It can happen after various battles or confrontations, such as the one against the Harpers, protecting Isobel from abduction, or fighting Yurgir. During this scene, Gale will express his attraction to you in a cute and awkward manner. Be kind and responsive to his advances.
2. Infiltrate Moonrise Towers: To trigger Gale’s Act 2 romance scene, initiate a Long Rest AFTER you have gone to Moonrise Towers undercover. You can complete other quests before this, but don’t delay it too much. It’s advisable to pause and take a long rest after interacting with the Drow Lady, freeing the Gnolls, and talking to Z’rell. This infiltration will not only make future fights in the area easier by reducing enemy numbers but will also provide opportunities to gain approval from Astarion if you wish to maintain a balance with him.
