Here’s how to make your controller work while playing RiMS Racing on the Steam Deck. Aanvankelijk, the game doesn’t pick up the controller, only the keyboard commands.

How to Fix Controller Issues on Steam Deck

Here’s a step-by-step guide to implementing the fix for RiMs Racing:

1. Install RiMs Racing and switch to Desktop Mode.
2. Open Protontricks, choose RiMs Racing, and confirm with OK. After a moment, select the default wineprefix and confirm again with OK.
3. Volgende, select Run winecfg and confirm with OK. This will open the Wine Configuration window for RiMs Racing. Make sure you’re in the Application tab.
4. At the bottom of the window, switch the Windows version to Windows 7 and click Apply.
5. Locate RiMs Racing in your Steam Library, click Manage, selecteer vervolgens Eigenschappen.
6. Scroll down to Launch Options and paste the following command into the box:
