The developer of Fading Echoes has released a new update for the game on April 7, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.

Yeah, it passed a bit since actual Easter. Anyway.
This is an update with major focus on tweaking the game, with tweaks to the battle system and more custom assets, which will replace the RPG Maker stuff, but I’m sure you can still find enjoyment from it, with the Blackjack minigame and the new areas and side quests. The Demo will also be updated in the next few days as well, with only the bug fixes, battle tweaks and the custom visuals updates, while the story etc. will stay the same
The next update, the 0.4, will instead have a major focus on adding story, areas and side quests, while still adding a couple of twists to the gameplay, with new minigames and mechanics.
It will be a major game’s update. And since it will probably take a lot of time to complete it, I will probably update the game piece by piece, with for example a “0.3.5 Update”.
Also, as I’m just a single indie dev, I thank you for everything, I didn’t expected so many people to actually like the game, I had many doubts about this game. Thank you for everything and I hope you enjoy what comes next.

- When opening the game, it could says it has problems finding a .bgm simply close and reopen the game
- The cards in the BlackJack minigame, may appear moved to the left instead of the center
- You may find some holes in the Italian and German translations, I’ll be sure to fix this as soon as possible
- Added two new secondary quests (Nascent steak and Sailing family)
- Added two new areas (Forest paths and Forest Village)
- Added a fast travel mechanic
- Added the conclusions to the prologue paths
- Added four new enemies (Egguo, Spiraxe, Axeer, Doblem)
- Improved battle with some new mechanics
- Added a BlackJack minigame (You can play it in the city at the building with the icon sign)

- Added Game info on the Title Screen
- Movement has been made more fluid
- Visual Update for Houses, Trees, Tents, Doors, Grass, Streets and Menù Layout

- Fixed a bug that brought and trapped the player on the “ceiling” of the Underground Tunnels
- Fixed a bug that doesn’t gave the items during the tutorial, but in the Underground Tunnels

- Fixed a bug that gave map error to the player when encountering a man in the Forest
