The developer of Kingdom Under Fire: War of Heroes has released a new update for the game on January 1, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.

1:1 Game Record Display
- During 1:1 multiplayer games, clicking on the newly added record button allows viewing the opponent’s record for both users.
- Detailed status of nodes during synchronization is now displayed in the multiplayer lobby.

- Fixed a bug where equipped items would sometimes duplicate into the inventory in RPG mode missions.
- Fixed an issue where resource changes due to building repair and dismantling were not immediately reflected in the status bar.

Human Alliance
- Increased the steel cost of Elven Rangers from 350 to 360.
- Units within guardposts now only gain experience divided by their level.
- Archers now replenish fire arrows within guardposts at a rate of 1 every 4 seconds, up to a maximum of 18.
- Mages can now enter guardposts and cast Lightning with 40 (1/3 of Sorceresses’) attack power.
- Reduced the explosion splash damage resistance ratio of Knight Templars from 50% to 20%.
- After developing the Charge skill, if a charging unit is hit by an explosion attack, the charge time decreases by only 1 second regardless of attack direction.
- Dwarven cannons now perform predictive shooting towards moving targets.
- Clerics can now use Purification on buildings.
- Golems take 25% additional damage from non-magical explosion attacks but are unaffected by Corruption and Kiss of Seduction.
- If Gernot is hit by melee damage from behind while performing an attack, the attack is canceled, and instead, the attacker behind him receives damage equal to 50% of Gernot’s attack power. This does not apply when Holy Aura is on.
- Dragons are no longer completely stopped by Spider Towers. Also, they leave ground fires which deal additional damage to the target location for a certain period for ground attacks.
- (Beta) Reduced the cooldown of Cleric’s consecutive healing by 33%.

Dark Legion
- Reduced the resistance to energy attacks of Ogres from 25% to 10%.
- Evil Eyes’ effect on buildings now persist over time and continue to provide vision.
- Placing an Evil Eye on an enemy base building allows viewing the enemy’s resource status when selecting that building.
- Friendly units/buildings affected by Evil Eyes can now be removed by using another friendly Evil Eye on them.
- Reduced the maximum reduction in armor for Swamp Mammoths producing larva from up to 9 to up to 7.
- Fixed an issue where Swamp Mammoths’ larva would still deal damage to the target even if they lost track of it before exploding.
- Units affected by Corruption will guard Amaruak until given another command. Zombies are excluded. Automatic guarding does not function in No Sub Hero mode.
- When transforming wizard units into Liches due to Corruption exceeding population limits, they now transform into zombies that do not count towards population.
- Reduced the stunning duration for Likuku when hit by lightning attacks.

Common
- In PvP games, when the remaining resources in a mine are depleted, the mine’s HP is reduced to 20% of its maximum.
- (Beta) When repairing guardposts and towers, the number of workers is now limited to a maximum of 3 at a time.
