The developer of Killmaiden has released a new update for the game on April 16, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
Added
- A tutorial has been added, explaining the basic mechanics. You still have to figure out how to beat the bosses by yourself.
- Each stage has a time limit of 5 minutes, after this time the stage starts to fall apart.
Changed
- The skill menu has been reworked and is no longer part of the pause menu, but you can still access it from there or with the hotkey ‘T’.
- You cannot loose anymore by loosing all hex tiles.
- Destructors do not attack your playing self if the purified hex percentage is lower than 50 %.
- The skill interacting with the hex loss has been replaced.
- Because there is a tutorial, the hints have been removed.
- The same biome cannot appear twice in a row.
- Forest, swamp and tundra start smaller.
Fixed
- Minor bugs with save games have been fixed.
- Animation issues have been fixed.
