You can check the Standard of Living in your country by hovering over the grain icon in the top corner of the screen.

This will tell you about the number of citizens that are impoverished, secure or prosperous across different income levels of the population. It will also tell you about the average and current standard of living as well as the ranking of your country worldwide.

Improving the standard of living usually revolves around higher wages and you will need to start by improving them in the states where it is the worst.

Having better wages will allow your pops to have more money in their pocket after spending their salary on their needs.

To provide higher wages to workers, you will need to ensure that the buildings that employ them are profitable. You can only provide a better salary to someone when you have enough money and to do that, you need to earn more profits. Bijvoorbeeld, you can increase the prices of small arms or decrease the price of Iron used in the Arms Industries to earn more profit.

You can also see other industries offering more wages to workers and resulting in a drain of workers from your industry. To lure more workers, you will need to offer them more wages so they can earn more and improve their standard of living.
