Tegenaanslag: Wereldwijd offensief – Operation Riptide Week 1 Missions Guide

This guide is going to focus on the newest CS:GO operation, Operation Riptide, and its weekly missions, what are these and how to complete them without any difficulty, and what tips I can give you. I try to update this guide as fast as possible, so I suggest you keep an eye on my guide. So let’s see what are we working with!

Week 1: Shark Week

In this week, wij hebben 6 different missions and 10 available stars out of 13:

• Food Chain: Krijgen 10 kills in a series of different radar locations on Mirage, Deathmatch. (1 ster)
• Blood in the Water: Complete a variety of different tasks on Blacksite, Danger Zone. (1 task: 1 ster / 3 tasks: 2 sterren / 5 tasks: 3 sterren)
• Premier: Winnen 21 rondes, or win one game in a Short Match, Premier. (3 sterren)
• Uittreksel: Overeenkomst 300 utility damage, or deal 200 utility damage in a single match on Extraction, Wingman. (2 sterren)
• It’s Raining Sharks: Survive an aerial assault on Blacksite, Guardian. (2 sterren)
• Feeding Frenzy: Krijgen 30 doden, or get four multi-kill rounds in a single match on Group Delta, Casual. (2 sterren)

Let’s see these missions one by one.

Food Chain (Mirage Deathmatch)

Food Chain: Krijgen 10 kills in a series of different radar locations on Mirage, Deathmatch.

If you need fast stars, I can recommend doing this mission. This mission needs decent aiming and positioning and basic knowledge of Mirage.

The first challenge is to get into a game, which plays this map because this map is in Defuse Group Delta, so you can get any map from that group. Ook, I recommend doing this mission either in Team vs Team or Classic Deathmatch mode, because in FFA, it could be really annoying to navigate through the whole map against 19 other players, but if you have really good aim, you can give it a shot in FFA, te.

You can choose any team to do this challenge. The locations, where you need to kill one person are the following:

• Bombsite A
• CT spawn
• Market/Shop (Keuken)
• Catwalk
• Middle
• Stairs
• Bombsite A again
• T ramp
• T spawn

The easiest way to do this is to die until you get a good spawn around A site (either Ramp, Palace, Jungle, or CT) and start your killing spree then. You need to stand on that location, which the mission asks you. When you did your deed in one place, go to the next one, enzovoort. If you partially do this mission and your match ends, you can continue it in the next one. This is one of the easiest missions from this week.

Blood in the Water (Blacksite Danger Zone)

Blood in the Water: Complete a variety of different tasks on Blacksite, Danger Zone.

If you need fast stars, I recommend you to do the first 3 tasks out of 5 te krijgen 2 stars from my list. This mission needs a bit of luck and basic knowledge of Blacksite.

This one is a bit difficult, because you actually need a match on Blacksite in Danger Zone, and thanks to the 9 minute map periods, this could be difficult to get it actually. I recommend doing this with a friend or with the auto-fill squad.

The tasks which you need to do are the following:

• Destroy an enemy drone
• Explode a barrel
• Break glass
• Bump mine launch of the top of the water tower
• Rescue a hostage.

You can perform the tasks in any order of your choosing. You can start with any perk of your choosing and location. The following ordering is from the easiest task to the hardest, in my experience.

The first one which is the easiest to get is blowing up a barrel. There are tons of barrels around the map, you just need to find any weapon, which is either a gun or melee to blow it up.

The next one is to break the glass. Nu, this is a bit tricky, but not too bad. On the left-mid side of the island, you can find a greenhouse next to a house, which can help you to do this mission. Ook, around the port area (right-mid side of the island), there are doors in a certain house, which has glass in it. Shot one of these glass parts to complete this mission.

The next one is to destroy an enemy drone. Helaas, you can’t do this mission with the drone control perk, so you need to find an alternative way for it. What worked for me, I bought a Drone upgrade from the shop for 1000$ or find one around the island. This will show all of the drones in the arena. Daarna, you need to get a proper weapon. The best ones for this are Rifles and Heavy weapons, but with some luck, SMGs could do the magic too. You should check your tablet for drones and make your way there. If you spot one, start shooting it and hope it will get destroyed. Sometimes these things are pretty durable, so keep trying.

The next one is the bump mine mission. Hiervoor, you need to either find a bump mine around the map or buy a mobility pack for 1000$ from the shop and get a bump mine from it. If you got it, go to the water tower, which is located on the right top side of the island, towards the center. You need to go up on 3 ladders until you reach the very top of the tower. Daarna, you simply place a bump mine on the top and step on it. You don’t have to survive the fall.

Next is the hostage one. Nu, this one is also tricky, because you need to be lucky to find a hostage around the map. Sadly I can’t share any tips to find a hostage easier, you need to search for it. Ook, you need to be lucky with the zone to not take the Rescue zones. If you manage to find someone to save, you need to navigate to a rescue zone, but be careful, you are not fast as before and you become a bigger target, thanks to that guy on your shoulder.

Premier (Short match Premier)

Premier: Winnen 21 rondes, or win one game in a Short Match, Premier.

For fast stars, this one is a good mission to take.

This one is not bad at all but depends on your teammates and your skill level. This mission has two ways to complete it as you can see and both ways give you the same rewards. Naar mijn mening, the easiest way is to win a match in a short Premier mode. I recommend you to do this with at least 2 other friends.

There is not much to talk about here, you need to win a shorter competitive match in Premier. Vote for a map that you like and start doing your spree. Don’t forget, this mode has the same length as a Wingman match, so a half-time has only 8 rondes. Be a bit more aggressive with the buys, but play normally in the rounds. Voltooiing 21 rounds is also away, but it takes way more time.

Uittreksel (Extraction Wingman)

Uittreksel: Overeenkomst 300 utility damage, or deal 200 utility damage in a single match on Extraction, Wingman.

This one could be difficult, depending on your enemies’ and your team’s behavior and skill level.

This mission also has two ways to complete it, the fastest one is to deal 200 damage in one game, Echter, doing a total of 300 damage is not too bad and long to do.

Extraction is a solid and simple map in the Wingman scene, but doing a decent amount of grenade damages could be frustrating. Both on CT and T side has opportunities to do the mission, but CT is better in my opinion.

From CT spawn, if you take the left side, you can throw a nade or incendiary at the end of the long “corridor” deel, which goes to T spawn. The other place where you can get nice damage is behind the bombsite. There is a window, which goes into a room, and that’s accessible for the Ts, te. Opnieuw, nade or fire grenade could do the magic here. If you choose the right side from the CT spawn, you can do damage in the short route to the T spawn. Simply throw in a nade or incendiary for absolute damage.

On the T side, things get a bit more tricky. If you go right, you should throw grenades ahead of CT spawn, gebruikelijk, most people camp there. If you go forward, you can take the door on your right, and throw a grenade or Molotov to the bomb site, but usually, not many people go there. The other way however needs a bit of baiting to get the CT close enough to throw a nade, or you can throw a grenade behind the wall ahead of you, ahead of CT spawn.

These are your options, Echter, you can always ask for help from the opposing team and sometimes they could be nice people too.

It’s Raining Sharks (Blacksite Guardian)

It’s Raining Sharks: Survive an aerial assault on Blacksite, Guardian.

This one is another really easy mission. If you need fast stars, definitely take this one. You need decent AWP skills or pistol skills to do this mission.

Take a friend and start a queue for this mission. You will spawn at the construction area on Blacksite, next to the water tower. You get an AWP and a CT pistol. Your objective is to kill 30 enemies with any weapon, who parachuting down from above. The easiest way to do this is to use the AWP and its mighty scope. What you need to be aware of, because the targets are really far away, use the 1-time scope on them and aim a bit ahead of the targets, because of the distance. If they are halfway down, you can aim normally on them. If they are really close, you can kill them with your pistol easily. The enemy can touch the ground, but you need to stop them from planting the bomb. The enemy rarely kills you, Echter, if they start shooting at you, start changing position and kill those, who firing at you.

Feeding Frenzy (Defusal Group Delta Casual)

Feeding Frenzy: Krijgen 30 doden, or get four multi-kill rounds in a single match in Defusal Group Delta, Casual.

This one is either really easy or a bit difficult mission to take, depending on your skillset. You can complete this mission multiple ways, but I recommend you to get 4 multi-kill rounds.

A multi-kill means you need to kill at least 2 people in one round. Queue up for a casual game in Group Delta. The maps you can get are Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, Overpass, Cache, and Train. The easiest maps to complete this mission in my opinion are Mirage, Nuke, and Train, but that’s my personal experience. I suggest you get a match on one of these maps. Dan, you should join CT to make your job easier, but you can take any side as you want. What I did, I started to play passive as possible and tried to see where most people go. When I knew where are the least number of enemies is, I choose that part, pushed there, and made my way behind the bigger group. You can also camp one site too, but it could be really boring to do that. I don’t recommend you to do 30 kills in Casual… you could do so much in that time.
