Bloodfang Forest Full Walkthrough
Ammunition management is crucial in Bloodfang Forest, as running out of ammo can be problematic, especially when facing the final beast. Additionally, the Bloodmist event should not be overlooked.
To begin, the village serves as an ideal location to establish a base when nightfall arrives, typically between 06:00 – 07:30 pm. Fortunately, there is no nearby lair for the vampiric beasts, so wandering during the daytime is not a concern. However, it’s worth mentioning that all vampiric beast lairs allow these creatures to roam freely during the day.
The Bloodmist event occurs starting from the second night onwards. This event lasts for a few minutes and spawns additional one-hit vampiric beasts, providing a temporary relief. During this event, if the haunting master vampiric beast nearby has not been defeated, it will appear alongside the regular creatures.
Unlike previous versions of the game, finding the pickaxe is no longer necessary. It seems that the pickaxe has been removed entirely. The salt cubes, which have been available since the release of the Bloodfang Forest map, can be found in one of the mines. To access them, you will need dynamite, located at the base of the mini angel outside the mine. The remaining salt cubes are located inside the mysterious area. These salt cubes are essential for the final ritual.
Ammo, cameras, and batteries can be found in crates along the roads, both inside and outside buildings. Small bags containing ammo are also present in a building near the bottom left corner of the map. Similar to the Wendigo map, hunting deer/elf can provide meat for sustenance and be used as bait in traps.
Beware of the totems. Just like the Wendigo, the vampiric beasts utilize these totems to track your location. Turning the totems away may increase your chances of success.
The church in the village below your spawn point requires you to collect three separate parts to form an amulet. These parts can be obtained by defeating three main vampiric beasts. Each beast is found either inside a cemetery or within the mine. Exercise caution in the mine, as the beast can travel through various passages and appear in unexpected locations. Once all the pieces are collected, place them on the glowing section inside the church to obtain the curse amulet.
To access the mysterious area, you must possess the complete amulet. Upon entering, you will receive a warning: BE SILENT, DON’T MOVE. Take this warning seriously, as it will save you precious ammo. Crossbow bolts are particularly effective in this area, as they deal more damage. The beast inside the mysterious area has impaired vision, and remaining still can be advantageous. Multiple small ritual blood sacrifice sites are scattered throughout the catacombs. Make sure to complete them before proceeding to the combination puzzle. Clues for this puzzle can be found throughout the area. Once solved, it will reveal the location where the final ritual will take place.
The salt cubes acquired earlier are required to perform the ritual. Light the torches and sacrifice blood to the designated sites within the circle. Afterward, lure the beast inside the circle, as it will receive more damage within this area. Unlike the Wendigo, you must defeat this beast, and it will attempt to destroy the salt powering the ritual before escaping. To finish off the beast, you will need to use more salt, which should be sufficient even when playing solo.
