Love Esquire – Jealousy Scene Triggers Guide

This guide discusses how to trigger the Jealousy Scenes between the Squire and two of the romance targets.

You like your harems, えー, 従者? 良い, most women wouldn’t like you talking to another girl while you should be focusing on your main girl. With one exception, the conquerable characters in this game feel the same way.

Four things of note before we start talking about Jealousy Scenes:

1. It’s best done in New Game + モード, as you can see the miniature bubbles (!) there to help you know when you can play the scene.
2. Have a dedicated Save File for Month 1 日 5 for time-saving purposes. (More on this topic later)
3. In a single 120-day game, just go for two girls at a time so that you can keep track of the Debug Tool and have less code to sift through.
4. 設定:
   • Turn on that Debug Tool, or I’ll make you run 10 laps ON THE DOUBLE.
   • OPTIONS MENU-> SHOW DEBUG INFO <-ON->

Jealousy Trigger 1

ゲーム:

The Romance choices that you make leading up to the Jealousy Scenes don’t matter. Choose good or bad choices depending on what you want to pursue for that ending (if you’re going for a specific ending).

Who gets the Jealousy Scene named after whom feels kind of arbitrary, but it does seem to follow a pattern of whoever has the highest score by the end of Arc 2 シーン 2 (at the most) gets the Jealousy Scene named after her.

Arbitrary Explanation of TRIGGER 1:

Here are three examples of what I mean by kind of arbitrary as to WHEN things happen:

• If Amy/Vel, whoever completes Arc 2 シーン 1 (henceforth 2-1) first gets the jealousy scene named after her once both reach 2-2.
• If Vel/Beatrice, by the time the girls reach 2-2, whoever is ahead in points gets the jealousy scene.
• If Amy/Beatrice, if both are at 2-1, and Amy is ahead, Amy gets the scene. 対照的に, if after 2-1, Beatrice is ahead, then after the first set of special scenes while Beatrice is still ahead, Beatrice gets the Jealousy Scene. Another possible reason for the ambiguity is that Amy’s Second Major Romance Choice happens during 2-1, while the other 4 girls’ Second Major Romance Choice happens during 2-2.TRIGGER 1: I’d say as a general rule, get the girl you want to 2-2 初め, その後, bring your second girl up from Arc 1 シーン 4 まで 2-1 または 2-2. それから, your first girl *should* get the Jealousy Scene named after her the very next day, especially if the first girl has more points than the second girl. How long does the Jealousy Scene stay there? Until you reach the next break point of either character, it should probably stay, so try not to click on numbered special scenes or Arc scenes, instead opting for the little (!) when the Debug Tool tells you. This can take a few weeks (Kamala’s I-B took a dreadfully long time to activate).

Take note of the following from the Debug Tool:

Kamala’s First Jealousy Scene might take a while to trigger. Try waiting until the next month if she isn’t at the Farmhouse Exterior at night (6 PM/1800), which is when she pops up at the farm for that scene. Do not interact with either girl until the scene triggers, so instead just keep resting and moving time forward until 6 PM/1800 until she shows up at the farm at night with her little speech bubble (!) 地図上で.

Here is an example of what the Debug Tool shows at the end of Vel’s Arc 2 シーン 2 when the Jealousy Scene is unlocked:

同じく, Kamala has special Debug text once Kamala reaches the end of Arc 2 シーン 2.

注記: の “1” indicates binary code. If it had read a :0 最後に, ある 0 indicates that the player cannot view the scene while a :1 allows it…typical if/else if the programmer speak.

I have observed the Debug Tool stating “WILL_PLAY_JEALOUSY_VEL_SCENE1:0” while playing the second Jealousy Scene, and further, on down stating “WILL_PLAY_JEALOUSY_VEL_SCENE2:1” I digress.

Go to the location specified by the Debugger. 例えば, Vel’s scene asks you to go to the Outskirts in the bottom left of the map:

Click on Ye specified Fair Maiden (in this instance, Vel):

If you did it correctly, the scene will play, and something like this will be in your Debug Toolbox:

ノート: There is no point penalty for obtaining the first Jealousy Scene.

If this is your first time making a girl jealous, you will obtain the “Naughty Squire” 成果

Kamala’s I-B is done at the Farmhouse Exterior at night. Some have specific places that you have to be while other Jealousy Scenes merely suggest you to talk to the jealous woman.

Jealousy Trigger 2

The girl with the most points (Jealousy 1’s named girl specifically), needs to be in Arc 3. The day after your main girl makes her 3rd, major, Romance Choice, the Second Jealousy Scene triggers with your Girl #2 from the first Jealousy Scene.

Jealousy Scene 2 MUST BE TRIGGERED in the same 120-day game as in the first Jealousy Scene. (つまり: previous NG+ has no effect on Jealousy Scene #2 triggering, and the second scene won’t trigger unless the first scene was triggered in the same NG+.)

TLDR: Same 2 girls, same 120-day game. とてもシンプルです.

Let’s say the pairing is Kamala x NOT Beatrice. When you wake up and open the Debug Tool, it would display like this:

この例では, Kamala is clearly with Giselle, who is clearly NOT Beatrice.

ともかく, 以前のように, go to the location (the Outskirts) as directed by the Debug Tool after dark (6 PM/1800).

“Relationship with [GRILL] has increased by -200 Points.” Gotta love those Foremans.

5 の 6 Unique Jealousy Scenes are thus, including Kamala x NOT Beatrice.

Non-negotiable. You’ve lost those 200 ポイント. ごめん. No takebacks. 大変な運. Sob sob sob.

The quickest way to get back those points is to give her one of the rare items: the Philosopher’s Stone (犬), the Firebird Feather (引き出し), or the Lady of the Lake Fish (湖) to replace those lost 200 ポイント.

また, note in the Debugger:

“WILL_PLAY_JEALOUSY_KAMALA_SCENE 2-A: 1” like previously mentioned.

の :1 indicates binary code. :0 means the player cannot view the scene while :1 allows it.

The one pairing of the Jealousy Scene 2 that does not have a penalty is Jealousy Kamala 2-B.

With Jealousy Kamala 2-B, Beatrice AND Kamala each get an increase of 200 ポイント (最大).

Achievements About Jealousy

“Naughty Squire” 成果:

Activate/Watch any first Jealousy Scene during your playthroughs.

“U Jeally” 成果:

The description for this achievement is actually misleading.

You MIGHT think that it meant:

Vel x Giselle, Vel x Amy, Vel x Beatrice, Vel x Kamala,
Giselle x Amy, Giselle x Vel, Giselle x Beatrice, Giselle x Kamala,
Beatrice x Amy, Beatrice x Vel, Beatrice x Giselle, Beatrice x Kamala,
Kamala x Giselle, Kamala x Vel, Kamala x Beatrice, Kamala x Amy

That’s a total of Forty individual Jealousy Scenes or 2 sets of 20.

ありがたいことに, that is simply not what the achievement requires.

エイミー, Vel, ベアトリス, and Giselle have one unique set of Jealousy Scenes with minor differences depending on the name of the girl and their job/profession.

Kamala, しかし, has TWO unique sets of Jealousy Scenes.
Kamala x Beatrice and Kamala x NOT Beatrice

言い換えると, just do one set each of 1) エイミー, 2) Vel, 3) ベアトリス, 4) Giselle…その後 5) Kamala x NOT Beatrice and 6) Kamala x Beatrice

for a grand total of SIX (6) different/unique Jealousy Scenes, thus satisfying the requirement to obtain “U Jelly”.

TL;博士: just do one pair of Jealousy Scenes each of 1) エイミー, 2) Vel, 3) ベアトリス
4) Giselle…その後 5) Kamala x NOT Beatrice and 6) Kamala x Beatrice

Doing the unique pairing of Kamala x Beatrice earns you the following achievement:

After doing both scenes for “The Dance of Three Souls” 成果, the Kamala x Beatrice pairing uniquely gives you +200 ポイント (最大) each to both Beatrice first and then the same +200 ポイント (最大) to Kamala (はい, その順序で–It confused me at first, as this was a Kamala scene). There is no penalty for this one single pairing of women. All other pairings penalize you -200 points except for this one.

Time-Saver Ideas

For those of you who don’t want to complete the game six additional times (if you have all other achievements), I initially mentioned having that designated save file for Month 1 日 5.
The moment that you have obtained one complete set (Jealousy 1 と 2) of any one girl, reload that save file. You can obtain Jealousy Scene 1 easily by Month 1 日 22 in any New Game +. Jealousy Scene 2 can be done sometime in Arc 3. Make sure to keep a close eye on that Debug Tool.

If you haven’t completed a certain ending, have your main GRILL OR your SUB GRILL (as the devs called it in the Debugger) haha, then feel free to finish off as much time as you need to obtain a Love/Friendship/Bad Ending for your chosen woman.
