HANA Hide and Seek – Chapter 1 and 2 Completion Guide

Here’s a spoiler-free guide to help you navigate through Chapter 1 and 2 of HANA: Hide and Seek, a game developed by Catowo. This guide will provide you with the main event steps, allowing you to progress through the game. Additionally, feel free to interact with various objects in the game to enhance your gameplay experience. Since HANA was recently released on Steam, this guide is particularly useful for new players. As this is my first time creating a guide, I welcome any feedback or suggestions in the comments section. Enjoy playing HANA: Hide and Seek!

Chapter 1

Unlocking Room ‘404’

• Proceed to the opposite side of the floor (North East) and engage with the plant next to the lamp. Select ‘Take key’.
• Interact with the room labeled ‘404’ located in the South Middle of the floor.
• Moreover, you can interact with the rug twice and choose ‘Take item’ to acquire a knife. However, note that the knife does not have any use in the current chapters (1 & 2).

First Encounter & Mission: Red Head Guy

• Exit the room and enter the kitchen situated on the South West side of the floor. Interact with the person positioned in the center of the room.
• After conversing with the individual, return to room ‘404’. Interact with the crevice between the computer and the wall. Choose ‘Take item’.
• Go back to the kitchen and engage with the person you interacted with earlier to return their item.

Second Encounter & Mission: Nice Girl

• Leave the kitchen and head towards the North. You will come across a person sitting near the Women’s Restroom. Interact with the person.
• Proceed to the room labeled ‘410’ located on the South East of the floor and engage with the gleaming object on the floor. Choose ‘Pick up’.
• Return to the person sitting next to the Women’s Restroom and interact with them to return their item.

Cupcake Gift:

• Return to room ‘404’ and interact with the bed.
• Go to the kitchen and engage with the sink. Choose ‘Drink water’.
• Return to room ‘404’. Enter ‘2420’ to unlock the door, then enter the room. Hint: There is a note on the kitchen floor that says “HINT: Orange glows, green breathes, and blue keeps.” In this context, orange refers to the lamps, green refers to the plants, and blue refers to the rooms on the floor. There are 4 lamps (1 on the kitchen table and 3 in the hallway), 2 plants in the hallway, and 20 rooms (You can interact with room 420 to learn the room numbers on the floor). By interacting with room ‘404’, you can discover that orange corresponds to 2, green corresponds to 1, and blue corresponds to 3 and 4, indicating the digits to be entered. The 1st digit corresponds to green, the number of plants (2), the 2nd digit corresponds to orange, the number of lamps (4), and the 3rd and 4th digits correspond to blue, the number of rooms (20).
• Interact with the door. After the interaction, exit the room and go to the Men’s Restroom. Then, interact with the sink.

Chapter 2

Was it a Dream?

• Leave the room and proceed to the kitchen. Interact with the sink.
• Exit the kitchen and head to the Men’s Restroom. Interact with the sink.
• Return to room ‘404’ and interact with the gleaming object.
• Choose ‘Go to sleep’ or interact with the bed after leaving and re-entering the room if you selected ‘Look for some clues’.

Mr. Toilet Paper Investigator

• Save the game and interact with the door.
• Check the computer on the desk and select ‘Download’.
• Interact with ‘The Reception’ twice. Then, engage with the flowers on the desk in the main hall.
• Go to the room located on the North West side of the hall and interact with the open drawer on the left side.
• Interact with the elevator and choose ‘Yes’.

Cafe Meeting and Debate

• Interact with the seat next to the Blue Haired Person on the North East. Choose ‘Sit down’.
• Choose ‘You copied my work’.
• Choose ‘You’re not the only one I ask’.
• Choose ‘You were shy’.
• Choose ‘I don’t think metal swings should be allowed-‘.

Crying Woman in Men’s Bathroom

• Head to the Men’s Restroom in the North Middle.
• Interact with the sink on the West side of the room.Rapidly press the Space Button as fast as you can.

Reversed Goshiwon

• Interact with the room labeled with the reversed ‘404’. Enter ‘687363’ to unlock the door, then enter the room. Hint: Some rooms are interactable. Interact with the computer, bed, or spider web to obtain a number. Enter the digits based on the room numbers from least to greatest.
• Interactable room numbers: ‘401’ (6), ‘405’ (8), 408 (7), ‘412’ (3), ‘414’ (6), ‘417’ (3).
• Interact with the bed, then leave the room.
• Go to the kitchen and choose ‘Open with key’.
• Interact with the sink and choose ‘Yes’.
