Anodyne Full Walkthrough and Achievement Speed Run

A full walkthrough of everything in Anodyne. This guide should easily get you through the speedrun achievement.

Roadway

When able to move, step on the teleporter. Head north. Enable both computer screens, 북쪽으로 향합니다, and enter the teleporter to go to the Nexus. 일단 안으로, 북쪽으로 향합니다, chat with the Sage a little bit, and save at the checkpoint. 지금부터, I won’t note when to save at one, but just keep as a general rule to use one when possible. Head west and teleport to the Roadway. 일단 안으로, 북쪽으로 향합니다, 동쪽, 동쪽. Push the button and head east. Open the chest for the 비, your weapon in this game. You’ll get various upgrades for this weapon, but this is the only weapon you’ll have for the game. Kill the enemies and head west, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽. Kill the enemies, open the chest for a key, head west, and open the lock. Head north, kill the slime, and head north, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽. Step on the teleporter to get transported to the Blue Forest.

Blue Forest

Head north, 서쪽, 서쪽, 동쪽 (in the lower passage), 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽. Open the chest for the Edwardcard. Head north, 북쪽, 서쪽, 동쪽 (in the upper passage), 동쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽. Chat with the sage and enter the temple dungeon.

Temple

Head west, 서쪽, and open the chest for a key. Head east, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽 (block the shooting machines by picking up dust and placing it in front of them), kill the enemies, 서쪽, 서쪽, kill the enemies, 남쪽, kill the enemies, 동쪽, and open the chest for a key. Head west, 북쪽, 북쪽. Get one of the enemies to push a button and then stand on the other button to open the gate. Head east, 동쪽, and push the button to open the gates. Head south, 동쪽, kill the enemies, 남쪽, 서쪽, and open the chest for the 레드 슬라임 카드. Head east, 북쪽, unlock the gate, 북쪽, kill the enemies, 서쪽, kill the slime, 동쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, kill the enemies, 북쪽.

Seer

This fight is pretty easy, just run up and spam attacks. You should be able to tank long enough to survive.

호수

Go south, 남쪽, 서쪽, and talk to Miao the cat. They’ll follow you for a while. 동쪽으로 가세요, 동쪽, and activate the Nexus Point. Teleport to the Nexus, 버튼을 누릅니다, and go back to the Lake. Head west, 서쪽, get Miao again, then east, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, and talk to the Goldman. 상자를 열어보세요. Head east, 동쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, and enter the cave. Put all of the dust in the hole and open the chest to get the Goldman card. Teleport to the Nexus and teleport back to the Lake. Head east, 남쪽, and talk to Finty twice. He’ll give you Biking Shoes. Head west, 서쪽, and give Mitra the biking shoes to receive the Jump Boots, which let you jump.

Head south and put dust on the river to ride on it. Ride east, 동쪽, get off the dust, and south. Jump over the spikes and use the dust to go west, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 버튼을 누르세요, and head south on the dust. Go north through the eastern exit, then east, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, kill the enemy, and open the chest for the Miao the Cat card. Head south on dust, then east, 동쪽, west through the lower path, head west on dust, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다. Now go west, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽. Kill the enemies and head east, 남쪽, 서쪽, and kill the slime. Now head east, 북쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, and kill the enemies. Head south, 남쪽, kill the frog, then head back north, 동쪽, and open the chest for the MITRA card (long way to get a single card, 뭐?). Return to the Nexus and teleport back to the Lake. Head west, 남쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, and west to enter the Beach.

Beach

Head south, 서쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, and activate the Nexus Point. Head west, 북쪽, 동쪽, west on the north exit, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, and south. Now go south, 동쪽, and open the chest for the 어부 카드. Go west, 서쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, north on the left side, and open the gate. Head north, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, and get the Health Upgrade. Now go east through the lower exit, 버튼을 누릅니다, 남쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다, 동쪽으로 가다, 동쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽. Attack the fisherman twice and jump into the whirlpool.

홍해

Head south, 서쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, west through the lower passage, 남쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다, 동쪽, 동쪽, and activate the Nexus Point. Head west, 서쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, and open the chest for Red Walker 카드. Walk south and push the button. Head north on the left side and east. Now go south, 남쪽, 그리고 던전에 들어가자.

Red Cave

Head north. Kill the enemy by luring it into the water jet, then go north. Get the enemy to step on a button and then step on the other to open one gate, then kill the enemy with the water to open another. Go west and kill the enemies, then go west again. Head north and stab the worm at its end to open more dungeon entrances, then kill the reaper to open the gate. Head east, kill the reaper to open the gate, then go east again. Open the chest for a key. Now go west, 서쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, east to get back to the entrance. Head east, 동쪽, 북쪽, free the worm, 서쪽, 서쪽, then open the chest for a key.

Teleport to the entrance (through the map part of the menu), 북쪽으로 향합니다, 북쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 동쪽, and unlock the gates to open a chest for Mover card. Return to the entrance and head south. Go east and enter the dungeon. Go north, 서쪽, kill the reaper, 북쪽, kill the enemies, 북쪽, lure the mover onto the button and press the other, 동쪽, kill the reaper, and open the chest for a key. Retrace your steps back to the entrance, then head east, 북쪽, 북쪽, kill the reaper, and open the chest for a key. Return to the entrance (don’t teleport, as it moves you to another section of the dungeon). Unlock the gates, 북쪽으로 향합니다, and free the worm. Head south, 남쪽, south to exit the dungeon. Go west, west and enter the section of the dungeon. Head north, 서쪽, kill the mover, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 서쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다, and open the chest for a key. 입구로 돌아갑니다. 동쪽으로 가세요, kill the mover, 북쪽, get the mover to press the button, 북쪽, 서쪽, and open the chest for a key. Return to the entrance and open the gate, then go north. Open the other gate and free the worm. Go south, 남쪽, 남쪽. Head east and north, then enter the next portion of the dungeon. Head west, 서쪽, 서쪽, kill the reaper, and open the chest for a Slasher card (guess the reapers are called slashers). Go back to the entrance and head east, 동쪽.

악당

This guy’s definitely harder than the first boss, but if you’re at at least half health, you can kill him easily if you attack carefully. 그렇지 않으면, I recommend just dying to get back to it with full health.

잡아 Health Upgrade, 남쪽으로 가세요, open the chest for 악당 카드, and take the Red Key. Go south and activate the Nexus Point. Teleport to the entrance (from the menu) and go south. Head north, 북쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽. Push the button and enter the final section of the dungeon. Head east, 동쪽, and open the chest for Broom Widen 치받이. You’ll get a few of these upgrades throughout the game and you can only equip one at a time. Teleport back to the entrance, 남쪽으로 가세요, and teleport to the Lake. In the Lake, 동쪽으로 가세요, 북쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다. Now go north, 동쪽, 남쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다. Go north, south through the left passage, 동쪽, 동쪽.

Green Forest

동쪽으로 가세요, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, and activate the Nexus Point. In the Nexus, go south and push the button, then teleport back to the Green Forest. Head south, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, and open the chest for 버섯 카드. Return to the Nexus and teleport back to Green Forest. Head south, 동쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽.

Cliffs

Head east, 북쪽, 동쪽, west through the top passage, 북쪽, 동쪽, and enter the cave.

Cliffs Cave

Head east, 동쪽 (you only activate the moving blocks if you jump on them, and you can recharge them with dust), push the buttons, 동쪽, 북쪽, kill the wolf, and open the chest for Broom Extend. Now retrace your steps back to the start of the dungeon and leave. Head east and activate the Nexus Point. Head south, 동쪽, and enter the cave. Head north, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, kill the frogs, 북쪽, kill the enemies, and open the chest for a key. Return to the entrance, 북쪽으로 가다, 북쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, and open the chest for a key. Now go west, 서쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, press the buttons, 북쪽, 동쪽, and kill the enemies.

Go north, 북쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, kill the enemies, and open the chest for a key. Go south and push the button. Now go north, 서쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, hit the buttons, 북쪽, open the gate, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, and open the chest for Frog card. Now hop down, 동쪽, 남쪽, and enter the doorway after unlocking the gate. Now enter the upper door, kill the frogs, and head north. Go north, open the gate, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, now leave and re-enter the lower part of the dungeon. Go south, 남쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, and open the chest for a key. Push the button and go back to the upper part of the dungeon. Go north, unlock the gate, 동쪽, kill the enemies, 남쪽. Open the chest for Person card, hit the button, 서쪽. Now go south, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, and jump down the hole. Push the button and go north.

벽

This boss looks a lot more intimidating than it actually is. You can only attack it while all of its teeth are showing, but its attacks are really easy to dodge and it doesn’t have much health.

잡아 Health Upgrade and head north. Chat with the Sage, get the Blue Key, and open the chest for 벽 카드. Head north and activate the Nexus Point. Return to the Nexus and teleport to the Lake. Go south, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, west on the lower path, 서쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, south on the left side, 동쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, and east.

Windmill

문을 열어라, 북쪽으로 향합니다, activate the Nexus Point, open the gate, 북쪽, and open the gate. Climb to the top of the windmill and activate it. Now climb back down and open the chest for Windmill 카드. Return to the Nexus and teleport to the Temple Dungeon. Go east and jump over the holes (not intended but very useful). Open the chests for a key and Pew Pew 카드. Go west, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽. 일단 밖으로, 동쪽으로 가다, 남쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, kill the enemies, 서쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, east at the top, 북쪽, 서쪽. Open the chest for Annoyer 카드. Teleport to the Temple Dungeon and go south until you’re outside. 동쪽으로 가세요, 동쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽.

Black and White Town

Go south, 동쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽. Activate the Nexus Point. Now go east, 동쪽. Unlock the gate and head, through the maze, 서쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, west on the bottom, east on the top, and grab the Health Upgrade. Return to the Nexus and teleport back to Black and White Town. Now go east and talk to the man in front of the house. Now go around and kill the townspeople until he lets you enter. Now enter the house and go east. Open the chest for Suburbanite’s Corpse 카드. Return to the Nexus and teleport back to Black and White Town. Now head north until you can’t anymore, then east, 북쪽.

아파트

Go north and activate the Nexus Point. Now go north once again, after solving an extremely easy puzzle (힌트: use Broom Widen). 이 방에서, get the silverfish to help push all the buttons, then kill them to open the gates. Go west, 북쪽, kill the enemies, north on the right side, 동쪽, push the button to open the gate, 동쪽, and get the rat to push the buttons with the crystals. Now go west, 남쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽. Open the chest for a key. Go south, south on the right side, 남쪽, kill the enemies, 남쪽, and open the chest for Silverfish card. Now return to the entrance from the menu. Go north, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, north on the left side, 동쪽, 동쪽, hit the crystal, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, get the rat to push the button with dust (the puzzle is really easy), 남쪽, open the chest for a key, hop down, 동쪽, 북쪽, north on the left side, 동쪽, 동쪽, hit the crystal, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, east on the top side, kill the gasguy, 동쪽, 북쪽, unlock the gate, 서쪽.

Kill the enemies with the help of the crystals, then go up the stairs. Now go south, kill the enemies, 서쪽, kill the enemies, 북쪽, kill the enemies, 계단을 올라가다, and open the chest for Gasguy card. Return to the entrance and go north, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, and go up the stairs. Go west on the top path, get the rat to push the button with the crystal, 남쪽, get the silverfish to push the button, 서쪽, kill the enemies and push the button, 서쪽, 남쪽, and open the lock. Now go north, 동쪽, 북쪽, unlock the gate, 계단을 내려가다, push the buttons, then go back up. Now go west, 서쪽, get the rat to help you push the buttons, 남쪽. Get through the simple maze and go west, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, get the silverfish to help you push the buttons, 북쪽, kill the enemies, 동쪽, kill the enemies, and open the chest for a key. Now go west, 남쪽, 동쪽, chase the silverfish into helping you push the buttons, unlock the gate, 동쪽, 북쪽.

당직자

This boss is pretty easy if you equip Broom Extend and just tank the hits, so just do that and you’ll win easily.

잡아 Health Upgrade and go south from the right exit. Go east and open the chest for 당직자 카드. You’re done here, so return to the entrance, 남쪽으로 가십시오, return to the Nexus, and teleport to the Lake. Go west, 남쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, open the gate, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽. Activate the Nexus Point and go east, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽. Open the chest for 세이지 카드. Now return to the Nexus and teleport to the Red Cave Dungeon. Go south.

8-Bit Maze

Now return to the Nexus and teleport to the Acrobats Dungeon.

Acrobat’s Tent

Go west, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, south on the right side, north on the left side, 북쪽, west on the middle side, 남쪽, north on the left side, 동쪽, west on the bottom side, 버튼을 누르세요, hit the crystal, 동쪽, 북쪽. Return to the entrance, 서쪽, 북쪽, west on the upper path, 서쪽, kill the slimes, 북쪽 (if a crystal blocks the door go back and hit it), 북쪽, kill the enemies, 동쪽, kill the enemies, 남쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다, kill the frogs, 북쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, kill the bats, 북쪽, kill the contorts, and open the chest for Contorts card. Return to the entrance. Go north, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽, kill the bats, 북쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, kill the lions, and open the chest for a key. Return to the entrance. Go north, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, unlock the gate, 북쪽, 서쪽, kill the contorts, 서쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, kill the lions, and open the chest for a key. Arthur and Javiera

This fight seemed hard, but the duo have a very low health pool, so just tank through them.

잡아 Health Upgrade and go north, down the stairs, 남쪽, 북서, 서쪽. Open the chest for Arthur and Javiera 카드. Return up the stairs, then go south, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 동쪽. Get the rat to push the button, then go north, push the buttons, and open the chest for a key. Return to the entrance. Go north until you can’t anymore, then go south, 남쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, unlock the gate, 북서, 버튼을 누릅니다, 남쪽, kill the enemies, 남쪽, kill the contorts, and open the chest for 사자 카드. Now return to the entrance, 남쪽으로 가십시오, return to the Nexus, and teleport to the Cliffs Dungeon. Go north, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, and open the chest for Dog 카드. Teleport back to the Cliffs Dungeon and go north, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, go down the second to eastmost ladder, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, kill the enemies, 서쪽, kill the enemies, 서쪽, 서쪽, and open the chest for 바위 카드. Teleport to Cliffs Dungeon and go north, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, and go north until you can’t anymore, then go east twice.

공간

동쪽으로 가세요, 북쪽, and activate the Nexus Point. Go west until you can’t anymore, then go north twice. Open the chest for Blue Cube King 카드. Teleport to Space and go east as far as possible, then north, 서쪽, 북쪽, and open the chest for Orange Cube King 카드. Teleport to Space, then go north three times.

호텔

Go west three times and go down the stairs. Go south, 남쪽, 동쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, kill the slimes, south on the right side, 버튼을 누릅니다, 북쪽, 남서, 남서, 버튼을 누릅니다, 북쪽, southeast, 동쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다, and activate the Nexus Point. Now go north, northeast, 북쪽, southeast, southeast, 동쪽, kill the slimes, 북쪽, kill the wolf, 북쪽, and open the chest for a key. Now go south, 남쪽, 북서, 북쪽, northeast, 남서, 서쪽, 남쪽, unlock the gate, 동쪽, 남쪽, 서쪽, 서쪽, southeast, southeast, and open the chest for Dustmaid card. Now go north, 서쪽, and go to floor 3. Go northwest, 북쪽, 북쪽, southeast, 남쪽, 동쪽, push both buttons at the same time (괜찮아요, it’s not hard) and open the chest for a key. Now go west, 남쪽, 동쪽, kill the gasguy, open the chest for a key, 서쪽, 북서, 북쪽, unlock the gate, 서쪽, 북쪽, and open the chest for Dasher card. Go south, 동쪽, 북쪽, southeast, unlock the gate, 동쪽, 북쪽, and go down the stairs. Go south, 남서, 남쪽, 서쪽, northeast, and open the chests for two keys. Go southwest and press the button. Now go north, 북쪽, 북쪽, 서쪽, 남서, 남쪽, 서쪽, 북쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다. Go back to the crossroads area and go northwest, 남쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, kill the flowers, and open the chest for a key. Return to the crossroads and go east, 동쪽, and down the stairs.

Unlock the gate and go south, 버튼을 누르세요, 서쪽, 남쪽, 동쪽, kill the flowers, 남쪽, kill the wolf, 서쪽, kill the slime, and take the elevator to floor 3. Go northwest and unlock the gate, 서쪽, 남쪽, and go down the stairs. Go north, 북쪽, 북쪽, 동쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, southeast, 동쪽, go north twice (taking dust with you), southeast, 남쪽, 남쪽, and open the chest for Burst Plant card. Now make your way back to this floor’s elevator and go north all the way, 동쪽, and down the stairs. Go west, 서쪽, 서쪽, 남쪽, 남쪽, hit the button, 동쪽, unlock the gate, 북쪽, kill the enemies, and open the chest for a key. Now go south, 남쪽, 동쪽, 버튼을 누릅니다. Now go south.

Manager

Pretty easy boss, just attack and try to dodge their attacks. Go south after the fight for phase 2, which is equally easy.

잡아 Health Upgrade and go south. Open the chest for Manager 카드. Return to the entrance, go back to Space, and teleport to the Terminal (place where you got Sage card).

Terminal

Unlock the gate and go north.

세이지

Pretty easy boss fight, not many tips I can offer here.

싸움 후, 북쪽으로 가다, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽, 북쪽. Open the chest for Broom Swap 치받이. Activate the Nexus Point and go north. Switch to swap and solve the puzzle. Here’s the solution:
