How to Read this Guide

Did you know that if you have the right people in your party during a character’s chapter, a cutscene will play? Travel banter is one of the only ways we actually see the 8 main characters interact with each other. You can first see travel banter during Chapter 2 of a character’s storyline. The trick is, you have to have both party members in your party at the right time. This guide is to inform you who to have and when to have them.

The map will show you where each character’s chapter begins. Once you enter the town with that character, the chapter may begin. Travel banter can happen anytime between that and after you beat the boss of the chapter. It most often takes place between cutscenes or when entering a new area. There is travel banter for every combination of characters in every chapter, and this guide will show you how to view them all!

This guide is spoiler-free. Follow the instructions about who to have in your party and when. If the instructions say “Immediately”, then go directly back to the pub, avoiding the area where the next cutscene takes place. If multiple characters are listed, you can switch as soon as you see the first character’s travel banter or take both with you for that section of the story. If your party configuration allows, you can do multiple steps at a time. This guide is written as if you have one character locked in place because you haven’t completed their last chapter yet.

Ophelia Chapter 2

• Enter town with Cyrus そして Alfyn
• Immediately switch for Primrose
• Switch for Tressa, それから H’aanit
• 取る Therion to the dungeon
• Switch for Olberic before you enter the church

Cyrus Chapter 2

• Enter town with Ophilia

Tressa Chapter 2

Alfyn Chapter 2

• Enter town with H’aanit
• Switch for Olberic, それから Cyrus, それから Tressa

• Immediately after the boss, switch for Ophilia そして Primrose

Therion Chapter 2

• Start the chapter with Tressa in the party
• Immediately switch for Olberic そして Primrose
• Switch for H’aanit, それから Alfyn, それから Cyrus
• 取る Ophilia with you into the dungeon

H’aanit Chapter 2

• Enter town with Cyrus
• Switch for Primrose, それから Tressa
• Leave town with Therion
• Head back to town to take Olberic to the dungeon
• Switch for Ophilia と Alfyn

• Enter town with Tressa そして H’aanit

Cyrus Chapter 3

Tressa Chapter 3

• Immediately leave town to switch for Olberic そして Cyrus

Olberic Chapter 3

Primrose Chapter 3

• Enter with Tressa そして Cyrus そして Ophilia (If one of these three is not your leader, head into the pub and switch, あなたも’ll see the scene)
• Switch for Olberic そして Therion
• 取る Alfyn そして H’aanit to the boss

Alfyn Chapter 3

• から始める Tressa そして Therion そして Ophilia (If you can’t fit all four of these characters in your party, fast travel to another town to switch, then come back and you’ll see the scene)
• Switch for Cyrus, それから Primrose, それから H’aanit, それから Olberic

Therion Chapter 3

• Enter town with Tressa そして Cyrus
• Switch for H’aanit
• 取る Primrose そして Alfyn out of town
• Immediately warp back to town to switch for Ophilia そして Olberic, then go back to where you were

H’aanit Chapter 3

• Enter with Ophilia
• Switch for Therion, それから Cyrus
• 取る Tressa out of town
• Go back to town and take Olberic そして Primrose to the boss
• Switch for Alfyn

章 4

Ophilia Chapter 4

• Enter with Therion
• Switch for Primrose そして H’aanit そして Tressa そして Alfyn (It is impossible, so far as I can tell, for all four conversations to be viewed at once since fast travel is locked. Pick your favorite three or reload your save.)
• After the next scene, go straight to the tavern and switch for Olberic そして Cyrus. Their banter will appear immediately.

Cyrus Chapter 4

• Enter with H’aanit
• Switch for Therion そして Alfyn
• Enter the dungeon with Primrose そして Ophilia
• Leave and take Olberic そして Tressa into the dungeon

Tressa Chapter 4

• Enter with Cyrus そして Ophilia
• Switch for Therion そして H’aanit
• Switch for Alfyn
• 取る Olberic into the dungeon
• 取る Primrose to the boss

Olberic Chapter 4

• Enter with Cyrus そして Primrose
• Switch for Ophilia そして Alfyn without entering the town square
• Switch for Therion
• Enter the dungeon with H’aanit
• 取る Tressa most of the way through the dungeon (You will be able to switch her out right before the boss)

Primrose Chapter 4

• Enter with Cyrus そして Therion
• Switch for Tressa そして Ophilia
• 取る Olberic そして Alfyn そして H’aanit into the dungeon (できれば’t get all three, Olberic goes first. Get his, then switch for the other two.)

Alfyn Chapter 4

• Enter town with Tressa そして Cyrus
• Go to another town to switch for Primrose
• Switch for Olberic そして Ophilia
• Switch for Therion, それから H’aanit

Therion Chapter 4

• Enter with Tressa そして Alfyn
• Switch for Olberic そして Ophilia
• Switch for H’aanit そして Cyrus そして Primrose before stealing (If you can’t fit them all, put in H’aanit 初め, advance until you are dressed normally again, then go back to the pub and get the other two)

H’aanit Chapter 4

• Enter with Tressa そして Cyrus
• Switch for Ophilia そして Olberic そして Therion (できれば’t get all three, teleport to another town after seeing Ophilia’s)
• Switch for Alfyn そして Primrose before speaking with the woman
