Can’t seem to collect those last bits of audio evidence? Struggling to take that elusive ghost photo? Can’t find an archive note? Consider giving this guide a read then. In it, general and in-depth tips will be given on to how to complete these tasks so you can fully investigate all the ghosts of Evergreen Lane. Lore for each ghost will be spoiled so read everything at your own desecration.
Introduction to Evergreen Lane
Next to Black Ridge Woods, an old farmhouse sits along Evergreen Lane. 長年にわたって, the farmhouse has lost its original farm property and has been renovated numerous times to take on a more modern appearance. The Wentz family has moved into this quaint farmhouse only to find strange occurrences happening within their first year of living there. Tammy Wentz, the mother and wife, reaches out to you, Conrad Stevenson, to prove or debunk these occurrences as paranormal.
Planning Your Investigations
As funny as it is to charge into your first case with the intention to rile up ghosts, fully investigating this house requires a bit of planning. Read through Tammy’s email carefully, and take note where strange occurrences are happening. Each ghost haunts a certain section of the house and once you figure out where each ghost haunts, you’ll be able to collect all the evidence (including the archive note) in that particular area.
In Tammy’s email, the following locations are mentioned to have paranormal activity…
- Upstairs living area
- ガレージ
- Children’s room (上の階)
- 台所
For your first few investigations, you’ll notice paranormal activity occur in these listed areas if you select the notes from Tammy’s email associated with it prior to starting the investigation. Don’t rush around the house, frantically looking for evidence. ほとんどの場合、, you must patiently wait in a particular room for a few minutes for the ghost to make sounds or manifest before you. After finding at least one piece of audio evidence, the ghost’s name will appear in their audio archives. Once you get a mental layout where each ghost can be found, that’s when you can begin more in depth investigations.
General Tips for Collecting All Evidence
Select the Right Notes Prior to an Investigation
If you’re struggling to collect a piece of audio evidence or snap a photo, chances are you don’t have all the right notes selected. 私の経験から言うと, the game progress locks you from fully collecting audio if not all the notes are selected. These notes come from Tammy’s email and archive notes you find throughout your investigations.
Find All the Archive Notes
Three out of the four ghosts found in Evergreen Lane have a archive note associated them. If you fail to collect these archive notes, you will not be able to fully investigate the ghost it’s associated with. One archive note randomly spawns within the house during a random investigation after completing your initial investigation. They can be found on the floor within rooms or in closets as small sheets of paper. If you’ve run around the house, but fail to spot a archive note, leave the investigation and start a new one. Odds are that no archive note has spawned within the house for that investigation. Pay close attention where you see and hear certain ghosts. Each archive notes will be found in the room(s) the ghost it’s associated with haunts.
Understand How Ghosts Behave
Take a moment to read about the different types of ghost you’ll becoming across on your investigation. This will help you collect EMF, temperatures, EVPs, and photos at the right time. It will also prevent you from wasting your time asking EVP questions to a ghost that’s incapable of responding back to you. Take the poltergeist for example, it gives off unusual temperatures before performing an action and EMF spikes afterwards. This means you’ll be collecting temperatures first, audio/photos seconds, and EMF last when it throws an item. The book also notes that poltergeist don’t respond to EVP questions so it be a waste of your time to sit their room and attempt to.
Be Patient
Don’t be constantly running around the entire house looking for a piece of evidence. Try to focus on a single ghost per investigation and wait in the rooms they specifically haunt to trigger audio and/or manifestations. I’ve had to wait a room for a few minutes to collect the final audio for most of the ghost here.
The Ghost in the Kitchen *Spoilers*
バックグラウンド
The Ghost in the Kitchen is most likely the easiest ghost to complete since it has no archive notes associated with it and is active primarily in one room. If you have enough patience, you could theoretically complete the ghost within your first investigation. It’s a playful poltergeist that’s noted to throw items around in the kitchen. Tammy notes in her email that the poltergeist creates a “ruckus” and visibly threw a jam jar on the floor once only for the mess to mysteriously disappear once she grabbed a broom to clean it up.

Investigation
名前が示すように, this poltergeist is found within the kitchen. To collect everything, it’s best to patiently wait for events to happen in there. You will hear the poltergeist throw pans, silverware, plates, and even hear the floorboard creak near you. Make sure to record these sounds with your recorder to collect audio evidence. Collecting the EMF, temperatures, and photos may be a bit tricky at first, but it’s easy to do once you understand where the poltergeist throws stuff. 初め, find a temperature drop and wait for Conrad to make note of it in his notes. 2番, quickly pull out your recorder and press record once you hear a sound. If you see an item get tossed, quickly toggle (don’t wait for the recorder to finish recording) to your camera and take a photo (Conrad will say something about poltergeist activity if you successfully take a photo) before switching to your EMF reader to collect EMF evidence.
There are two potential photos of the poltergeist that can be taken…
写真 #1
The photo can be taken after the poltergeist throws a few plates from a china cabinet onto the floor.
写真 #2
This photo can be taken after the poltergeist throws a blue cup onto the ground from the table.
Shadowy Screamer *Spoilers*
バックグラウンド
A good ghost to help new ghost hunters understand the basic mechanic of the game would be the Shadowy Screamer. Tammy describes the entity with a “sinister disembodied voice,” and notes seeing shadows from the corner of her eye in her email. After finding the archive note, you find out that the Shadowy Screamer was William Carter when he was alive. William was the original owner and builder of the house (owning it from 1902 – 1932) and had several children with his wife, Alice Carter. It’s confirmed from a different archive note that he has at least two children named Elizabeth and Thomas Carter that died from acute pulmonary tuberculosis. During their illness, a police report from July 18, 1912 notes that William was extremely frustrated with the lack of successful treatment for his children. He became so frustrated that he violently lashed out at a doctor known as Dr. Willis with a bottle. Losing his children to the disease most likely left him unfulfilled in the afterlife, wandering around the house still seeking a way to have saved his children.

InvestigationThe Shadowy Screamer easily fits the second category of Intelligent Ghosts: Shadow People. You’ll see him wander the halls of the house as a shadowy man, mainly going between the basement, main floor bathroom, living room, and parts of the kitchen. しかし, if you wish to focus solely on the Shadowy Screamer without too much disruptions from the Ghost in the Kitchen stay in the main floor bathroom or basement. Like most Shadow People, the Shadowy Screamer is very photogenic and often manifests before the player for many photo opportunities. しかし, be prepared for him to scream, “HELP ME,” if you get too close. Finding temperatures and EMF for this ghost is fairly easy as long as you’re in the area the entity is. The only tricky part of investigating the Shadowy Screamer is collecting all the audio. Excluding when he screams at you, the rest of his audio are very faint whispers so listen very carefully for them.

Archive Notes
The archive note associated with the Shadowy Screamer is deed for the land signed on October 18, 1902 by William Carter. It is usually found on the basement floor, but may appear within the main bathroom or the closet within it.
Skipping Child *Spoilers*
バックグラウンド
The Skipping Child is a residual ghost who merrily skips around in the upstairs rooms of the house. Tammy notes her children having an imaginary friend of a child around their age after moving into their new rooms upstairs, and hearing footsteps from upstairs while she was downstairs. Unlike the other ghosts in the house, the Skipping Child seems blissful unaware of what’s happening around her and is merely reliving a moment of her life where she’s happily skipping around. In her archive note, you find the photo of a little girl that Conrad notes seems happy. You also unlock a death certificate that reveals a girl named Elizabeth Carter died with her older brother, Thomas Carter, on August 9 1912 to acute pulmonary tuberculosis. An audio evidence you can collect throughout your investigation, implies she potentially developed the disease while she was in 3rd grade.

Investigation
The Skipping Child can be investigated in all the rooms upstairs. Temperatures and EMF are easily collected once you find the areas she’s wandering in. Her audio evidence consists of giggling, whispering, coughing, and labored breathing. These audio cues take a little more time than the Shadowy Screamer to trigger so patiently wait in a room for a few minutes before marching off to a different room. The most tricky evidence to collect is the photo since she appears very translucent and skips randomly between different rooms. The best way to capture a photo is to wait in the hallway or upstairs living room until she manifests before you. She usually manifests in one of the rooms once you hear her skipping.

G.I. Ghost *Spoilers*
バックグラウンド
One of the most tragic fates of the house, the G.I. Ghost is an Intelligent that’s capable of answering questions asked by Conrad. He seems to be the most aware out of all the ghost in the house, and has the most audio evidence to collect. After finding his archive note, it’s discovered that he is Robert Connor, a military veteran who struggled immensely from his depression and PTSD that he developed after his service fighting in an unnamed war. This lead to alcoholism (implied by Louise in the police report) that further prevented him from finding a stable job and living a normal life once he returned home. He lived with his mother, Louise Connor, and his father, Paul Connor, who owned the house from 1955 に 1983. Despite his parents best attempts to console him, Robert ended up hanging himself in the garage where he and his father spent time together on September 9, 1961 and died at the age of 37. His parents were devastated upon the discovery of his corpse, and were in a state of shock and guilt. Considering that some of Robert’s happiest memories were of his family and that his suicide was a sudden death, it’s no surprise that he ended up as an Intelligent

Investigation
The G.I. Ghost can be found in the garage that’s separate from the house. EMF and temperatures can be easily found by finding the G.I. Ghost’s location as he wanders the garage. He makes a choking sound occasionally and mutters the phrase “Why me?” しかし, he become more active if you investigate with a full set of notes. その上で, the G.I. Ghost is the only ghost where you can record EVP sessions. He will respond to four different types of questions on your EVP question list. He will not respond to a question right away, and you will have to repeat the questions several times until you can get a respond. If you don’t have all the notes selected before an investigation, you will not be able to collect all the EVP responses during it. After collecting all EVP responses, you’ll find that he is still suffering from his inner demons and still carries his love for his family into the afterlife. The G.I. Ghost photo can also be quite tricky since he won’t manifest until you’ve collected all the notes relating to him. You have a short amount of time to snap a photo of him before he disappears so have a camera ready once you hear his footsteps. He usually manifest behind the player when he appears.
