This guide will show you some of the basic things that you should know to beat the AI in Final Assault. 加えて, you will also be getting some tips to increase your chance of winning in every match.
基本
Welcome new player! I just discovered this gem of a game pretty recently and after seeing there was no general guide, thought I’d whip something up quick.
So let’s start off with the basics:
お金
- You earn money automatically over time. If you look at your tablet you’ll see it rising on its own. When you have enough money to unlock a tier (padlock), it’ll make a certain sound to alert you.
- Full Money Bar: You’ll hear a louder special chime when your bar is completely full. It’s critical you buy SOMETHING at that point, さもないと, you can’t make any more money. The bar just fills out, それで終わりです. If it’s full and you’re not spending it’s a waste, you’ll make no more money. So if you hear that chime, buy something off the tablet immediately!
- Money Drops: There are red X’s on the map where a cargo plane will randomly drop a box. This box is a decent chunk of money. 分からない場合, the AI will immediately proceed to spend that money on a bunch of tanks, 等. to attack you with. Some folks have said it’s critical to get the money box, I find playing against even the hardest AI that it’s not essential. It’s definitely easier if you get a few of those drops though.
- Spend before money picks up: A key bit regarding the money cargo drops on red X’s – make sure that you’ve spent all your money before your unit touches the box to pick it up. Because if you already have a nearly full bar, it’ll only just fill up your bar. Later the boxes can pretty much fill an ENTIRE money bar on your tablet. So again, before you pick it up – quickly buy a few things to get your money bar down to at least $7. When you hit the box, the money bar will jump at least halfway up, and 3/4th the way up towards the end of the match.
Troop Flow
- You don’t control the soldiers/troops. They automatically go into the ‘flow’ of those green arrows. NOW, you can add additional troop trucks where ever you want, but that just means those troops that come out will start out at another location. So the troop trucks are handy to ‘advance/push your troops’, so they ‘spawn’ closer to the enemy base as you progress in-game.
- You’ll want as many troops storming down those lanes as possible. それで, 一般的に, it’s beneficial to get the troop trucks out soon and actually within your base, so towers are protecting them.
- Depending on which ‘lane’ the truck is closer to (in your base), that’s which lane the troops will flow into. You may find sooner or later that you want to concentrate more troop trucks on one lane if you have sufficient protection in your base against the other. The more troops you can amass in one lane, より良い.
Other Unit Flow
- For any unit you can ‘build/drop’ from your tablet, you have complete control over them.
- If you move them up into the green arrow ‘flow’, they’ll automatically move forward with the troops up until a) they’re stopped/destroyed or b) they successfully get past the enemy base towers and ultimately defeat the base.
- At any point, you can point to the unit and move it out of the flow to station the unit at a specific spot. All units will automatically fire on an enemy when in range.
- 重要なことに, MANY if not most units can shoot while moving. That’s actually essential if you have a jeep that you’d like to keep alive longer than usual. Like when circling around artillery for example, so that it can’t hit you.
Plane Control
- Planes require the most hands-on attention. They automatically will attack any close enemy plane and if not careful, the enemy plane can lead your plane back to their base where the AA guns will quickly be taken them out. 興味深いことに, you can also use this behavior to lead the AI planes back into YOUR AA base guns. It works about 50 に 60% 当時の.
- The cheap ‘regular’ planes are VERY effective at taking out enemy troops. Just point to select one and while holding your trigger button, drag/drawdown and over the ground right where the troops are. It’ll turn to red arrows on the group where your plane will strafe attack the enemy troops.
- Don’t bother to attempt to attack non-troops with the cheap ‘regular’ planes – they’re for attacking troops and defending against enemy planes.
- For attacking non-troop units, the middle tier and top tier planes (where you have to unlock padlocks to access) are great for attacking enemy units. The process is the same, where you point to select a plane, then click the trigger button and drag down and over the enemy unit(s) you’d like to attack. Sometimes these middle-tier planes need to be out a ways to draw a good set of red arrows over the unit. You can’t typically just drop straight down on it (unless you’re that dive bomber unit).
- Avoid AA (anti-air) guns with your planes if possible! They will destroy your planes in an instant. 逆に, build your own mobile AA trucks ASAP and you’ll easily ‘control the skies’.

Unit Placement
- Artillery doesn’t need a line of sight. 実際には, it’s best to ‘hide’ them behind some building, out of sight from enemy tanks moving in the ‘flow’ of the road. They can strike from great distances too.
- If you don’t have Artillery at the ready, you can be sure the enemy AI will send some, at which point it’s too late. If you tried to position artillery in time to take shots at the enemy AI artillery, your artillery will get blown up first while it’s getting into position.
- If you have a jeep or motorcycle handy, you can send them after artillery (assuming no troops nearby to protect it), and just draw a circle path around the enemy artillery, so that your unit is constantly moving and shooting at it. It won’t be able to turn and/or shoot fast enough to get it.
- You’ll want AA (anti-air) units on the field as soon as possible! As soon as you unlock tier-three, get at least one AA unit and up towards the front of your base (yet still inside). 通常, with most maps, the base AA guns are farther back, and so you’ll want an AA unit upfront to protect any artillery you have up there inside your enemy base wall. Ideally more than one AA upfront.
- As you advance your army, by positioning units outside the flow (like artillery, AA, tanks to protect those, 等) – make sure to protect that advancement against air (with AA) and ground units making a run at your artillery (with tanks or more advanced units).
- Move the troop trucks out of your base and up as you ‘push’ forward closer to the enemy base. 見る #5 on protecting your positioning of units, out of the flow; but you also want the troop trucks closer to enemy base when the lines are secured farther upfront so that the troops don’t have farther to walk in the ‘flow’. The ‘spawn closer to enemy base’ 基本的に.
- Don’t forget about advanced enemy units, make sure you are maxing out the number of those heading down the path. Those include bazooka, mortar, and para-shooting troop planes. いつものように, they will head down the path they are closest to. I typically just have the troop planes all in my base, protected by base AA games, most of the game; dropping troops by ONE of the paths to concentrate most of the troops).
- As the match advances, 最終的に, you’ll want to concentrate most of your troops on one of the paths, as far forward near the enemy base as possible.
Air Control
The planes are the most finicky and hardest to control unit in the game (because they often ‘run off’ into enemy AA gunfire). しかし, they’re also the most rewarding, and I think the most FUN to use. Basics on plane control can be found in the ‘The Basics’ section above. Below are some more advanced moves and strategies.
- Patrol Routes: To make sure your plane won’t chase an enemy plane, you can set them on ‘patrol’. これをする, select the plane while clicking the trigger button and draw a lasso (a circle, unending line that’s connected). If you connected the line together, it’ll change color a bit and look like it’s moving a bit (via the moving dot colors).
- Attack Routes: Using the circle/lasso – or just connecting one end of the route to the other – アプローチ, you can actually set a repeating attack pattern for ground attacks! Just do the usual, click the trigger button and select plane, and then draw an attack path down to the ground, but then up and connect to where you started. That plane will now repeatedly attack that area of the ground until you draw a new path for it!
注記: The plane in that attack pattern will not defend itself from other planes – it will ignore them and continue attacking.
- Midtier/Tier3 Planes are almost OP. They’re amazing. Especially the lady character on the Allies/American side (ごめん, I forget the character name). The plane you unlock at the third tier, that plane is outstanding! If you have a column of tanks coming, you can take that plane and drawdown to the ground and over the tanks (赤い矢印), and it’ll take out more than half the health of ALL the tanks under the red attack arrow! Then just do another strafing run the other way, and you’ve taken them all out. This plane can one-shot enemy artillery! There is a near-equivalent plane on the German side. そしてもちろん, you could use the Tier 4 bomber plane, but that thing is slow in comparison. I like the bomber, it’s fun, but the tier3 plane is a better balance of speed and damage.
- 最後に, can’t say it enough, get AA units out ASAP to help defend your planes. Especially defend your sort-of expensive and awesome tier3 planes. TheTier4 AA tank-like unit for the Allies lady is awesome. It can take seemingly 3 times as much damage as the regular AA unit, plus it can dish out SERIOUS damage to regular enemy tanks. Spam those four super AA tanks, and you will dominate along with your planes.
