If you’re looking for the perfect guide to find some information on the best crops to invest in each season, you’ve come to the right place!
序章
Do you play Stardew Valley? ✔️ Are you reading this guide because you want to become rich in a small indie farming game? ✔️ Look no further my friend, I’ve complied a list of the best cash crops you can exploit in Stardew Valley through my own personal efforts and extensive research! Please note that this guide does not take into consideration your farming or foraging level, nor does it consider any buffs you receive from eating foods that increase your farming level. When researching how much profit you may make from a certain crop in this guide, you should keep in mind the higher your farming level is the more profit you may possibly make from each crop overall. Happy farming!
Best Crops for Spring
Top Three:
- イチゴ – Special Buy
- ダイオウ – Special Buy
- じゃがいも – Pierre’s Shop
The absolute best crop you can plant in Spring by a long shot are strawberries. This is a specially bought crop that you will only be able to purchase on Day 13 of Spring from the Egg Festival for 100 a pop and sell back for a base value of 120g or 132g with the Tiller profession. This is a great choice of crop for farmers in their first value and will earn you a lot more gold if you store the strawberries after harvest and wait to put them in kegs to increase their value, Strawberry Wine sells for 360g each and can also be sold for even more at 504g a pop with the Artisan profession! If that still has not convinced you to invest in Strawberries for Spring, I’ve gone ahead and done the math if you just buy 15 Strawberry Seeds from the Egg Festival Shop. Planting only 15 strawberry seeds from the Festival will cost you 1500 金, which will feel like a lot in your first season if you were struggling to make some money at first but hear me out I promise you’ll make it all back and more by the end of the season! Then after planting these 15 種子, you’ll have to make sure to keep watering them every day so they do not miss a day of growth, this will ensure your money does not go to waste. If you can manage all of that, by the end of the season you will have made 2,656.22 gold in profit which is equivalent to 166.01g/day! And that’s not even accounting for how much profit you’d make if you kegged the strawberries, listen to this alright? Saving your strawberries until you have some kegs going in your farm will yield you 9,516 gold in profit! That’s a huge increase from selling your produce raw, at a whopping 594.75g/day. My advice for new farmers starting their first farm in Spring is to save your money for the 13th day when the Egg Festival begins, I promise it’ll be worth your while to buy even a couple strawberries seeds for your farm and you’ll certainly make your money back by the end of the season as planting your strawberry seeds at day 13 または 14 will yield you two full harvests to hopefully fill your pockets come round your second season, 夏!
Now if you decide not to go for Strawberries, you can always harvest Potatoes or Rhubarb if you have access to the Oasis shop in the desert. Potatoes can be a very lucrative crop to invest in since they have a high chance of yielding multiple potatoes from one seed, increasing your profits by a considerable amount than what you invested into the seeds.Potatoes sell for quite a bit compared to the other crops Pierre has to offer in Spring at 80g a pop at base value, and can be bought for a cool 50g per potato seed. Using the same scenario with the Strawberries, I’ve done the math for you with only 15 potato seeds to compare how much profit you might make off these spuds. Assuming you were going to buy 15 seeds on day 5 after selling your free Parsnip seeds, this would cost you about 750 in gold, and yield 2,619.02 gold in profit which is equal to 109.13g/day. また, if you were to put your potatoes in kegs as you would with strawberries you’d make 7,470 gold in profits or 311.25g/day. That’s not a bad turn around but in no way compares to the profit you’d get from buying plenty of Strawberries instead!
Best Crops for Summer
Top Three:
- スターフルーツ – Special Buy
- ブルーベリー – Pierre’s Shop
- 赤キャベツ – Pierre’s Shop (Year Two)
The best crop you could possibly invest in Summer has to be Starfruit by a mile, it’s an expensive crop that can only be bought in The Oasis (found in the desert) but sells for 750g gold a pop and can be bought for 300 gold per seed. It’s an expensive crop to invest in but makes it all worth it after you sell your first batch of Starfruit Wine, which is currently the highest selling wine made from kegs in Stardew Valley. Purchasing just 15 Starfruit Seeds would run you a costly 4500 gold to start but will eventually make you 6,740.20 gold in profit after 13 very long days if you sold the fruit raw at base value which is equivalent to 481.44g/day! Now if you were to invest in turning your Starfruit in wine, you would make an insane 27,750 gold in profit or 1,982.14g/day. That’s a successful harvest if I’ve ever seen one!Now Starfruit isn’t the easiest crop to achieve early on in the game, so it would make sense for new farmers to invest in Blueberries or even Red Cabbage if you wait to visit the desert until after your second year. Blueberries are a very good crop in their own because they can be bought from Pierre for 80g a seed and have a return value of 50g a pop, which will seem confusing as first but remember they are guaranteed to yield at least 3 blueberries a seed, with a small chance of producing even more than that! So really, that 50g translates roughly to 150g per seed.
Planting 15 blueberry seeds will cost you 1200 gold and has a return of 1,298.90 gold in profit or 92.78g/day. That’s not a bad harvest for only one round of Blueberry seeds, and you can earn more profit by the end of Summer if you continue to replant your blueberries every 13 日.You can increase your profits if you place your blueberries in kegs, this isn’t the best crop you can use for kegs but still will grant you 5,550 gold in profit (396.43g/day) Not a bad amount of gold for only one batch, especially in your first Summer!
Best Crops for Fall
Top Three:
- スイートジェムベリー – Special Buy
- クランベリー – Pierre’s Shop
- カボチャ – Pierre’s Shop
An expensive crop that can only be bought by chance two days of the week from the Traveling Merchant is known as the Sweet Gem Berry. This crop is grown from rare seeds that take 24 成長する日々 (despite the description telling you it will take all season) and yields profits so large I have to take a double take every time I sell my Sweet Gem Berries at the end of the season. 始めるには, you will have to invest 1000 gold per seed, making this one of the most expensive seeds to purchase in Stardew Valley and you will have to continue watering the whole season to ensure you don’t miss out on your one harvest you get for the season. Because of how difficult it is to obtain multiple quantities of this seed, I’m only going to use 5 Rare Seeds as my hypothetical for this example. Purchasing 5 Rare Seeds from the Travelling Merchant will cost you 5000 gold but eventually yields a return of just shy of 12,000 金, precisely 11,987.58 金. Which translate to 428.13g/day, making this a very valuable and profitable crop to invest into. This crop can not be put into kegs to increase the value unfortunately, but the numbers show it doesn’t need to be to still consider this a very profitable crop in the Fall.
しかし, if obtaining Rare Seeds isn’t possible for you by Fall or they just aren’t your thing you can still make plenty of money from Cranberries or Pumpkins, whichever floats your boat. Cranberries can be purchased from Pierre for 240 gold a pop, and sell for a base value of 75 それぞれゴールド. They are also another crop that produces multiple per harvest, so really this should translate to at least 150 gold per harvest with a 10% chance of producing more than 2 同じように. This still doesn’t really make a profit but trust me, cranberries continue to product every five days after they have fully grown so you are sure to make your money back and a little spending cash by the end of the season in time for winter!By planting 15 cranberries on your first day of Fall, you will make 8,952 gold in profit which translate to 319.75g/day. This is a decent amount of gold that you can make from just 15 cranberries and you can even turn them into wine for more profit! Cranberry wine sells for 75 gold a pop so selling all of the cranberries you’ve harvested by the end of the season should yield 30,150 gold in total or 1,076.79g/day. 悪くない!
