way early in the game if you’re aiming for achievements. No need to clinch victory; simply steer clear of cones and obstacles to secure it. Take your time; there’s no rush.
First Gold
Win your first Gold medal on a track
Beating the gold medal time in the designated event should bag you this achievement without much fuss. Opt for an obstacle course with a UTV, stick to tracks you’re comfortable with, and victory should be within reach.
Sweet Victory
Win your first Challenge
Winning any event in career mode seals the deal for this achievement. Lowering the difficulty can make things smoother, but the event type doesn’t matter; crossing the finish line first is all that counts.
All the way
Win your first hillclimb in Career mode
To nail this achievement, conquer any hillclimb, perhaps Critical Edge or Vertical Slope. No need for gold medals; just outpace the competition’s bot times. If you falter too much, don’t hesitate to restart for a fresh shot at victory.
Overcome the obstacles
Win your first obstacle course in Career mode
Simply progress through career mode to snag this achievement with minimal effort. Opting for amateur difficulty slows down rival times, making triumphing over them a walk in the park.
Duelist
Win a duel
Duels are exclusive to career mode and pit you against higher-ranking bots in a 1v1 showdown. As you accumulate victories, keep an eye out for these special events in your sponsorship offers. They’re manageable, especially on amateur difficulty.
On a roll
Win 3 challenges in a row in Career mode
Win three consecutive events in career mode to unlock this achievement. You don’t need to dominate every race; just secure victory in the overall challenges across three separate events.
Around the world
Play a race in each venue
You’ll naturally unlock this achievement during an achievement run, as you’ll traverse all maps for other achievements. If you’re solely targeting this one, participate in a quick race, ensuring you cover one race from each venue.
First split
Finish a split screen race
Utilize two Xbox controllers for this achievement. Pick a hillclimb you’re confident in, select your preferred vehicle (like the Polaris XP Turbo) for both players, and alternate between controlling each side. It doesn’t have a time limit, allowing you to essentially win the race twice.
First seat switch
Finish a hot seat race
Head to multiplayer and opt for a hot seat race to breeze through this achievement. In this mode, players take turns racing, with the fastest time determining the winner. As a single player, race twice consecutively with your chosen vehicles, ensuring completion of both races to unlock the achievement. Easy peasy.
Reach out
Finish an online race
If you’re flying solo on this one, it might pose a challenge. Grab a copy for a pal, or drop a comment on the guide, and I’ll hop in to lend a hand for anyone needing an extra player. Winning isn’t necessary, just finishing the race online will do.
Finalist
Qualify for the World Finals
This achievement is fairly straightforward, but if you’re finding it tough, ensure you’re playing career mode on the lowest difficulty (Amateur). Win enough races to keep near the top of the standings. Once the bar on the left side fills up (around 12 events), and you’re in the top half of the standings, you should snag this achievement and qualify for the world finals.
World Champion
Win the World Finals
This one’s a cinch. Simply secure first place in the World Finals in career mode. The World Finals consist of about 5 races in one event. You don’t need to win them all, just enough to lead the standings at the end. I ended up clinching the World Finals three times while chasing other achievements, so expect to do this several times over.
Famous
Earn your first reputation title
This achievement typically unlocks after winning a few races and gaining enough ‘rep’ to level up your reputation. It popped up for me after a few races as I pursued other achievements. Stick with career mode long enough, and you’ll likely nab this one.
Legend
Earn the highest reputation title
Expect this achievement to unlock as you tackle some of the tougher or time-consuming ones. Personally, I didn’t consider an event finished until I clinched first place, so it unlocked for me after winning the World Finals in my first season. If you keep winning events, you’ll likely snag this one before long.
Gold on The Pit
Win a Gold medal on all tracks in The Pit
Here’s the deal: beat the gold medal time for all tracks in The Pit venue. Focus primarily on career mode, aiming for gold on every map as you progress. This way, you’ll conquer most tracks while working on other achievements. If any tracks still elude you near the end, switch to quick races instead of career mode to tackle them. It’s the most efficient approach, at least in my experience.
Gold on Old Canyon
Win a Gold medal on all tracks in Old Canyon
Same as before, but now for the Old Canyon venue. Stick to career mode, aiming for gold on each map as you advance. Most tracks should fall in line as you work on other achievements. For any remaining tricky ones, switch to quick races to conquer them. It’s how I got it done, and likely your best bet too.
Gold on Jungle Ridge
Win a Gold medal on all tracks in Jungle Ridge
Rinse and repeat, but this time for the Jungle Ridge venue. Stick to career mode, strive for gold on all maps while grinding towards other achievements. For any stragglers, resort to quick races to tackle them. This method proved efficient for me, and it should for you too.
Gold on Adriatic Coast
Win a Gold medal on all tracks in Adriatic Coast
To complete this task, aim to beat the gold medal time for each track within the Adriatic Coast venue. My advice is to focus primarily on career mode, aiming for gold on every track as you progress. By doing so, you’ll naturally conquer most tracks while pursuing other achievements. If you find yourself struggling to achieve gold on any track near the end, opt for quick races instead of career mode to tackle those troublesome ones efficiently. That’s how I tackled it, and it worked well.
Gold on Northern Forest
Win a Gold medal on all tracks in Northern Forest
The objective here is straightforward: beat the gold medal time for all tracks in the Northern Forest venue. I recommend prioritizing career mode and striving for gold on each map as you advance. This approach allows you to conquer most tracks while working toward other achievements. If you encounter difficulty achieving gold on any track toward the end, switch to quick races instead of career mode to tackle those challenges swiftly. It’s the most efficient method, based on my experience.
Gold on Open Arena
Win a Gold medal on all tracks in Open Arena
Your task is to beat the gold medal time for all tracks within the Open Arena venue. I suggest focusing primarily on career mode and aiming for gold on every map as you progress. This strategy enables you to conquer most tracks while pursuing other achievements. If you encounter difficulty achieving gold on any track toward the end, switch to quick races instead of career mode to efficiently tackle those challenges. This approach worked well for me, and I believe it’s the most efficient way to accomplish this goal.
Time crusher
Win a Gold Medal on all tracks
The objective is clear: beat the gold medal time for all tracks in the game. My recommendation is to concentrate on career mode and strive for gold on every map as you progress. This approach ensures you’ll conquer most tracks while working toward other achievements. If you find it challenging to achieve gold on any track toward the end, switch to quick races instead of career mode to efficiently tackle those challenges. That’s how I approached it, and it proved to be effective.
Fix it yourself
Spend time repairing a vehicle yourself
Achieving this goal is simple. Just select an event and when it prompts you to choose a car, select one that you’ve used but not repaired since last use. You’ll be given options to use a repair pack, repair it yourself (which will cause you to miss the event but unlock the achievement), or send it for repair. Using repair packs instantly fixes your vehicle for the event. Opting to repair it yourself progresses time but unlocks the achievement. Choosing to send it for repair makes the vehicle unavailable until it’s fixed, but you can select a different vehicle for the event.
Fix up
Repair your vehicles for a total cost of $20000
This achievement should naturally unlock as you progress through an achievement run without much effort. Throughout the season, you’ll likely accumulate enough damage to necessitate repairs between races and events, making it relatively easy to reach the required repair cost of 20k. If you want to expedite the process, you could intentionally be tough on a vehicle during a race to increase repair costs more quickly, but I earned it during my achievement run without specifically focusing on it.
Master of all
Unlock everything in Career mode
Unlocking this achievement entails obtaining every livery, suit, helmet, gloves, engine, transmission, frame, and vehicle in the game. Since there’s a limited number of events you can complete in one season, it will likely take multiple seasons to achieve. You’ll need to successfully complete every event to claim the rewards, and while it’s uncertain if unlocking sponsorship items is necessary, I did so anyway. For this achievement, purchasing items isn’t required; simply completing events will unlock them.
Unlocked gear
Unlock all rider gear in Career mode
Expect this achievement to take around 2-3 career seasons to unlock. Once you’ve completed enough events to reach the world finals, you won’t be able to proceed with other events, necessitating the start of a new season. Focus on events that offer rider gear unlocks, indicated by green checks on the career map. Skip events where you’ve already obtained unlocks unless necessary to progress to connecting events. Purchasing gear isn’t necessary for this achievement; unlocking them by completing events suffices.
Full wardrobe
Own all rider gear in Career mode
This achievement is more demanding than the “unlocked gear” achievement as it requires purchasing every rider item, including helmets, suits, and gloves. However, it’s less daunting than vehicle-related achievements since it only involves items for one rider, not every vehicle. Completing this achievement entails purchasing all rider items to unlock it.
Driving Choice
Buy your first vehicle in Career mode
This achievement is straightforward. Simply purchase any vehicle in career mode, regardless of type, to unlock it. Since acquiring a vehicle is necessary for obtaining other achievements, it’s not a significant task and will likely be one of the earliest achievements you earn.
Full stock
Unlock all vehicles in Career mode
To unlock this achievement, expect to spend around 2-3 career seasons. Once you reach enough events to enter the world finals, you’ll be unable to continue with other events, necessitating the start of a new season. Focus on events that offer vehicle unlocks, indicated by green checks on the career map. Skip events where you’ve already obtained unlocks unless necessary to progress. Purchasing vehicles isn’t required for this achievement; unlocking them by completing events suffices.
Full Garage
Own all vehicles in Career mode
This achievement requires owning all vehicles in the game, including UTVs and ATVs. It may take a couple of seasons as you need to beat all events unlocking a vehicle, save money to afford them, and purchase them all. Ensure you buy all UTVs and ATVs to unlock this achievement, as unlocking them alone won’t suffice.
First upgrade
Install a vehicle upgrade
Easily attainable, this achievement can be obtained after one or two races, provided you complete races with unlocks on the career map, claim those unlocks, and equip the new items from the garage.
Tinker master
Install an upgrade of each type for a vehicle
This achievement may take longer than others as you must beat events unlocking engine, transmission, and frame upgrades before purchasing them. It may take around 2 seasons to unlock these upgrades. However, if you’re pursuing an achievement run, you’ll naturally unlock every necessary item along the way.
All equipped
Install an upgrade of each type for all vehicles
To unlock this achievement, you need to unlock at least one engine, transmission, and frame upgrade, as well as all vehicles. This process may take multiple seasons due to the limited number of events you can complete in one season. You must beat every vehicle event and enough events to unlock at least one upgrade for each type. Then, purchase at least one of each upgrade for every vehicle in the game and equip them. This can be costly and time-consuming.
Livery change
Change the livery of a vehicle in Career mode
This achievement is relatively easy. Simply earn enough money to purchase a paint job, then beat an event that unlocks a paint job. Once unlocked, buy the paint job in the garage and equip it. It’s a straightforward process that shouldn’t pose much difficulty.
All liveries
Own all liveries in Career mode
Similar to other achievements requiring ownership of all items of a certain type, this one involves beating events to unlock liveries before purchasing them. This process can be time-consuming, especially considering you must also unlock and own all vehicles before buying liveries for them. Once unlocked, you’ll need to purchase every livery for every vehicle, adding to the time investment required.
Own it all
Own everything in Career mode
To unlock this achievement, you must obtain and purchase every livery, suit, helmet, gloves, engine, transmission, frame, and vehicle in the game. Given the limited number of events you can complete in one season and the cost of purchasing each item for every vehicle and rider, expect this to take multiple seasons. You’ll need to beat every event, claim rewards, and proceed to purchase all available items for every vehicle and rider.
Achievement collector
Collect all other achievements
This achievement serves as the ultimate goal, requiring you to unlock every other achievement before unlocking it. As such, it will naturally be the last achievement you earn, marking the completion of your achievement journey.
