If you find it tricky to keep track of the characters in this game, here’s a straightforward chart that shows you the important characters, who they’re connected to, and which groups they belong to. It’s got some minor spoilers and some fun meme comments, por supuesto!
Introducción
In Wandering Sword, one of the things I really like is how many characters there are. Hay más 600 non-player characters (npc) en el juego, and many of them have unique names and even some background stories. This makes the game world feel more real and immersive.
But I have a little problem – I find it hard to remember all the names and which faction each character belongs to. A veces, the names like Zhang, Zhan, Wuxin, and Wuxing all start to blend together in my mind.
To help with this, I started making a chart to keep track of who is who, who serves as someone’s disciple or henchman, etcétera. As you can imagine, this chart got really complicated! Entonces, I decided to simplify it by only including the characters who are part of significant groups or have a big impact on the story.
I also added comments about each character to remind me of who they are and what they did in the game. I’ll be including these comments along with the characters, even though it might make me cringe a bit. If you’re worried about spoilers, check the next section.
Descargo de responsabilidad
Regarding spoilers, I’ll make sure not to reveal who kills, betrays, or courts death in the game, as there are some interesting plot twists to keep intact. I won’t touch on any other significant story points or character arcs that could spoil the game for you. Your secret meme comments, which are mostly inside jokes for those familiar with the game or Wuxia novels, will stay intact in my responses. Sin embargo, I’ll do my best to help you with the information you provided while keeping your game experience unspoiled.

Some additional mentions that aren’t included in the chart are as follows:
- Tianjian Sect: It seems to have minimal relevance, except for a single comment from Master Daomiao in relation to Yuanqi’s backstory. It’s possible that it might be part of DLC or cut content.
- The Western Sect Banana Gang: They play a very minor role in a side quest.
- The Pirate/Bandit Gallery: They also have minor roles in various side quests, except for characters like Shipwreck Clam and Seaperil Dragon, who might have a bit more significance.
- The Misty Swordsman: This character seems to be irrelevant, and the grind associated with them is reportedly horrendous.
- The Goons: It’s noted that most, si no todos, factions have numerous unnamed or irrelevant characters, which is why they are not included in the chart to avoid unnecessary clutter.
- Tianshan Sect: It’s a significant story spoiler, so it’s deliberately excluded.
- Tianji Palace: This group has more of a background presence and is destroyed before the beginning of the game. It’s mentioned only a few times if Ye Fei is present.
Además, your favorite character isn’t included in the chart because, in your opinion, he simply isn’t worth mentioning.
