Simple and detailed walkthroughs for all the main prisons in a form of:

Miscellaneous – a few things that apply to all the prisons
The guards will have the certain key based on their placement in the pre-game naming screen.
The first guard has the yellow key, 2nl – oranje, 3rd – paars, 4e – rood, 5e – groente.
If more guards are present in a prison, they don’t carry any key.
For ease, you can name the guards with colours to find certain keys in-game. Dit is optioneel, hoewel.
Obtaining a key:
- You must craft Wad of Putty and Molten Plastic.
- There are two approaches to knocking up a guard. You can either get your stats up at the gym, equip a good weapon and just beat him up, or you can follow the smart approach of crafting a Cup of Molten Chocolate.
- Hoe dan ook, after you knock him up, you must craft a Key Mould using his key and PLACE THE KEY BACK INTO HIS INVENTORY. This is extremely important, because otherwise you are going to be sent to solitary and have your contraband items confiscated.
If snipers are present in a prison, they go down from their towers at 23.00. Make sure to wait until then with doing stuff that triggers them (zoals: cutting, digging, chipping etc.). Keep in mind they can only see the outsides of a prison.
Center Perks
This prison is correctly labeled as very easy.
If you really want to feel the prison vibes then there are other escape plans to pull off, but I personally always “speedrun” Center Perks in order to get to the real prisons 😀
List of items you have to obtain:
- Bed Dummy
- Guard’s Outfit
- Chipping tool (4 forks work just fine)
- Cutting tool (4 knifes work just fine)
Walkthrough:
To escape Center Perks, you need to chip through the wall located at the bottom of the prison (right next to the purple-key doors leading outside). To speed things up, you can chip the wall down to 4% during the daytime, just make sure no guard sees you doing so.
At the very night of your escape:
Put the Bed Dummy in your bed, equip the Guard’s Outfit and finish chipping through that bottom wall. Don’t forget covering up the hole after you get outside!
Continue down till you see a fence, through which you just need to cut your way to freedom.
Be aware of the guards patrolling nearby.

Since you can escape Center Perks in just one day if you get enough cutlery, the video contains the whole in-game day with some parts sped up.

Stalag Flucht
Stalag Flucht is a nice one. The main challenge of this prison is that it is surrounded by two layers of the fence – outer of which being an electric one.
We cannot cut through an electric fence, but we can cut off the electricity for just enough time to cut through it as through a normal fence. This can be achieved by disabling the prison’s generator – which in Stalag Flucht – is located between these two fences.
List of items you have to obtain:
- Bed Dummy
- Guard’s Outfit
- Plastic Red Key
- Good cutting tool
Walkthrough:
At the very night of your escape:
Place the Bed Dummy in your bed, and after the evening rollcall go down the way until you see a fence with red-key doors. Equip your Guard’s Outfit and go through that door.
You then have to go into the generator’s room, click on the generator, and rush your way to the outer layer of the fence.
As soon as you get there, just start cutting your way out.

Shankton State Pen
I like this one for having so many inmates. It may be slightly harder for you to search all the desks, but it is worth your time considering the amount of items you can get from there.
I’ve seen maaaany different espace plans for this prison but I think that I’ve came up with one of the least complicated ones.
List of items you have to obtain:
- Bed Dummy
- Guard’s Outfit
- Good digging tool
- Contraband Pouch
- Timber Brace (x1)
- Pikhouweel (optionally)
Walkthrough:
Note that EITHER the kitchen job OR a Plastic Green Key is necessary for this escape plan.
Another good tip is to store all your illegal items in the vents above your cell. Just make sure to cover it using a fake vent cover, and also have a spare one stashed somewhere in case the main one breaks.
At the very night of your escape:
Place the Bed Dummy in your bed, head to the kitchen, wait up untill at least 23.00 and go outside. There just continue down until you see a fence with white-key doors.
Dig directly below you, immediately cover up and place a Timber Brace beneath your feet.
Daarna, simply dig two blocks straight and dig up. If you come across a stone, it’s better to chip it with a pickaxe (if you have one), but a Sturdy Shovel can do the trick too.

Jungle Compound
Jungle Compund is enjoyable but can be annoying. Mainly because of the metal detector between the cells and everything else.

- Timber Brace (rondom 10)
- Poster (x2)
- Jar of Ink
- Exotic Feather
- Plastic Red Key
- Pikhouweel (optionally)
Walkthrough:
Ten minste 80 intelligence is required for this escape plan.
Ook, it’s best to store all your illegal items in the library. Guards never patrol both the public library area and the job-restricted one.
You will need to chip though the library’s left wall and then another wall into the room with free wood and metal. Technically speaking, you only need to cover up the 2nd hole with a poster, but for safety, I recommend just covering them both and sleeping peacefully.
Whenever you have some free time, go to the utility tunnel connecting the library with the wood&metal room and dig several blocks left. It’s not needed to dig up until the very end, but the farther you dig, the more space you have for all your items so keep that in mind.
At the very night of your escape:
Place the Bed Dummy in your bed and head to the tunnel.
Items you need to take: Schep, Jar of Ink, Exotic Feather, Plastic Red Key.
Wait at the very end of your tunnel and wait till your hear the jeep’s sound. Right after it disappears, start digging up. When you get on the surface, cover the hole with dirt and start going north. Enter the room with green beds inside and collect Unsigned ID Papers from the table.
You must craft Signed ID Papers by combining the unsigned ones with Jar of Ink and Exotic Feather.
Exit the room and head south. Approach the Checkpoint Charlie by the gate and give him ID Papers so he raises the barrier for you.

Note that Stinger Strips are entirely NOT needed and I only crafted them by the force of habit from the next prison xD Just ignore their existence in the video, I didn’t want to spend a couple of hours re-recording just because of this.
San Pancho
Nu, San Pancho is where it gets hard for the average player. Not only does the prison have an electric fence and two layers wide walls, but also landmines spreaded outside. And everybody hates you.
I’ve seen people mention that Stinger Strips are necessary for the escape, whilst in my opinion they’re only a waste of duct tape.
List of items you have to obtain:
- Bed Dummy
- Guard’s Outfit
- Multitool (or both Sturdy Shovel and Sturdy Pickaxe)
- Poster (x1)
- Good Cutting tool
- Plastic Yellow Key
- Plastic Orange Key
- Stinger Strip (x1/2, but seriously, optioneel)
Walkthrough:
Note that the tailor job is necessary for this escape plan. Also know you can store all your illegal items there, the guards never go inside.
Alright so, the escape is divided into two nights, so keep that in mind.
Ten eerste, similarly to the Jungle Compound, you’re going to dig a tunnel. Do so in the utility hallway upwards from the tailor job, on the second block counting from the right (don’t worry though, you can always correct that later). One more similarity: technically you don’t need to cover up the hole leading inside the hallway, but I always do it for safety reasons.
De eerste “escape night” starts when your tunnel has reached the electric fence. As the generator is located on top of the roof, you are going to need a few things to get through that fence.
To take: Guard’s Outfit, Cutters, Plastic Yellow Key, Plastic Orange Key.
's Nachts, put the Bed Dummy in your bed and step into the kitchen. In the bottom right corner there’s a ladder behind an orange-key door. Go through that door and up the ladder. Head upwards till you see the generator and cut the fence that surrounds it.
A little disclaimer: you can cover the hole you cut there using a fake fence, but I’ve never done it and I’ve never been cought on several game saves.
Hoe dan ook, disable the generator and rush to your tunnel the same way you got there (de ladder af, exit the kitchen, enter tailor job). Inside the tunnel, immediately start cutting the fence and hope to make it in time.
You can then dig a few blocks farther up if you have the tools and low enough fatigue at that point, but you’re going to return to your cell later anyway. In the upcoming days, keep coming to the tunnel and dig up until the reinforced wall at the end of the map. When you reach it and have all the necessary items, you’re ready to escape.
The actual escape night:
To take: Multitool, Guard’s Outfit, Stinger Strips (only if you made them).
Put the Bed Dummy in your bed and go to your tunnel. The same story as in the Jungle – wait for the jeep sound and after it disappears, dig up. Don’t forget to cover up the hole.
Make sure that you stick to the walls of the prison, else you’re going to be blown up by the landmines.
If you made some Stinger Strips, then you can go ONE block down from the wall and drop them on the ground by rightclicking them in your inventory. Then you should go to the left top corner of the prison and chip through both layers of the wall to escape.
Stinger Strips produce a shooting sound to warn you when they stop the jeep, don’t freak out.
If you didn’t make any Stinger Strips, follow the prison’s walls south, where the wall is only one layer wide. Wait here for the jeep and after it passes, chip through that one layer to escape.
HMP-Irongate
You should know that I really hate Irongate. I feel like the devs failed the task to make the last prison satisfying – they just added a bunch of metal detectors and cameras to make you miserable.
List of items you have to obtain:
- Bed Dummy
- Guard’s Outfit
- Grappling Hook
- Makeshift Raft
- Plastic Red Key
- Good Cutting tool
- Contraband Pouch
- Fake Vent Cover (make a spare one too)
Walkthrough:
In order to make your life at least slightly easier, get the mailman job so that the cameras will ignore you entering other cells and searching others’ desks. Before so, use Toothpaste or Shaving Cream on a camera to temporarily disable it.
You are also likely to find yourself in need of buying many items, so keep doing favours to your inmates.
In your spare time, visit vents above your cell (cover the camera!) and cut your way right (preferably with plastic knifes, not to waste other tools) up until you reach a room with a ladder and Prisoner Stash. When you get there and you have all the items. you’re ready to escape.
At the very night of your escape:
To take: Plastic Red Key, Cutters, Grappling Hook, Makeshift Raft
Put the Bed Dummy in your bed. Go up that mentioned ladder. On the roof go upwards, step on the pole that’s there and step right to fall on the ground. Now circle around the prison until you find red-key doors in the fence. Go through and to the left.
Enter the first room you see and go up the ladder. Cross the pole to the left building.
Cut the fence and use the Grappling Hook on the wall to fall on the ground outside of prison walls.
Head right until you see a wooden platform – step on it, place your raft and you shall be free.
