Does your wrestler never do the cool «Corner-to-Center Attack» mover? Your wrestler never does the cool «Jumping on Dazed Opponent» movimientos? Does your 180 points wrestler keep losing against 140 points one? Con un poco de suerte, this guide can help you a little!
Corner to Center Attack
- Make sure you have a high probability, arriba 40% al menos.
- EX1: 50% (Sml) & 80% (Lrg)
- EX2: 90% (Sml) & 90% (Lrg).
- «Corner to Center Attack» will only trigger if the opponent is dazed. So you also need at least 2 Front Grapple (BIG) moves that aren’t submission/pin to get a decent chance to trigger it. It’s preferred if at least one of them doesn’t knock down your own wrestler since you will lose your chance to perform the move if your wrestler wakes up too late.
- Back Grapple (BIG) works too but it’s hard to trigger them so it’s best to not rely on them.
Jump from Post (Opponent is on the Floor) & Run Up Turnbuckle (MED)
- «Fight Style» matters. Luchador, Júnior, and Panther will have an easy time triggering this move while «Heel» will almost never execute it. This is caused by their jump radius.
- If you want to add the «Jump from Post» mover, en el «Habilidad» menu you have to set the «Ascent Style» a «Permitir» o «Correr»
- If you want to add the «Run Up Turnbuckle» mover, en el «Habilidad» menu you have to set the «Ascent Style» a «Correr»
- Lowering «Discretion» to below 70% will make «Grapple 3D» (the front headlock where you can move around the map) drag the opponent into the corner instead of to the center. Increasing the chance to trigger the move.
- Alrededor 30% probability should give you a decent chance of trigger the move
- (BIG) moves will NOT trigger this move
- Solo (SML), (MED), y (SML+MED) that are not submission/pin will trigger this move. Moves that don’t knock down your own wrestler is preferred
- It’s highly recommended to have at least one move as a setup in «Priority Attack». Leave the (sml) column at 0% because the opponent wakes up too fast in this phase.
- EX1: 0% (Sml) & 80% (Lrg) – Backbreaker Slam (MED) -> Moonsault Press
- EX2: 0% (Sml) & 90% (Lrg) – Iron Claw Slam (SML+MED) -> Diving Knee Drop
- Pin moves like Phoenix Splash or Moonsault Press will bounce if the opponent is facing down. If you want your move to be a finisher it’s a good idea to add a pin in the «Priority Attack» to handle this situation. This way after your wrestler bounce, he will try to use his regular pin move on the opponent. It makes your wrestler looks more real too.
- EX1: 0% (Sml) & 100% (Lrg) – Moonsault Press -> Standing at Feet (PIN)
- EX2: 30% (Sml) & 90% (Lrg) – Phoenix Splash -> Standing at Head (PIN)
- During a «Corner Grapple» there is a chance that the attacker gets countered and falls to the floor while the defender is still standing on top of the post. Or an attack leaving the attacker on top of the post while the defender is lying down on the floor. When this situation occurs, the referee will start counting the wrestler for disqualification and he will eventually climb down and feeling confused. To prevent this awkward situation I suggest adding your jumping attack here.
- EX1: 40% (Sml) & 100$ (Lrg) Back Avalanche Setup Counter: Backhand Elbow -> Moonsault Press
- EX2: 40% (Sml) & 100$ (Lrg) Corner Grapple: Spider German Suplex -> Super Diving Footstomp
Jump from Post (Opponent is Dazed), Run Up Turnbuckle (SML) & Rope Slingshot from Apron to Inside the Ring
- «Fight Style» matters. Luchador, Júnior, and Panther will have an easier time triggering this move while «Heel» will almost never execute it.
- Unlike the «Opponent is on the Floor» version this one is very hard to trigger so make sure you only put 35% or lower on the «Do not Ascend Column». Make sure that you only distribute the percentages on your «opponent is dazed» type moves. Hojas «opponent is lying on the floor» type ones at 0%
- Solo (BIG) moves that are not submission/pin will trigger this move. Moves that don’t knock down your own wrestler are preferred.
- Setting a «Priority Attack» for this move might result in an awkward situation. Your wrestle will climb the post, the referee will count him for disqualification and he will just sit there confused. Eventualmente, he will decide to climb down instead of performing his move. I don’t know why this happens but I suspect that the jump radius of your wrestler’s «Fight Style» might have something to do with it
Opponent is Outside the Ring
- If you want to add the «Jump from Post» mover, en el «Habilidad» menu you have to set the «Ascent Style» a «Permitir» o «Correr»
*] If you want to add «Rope Slingshot» y «Running to Outside the ring» mover, en el «Habilidad» menu you have to set the «Ascent Style» a «Correr» - Lowering «Discretion» to below 70% will make «Grapple 3D» (the front headlock where you can move around the map) drag the opponent into the corner instead of to the center. Increasing the chance of throwing the opponent outside.
- Hammer Throw can throw an opponent outside.
- Alguno «Correr» moves like Frankensteiner or Jumping Knee Kick, etc can throw the opponent outside (Front Grapple version of Frankensteiner won’t throw the opponent outside sadly).
- Moves like Body Slam, Brainbuster, Uproot Brainbuster, Jumping Brainbuster, etc can throw an opponent outside (Women’s Bodyslam, High Angle Bodyslam won’t throw the opponent outside sadly).
- To trigger this move, the opponent must be really weakened so make sure to give these moves a good percentage in the (Lrg) columna
- This is another hard to trigger move so make sure you only leave 30% or lower at both «no hacer nada» & «Leave Ring» conjunto
EX: 10% (no hacer nada) & 15% (Leave Ring) - Make sure you put 0% en «Jump from Post» moves that target (an opponent on the floor) since they won’t be triggered (Moonsault press, Phoenix Splash, Diving Footstomp, Diving Senton, etc.).
- Feel free to put points on «Jump from Post» moves that target (dazed opponent) since they have a chance to be triggered (Diving Lariat, Diving Body Attack, etc.)
Back Grapple
- To trigger a «Back Grapple» you need to make the opponent dazed. Relying on the (BIG) moves is usually not enough so you need moves that can instantly make them dazed: Slap B, Shotei Rush, Ibushi Rush, Jigoku Tsuki B, etc.. Some moves like Tanahashi Slap, Overhead Elbow Butt Rush, etc can even turn the opponent to face the other way. Increasing your chances for a «Back Grapple»
- En el «Oppt. Dazed» menu put a high percentage on the «Back Grapple» fila.
- EX1: 20% (Sml), 40% (Lrg), 60% (Crit)
- EX2: 10% (Sml), 35% (Lrg), 80% (Crit)
- Another method is to add a «Back Switch» move in your «Front Grapple» ranura. Keep in mind that during the early game when your opponent is still strong this will have a very high failure rate. There is a chance that you’ve sealed your wrestler’s demise by spamming this in the early game. So in (Sml) columna, it’s better to put something between 5-10%.
- Another method (de nuevo!) is to add a «Back Switch» move in your «Back Counter» ranura, this is the safest method with a high success rate. recomiendo usar 2 methods with «Back Counter» as one of them
Corner Grapple
- Cerciorarse «Showmanship» is above 70%, this will increase the chance of your wrestler throwing his opponent to the corner.
- Set the Hammer Throw in both Back Grapple & Front Grapple above 15%.
MMA Moves
- Just like «Back Grapple», MMA moves have a high failure rate when your opponent is not weakened enough. So use it in moderation during the early matches. Sin embargo, «Front Grapple -> Guard Position» has a high success rate most likely because it’s actually a counter move that can activate when an opponent performs a Leg Tackle. So feel free to put a normal/high percentage on this one.
Priority Attacks
There are some things that you can achieve with «Priority Attacks»: a strong and a real wrestler. The strong part is obvious, you can chain more reliable combos and pins. As for the realistic part, real-life wrestler fights with a certain pattern. Keep in mind that this is also a game so feel free to adjust the percentage if some patterns are just too overpowered or make some changes if the pattern is impossible to replicate.
- AZM: Back Grapple – Leg Trip -> Azumi Sushi
- Tora Natsuko: Front Grapple (SML+MED): Canadian Buster -> Tora’s Frog Splash
- Syuri: Front Grapple – Blade Kick -> Pinfall
Why your strong wrestlers are being bullied by everyone?
Here are some things that might be the cause:
- The percentage of Back Switch & MMA Moves early games are too high which results in him getting countered a lot. Tenga en cuenta que «Back Counter-> Back Switch» y «Front Grapple-> Guard Position» is an exception to this since they’re a counter-type move & have a high success rate.
- You have more than 1 submission in both your (SML) y (MED) tragamonedas. Submission is a damage overtime type, durante (SML) y (MED) phase your opponent is still pretty strong which means they’ll escape quickly. This means you will have trouble getting damage done and move to the (BIG) fase.
- Su (BIG) slots have too many (SML) movimientos. (SML) moves do get some damage boost if you insert it to higher tier slots but it’s usually still not enough.
- EX: Instead of using the default Osotogari, grab another Osotogari/STO from the workshop that is actually intended for a finisher move.
- Habilidad especial: «Do or Die» y «Renacido» is extremely overpowered so if you’re out of ideas this can easily solve your problem
