This guide provides tips on enhancing traction in SnowRunner across various surfaces. SnowRunner players are familiar with those dull moments when getting stuck becomes more frequent than actual driving. This can make the game frustrating and monotonous at times. To address this, some players might find it more enjoyable if there were a difficulty setting mode available!

Finding the Installation Folder

5. Use a program such as WinRAR or a similar tool to open the “initial.pak” bestand.

To open the “Trucks.xml” bestand, volg deze stappen:

1. Go to the Media folder.
2. Inside the Media folder, find the Templates directory.
3. Look for the “Trucks.xml” file within the Templates folder.
4. Right-click on the “Trucks.xml” file and select “Open with” to choose a text editor such as Notepad or any other similar program.

Find and Change Values

It is important to note that caution must be exercised when increasing these values to avoid excessive grip, which could lead to difficulties in truck movement.

How to Choose Values

Please adhere to the following instructions when adjusting the values:

1. Make modest changes to the values. It is suggested to double the lower values and increase the higher values by 50% naar 70%.
2. Refer to the provided image below, which displays the values you have been using for an extended period.
3. After making the necessary modifications, close the window and save the file.

Important Notes

Before making any modifications to the “Trucks.xml” bestand, it is crucial to create a backup of the original file. This is necessary because when the game receives an update on Steam, it will overwrite your modified file with the original one.

Once you have created the backup, you can proceed with modifying the file.

To replace the original file with the modified version after an update, please follow these steps:

1. Use WinRAR or a similar program to open the “initial.pak” bestand.

3. Drag and drop or paste and replace the modified “Trucks.xml” file into this location.
4. Follow Step 3 (from the previous instructions) to complete the process.
