Quick Guide

Note: Backup sound_en-us.cpk before doing anything.

Required Tools:

• cpk-browser
• vgmstream plugin + compatible music player
• SonicAudioTools

File Type Conversion Order: cpk -> acb -> folder of hca -> acb -> cpk

example steps (Mute annoying Ray VOs) –

Decompression + Identification

01: Unpack sound_en-us.cpk with cpk-browser.
02: Use vgmstream acb plugin to listen to acb files with Winamp.
03: Identified vo_p001.acb within « chunk_0\en-us » as Raymond’s voice file.
04: Move vo_p001.acb into SonicAudioTools folder.
05: Drag vo_p001.acb into SonicAudioTools\AcbEditor.exe to create the decompressed folder containing hca files.

Modification + Compression

06: Modify appropriate HCA file. (Winamp # – 1 = Actual hca number)
07: Once modification is complete drag the whole vo_p001 folder into SonicAudioTools\AcbEditor.exe to update vo_p001.acb
08: Open sound_en-us.cpk with cpk-browser
09: Right Click vo_p001.acb and choose Flag for Modification and choose the newly updated acb file.
10: Choose File -> Save CPK (Rebuild)
