The developer of Mobius Playtest has released a new update for the game on April 5, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
New Features
- Added a new map with an art pass called Atlas
- Added new character model
- Added new weapon model for Greatsword
- Added Zweihander as a playable weapon
- Added Assault class
- Added player character outlines
Combat Changes
- Movement has been completely overhauled
- Riposte mechanic has been redesigned: Now gives you invincibility and unflinching but only for one hit.
- Ripostes now have +50ms release
- Parry window reduced from 350ms to 325ms
- Parry recovery increased from 350ms to 375ms
- Stamina on hit reduced from 10 to 5
- Increased stamina on deflect from 10 to 25
- Removed the “360°” deflect, meaning you now can’t “back deflect”
- You can no longer combo on miss
- You can now combo while exhausted
- Missing now adds 1s to your exhaustion duration
- Missing now stops active health & stamina regeneration
- Neutral windup now stops active health & stamina regeneration
- Morphing now stops active health & stamina regeneration
- Parry lockout now stops active health & stamina regeneration
- Disabled release curves
- Flinch lockout increased by 100ms
- Stun now ends whenever you get flinched
- You can now parry cancel while exhausted (defaults to deflect cancel)
- You can now parry cancel even with 1 stamina (but it will exhaust you)
- Increased player bubble size by 5%
- Increased turncaps by ~25%
- Benefits of hitting an enemy no longer apply when hitting a teammate
- Reduced cancel cost from 15 to 5
- Increased parry lockout from 800ms to 900ms
Improvements & Bug Fixes
- Improved how the game replicates where a player is looking, resulting in much clearer swing manipulation
- Server browser got a facelift
- Animations now lower their framerate based on distance
- Fixed an issue where the entire chest of the player character was being counted as a headshot (lmao)
- Fixed an issue where your parry input could get consumed if you input it at the tail end of parry recovery
- Fixed an issue where combo morphs did not have a static timing
- Fixed an issue where player character nameplates were not showing up while spectating
- Fixed an issue where if you late parry, the game would sometimes perform a parry into parry
- Fixed an issue where turncap would persist if you died mid swing
- Fixed an issue where damage & stamina invincibility would not apply during the PreRound phase in LTS
- Removed a delay preventing you from opening the chat window repeatedly
- Fixed an issue where mouse cursor would not show sometimes while on the team select screen
- Fixed an issue where if you input fast enough, you could effectively parry-into-parry without a second parry
Notes & Known Issues
- There will likely be a smaller update in the coming days with a new character model for the assault class
- Zweihander left stab morphs look kinda strange in first person
- LTS Killzone has some visual issues
- Player outlines have some issues with weapon outlines
