Just a list of bugs and glitches that I’ve encountered so far, an attempt to help the developers keep track while they prep for the final retail release. Not meant for players to see, but feel free to look if you want to.
What Is This?
I’m just keeping a list of bugs and glitches that I personally find as I play. Also some suggestions. The intent is to have a one-stop list for the developers to look at instead of having me post 72 separate times on the discussion forum.
Since this is NOT INTENDED FOR USE BY OTHER PLAYERS, I have disabled the comments. If you find a bug that I missed, or one that you have a question about, or one that they fixed… please go ahead and leave your comment on the discussion topic pinned at the top of the Discussion Forums page. That topic is monitored by the developers and is intended for player feedback and bug reports.
Jedoch, I’m leaving the view set to public on this so that other players can get a quick view of some of the problems I’ve experienced with this game in its current state, I know some of you come here before deciding if it’s worth your time and money to buy/play these games. Yeah this one still has quite a few issues that need to be worked out before I would call it „a finished product.“
Bugs in the Menu, Anleitung, and Village
Issues found in version 0.32.209
Wiedergabemenü
- First time boot takes roughly 20 Minuten, waiting on a „black screen of death,“ before it finally brings up the main menu screen. Had to tell Windows „Wait for program to respond“ when it gave me a popup about the game not responding.
- If you don’t have a save game file yet, and you exit the game from the main menu, the window pops up to tell you that „all unsaved progress will be lost. Last saved X minutes ago.“ In diesem Fall „X“ will be over one billion minutes!! LOL
- Graphics settings still need to be optimized – a lot of players are still having trouble with lag and poor framerates, as well as using TOO MUCH RAM AND CPU POWER.
- Still no option to play with a controller.
- Settings menu has no „cancel changes and close“ Taste – nur „restore default settings“ oder „apply changes and close.“ Maybe I already set my custom settings, then I go in again and change something I didn’t want to change, would be nice to have an option to revert to my previous custom settings before I exit rather than reverting all the way to defaults.
Anleitung
- Ellen’s range/angle of interaction is TOO SMALL, sometimes it feels more difficult than it should be to properly highlight and interact with farm equipment, Pflanzen, Haustiere, Aufbewahrungstruhen, Schatztruhen, usw.
- Map is „unavailable“ während des Tutorials.
- Tutorial crops and animals do not count towards Achievement progress (I’m not sure if this is a bug or if it is intentional so I listed it here just in case it is a bug of some kind)
- Unable to pick up the farm soil plots in the beginning part of the tutorial area, but can still pick up the Potato plants to get some free seeds out of them.
Ellen’s Farm and the Village
- Map is „unavailable“ while inside Ellen’s house
- In the Workshop, the architect has the wrong name, es heißt „Jay the Ornithologist“
- Map has no „place names“ drauf, but looks much better than the original version.
- A new day starts at 05:00, but the crops don’t grow until 07:00 so you can’t water them or harvest them before then. (This is true of any crops that grow on the soil plots, I have not yet tested it with TREES though.)
- The description for Ultra Chicken Coop says „Can be fed to a dog to befriend it.“
- Buying blueprints from Mark: the item „Simple Kitchen“ Und „Simple Kitchen Upgrade“ names are very similar, maybe consider renaming the upgraded one to „Super Kitchen“ und der dritte zu „Ultra Kitchen“ oder so ähnlich?
- Ab und zu, seems to happen more often after doing a manual save rather than sleeping in the bed, everything on the farm will start spitting out infinite products BUT any machines that still need time to finish working WILL NEVER FINISH. – Can usually be fixed by exiting the game and re-loading the save.
- Animals tend to wander into areas where they shouldn’t be allowed, before you tame them, like walking on top of the lake, or getting stuck under the freeway bridge on the other side of Mark’s shop, or climbing up the mountain between the village and the lonely hills.
- If a player does not buy the Rubble Drill Upgrade AS THE VERY FIRST THING, they will be stuck into a huge grind-fest because all the blueprints are pretty expensive, and the area blocked in by red trash bricks is small and none of the resources there will respawn.
- If a player gets stuck like that and doesn’t realize how to use the Bird Feeders immediately, it is possible to „break the game“ and get permanently stuck in the beginning – no seeds left to grow new crops, not enough jars of preserved food to buy the rubble drill.
- Farm equipment timers and rewards (the progress circle and any products that are ready to collect) are only visible if you are FACING the machine, looking at it sideways over your shoulder will make that information INVISIBLE to you.
- Farm equipment timers and rewards (the progress circle and any products that are ready to collect) are ONLY visible if you stand between 3 feet and 15 Füße (etwa) away from the machine. Any closer, or farther away, and that information becomes invisible to you.
- Rudy’s upgrade shop items – the descriptions all say „build it at the workshop“ after you buy them but they are no longer in the workshop; they are automatically applied as soon as you buy it from Rudy.
- Walls separating areas to reduce the load on graphics card is a good idea… but if you leave HOLES IN THE WALLS THAT YOU CAN SEE THE OTHER AREA THROUGH then it still has to work just as hard as if the walls were not there.
- Great way to crash a computer: run around the village just smashing trash bricks and sucking up the big piles WITH A FULL BACKPACK. So many pieces of trash on screen, even running „Performance Mode“ my FPS dropped below 5 (32GB of RAM and a GeForce 1080) and CPU temp got dangerously close to overheat and meltdown.
- Message in a Bottle is listed as a „Questgegenstand“ but the icon in the backpack is missing and it does not trigger any quests or seem useful in any other way. I assume this will be tied to the Sunken City later??
- Quest progression with Harold is pretty slow. I had already finished all of his quests before he asked me to do them because it took me SO LONG to save up enough jars to buy the dog house, then I needed more Old Wood to build it. So when the quest finally advanced with Harold, I was like „Ja, I already did that… Ype I already did that, zu… Yes I even built your house already dude.“
- Frühes Spiel, getting enough jars, Recycled Material, and Old Wood feels quite grindy. I miss how the merchants all wanted specific types of food in addition to „Geld“ when you buy things from them. Having certain food dishes instead of thousands and thousands of jars for everything would make it feel more interesting and less grindy to buy new upgrades and equipment.
- Cornelius – under the bridge at the beach – du kannst bekommen „infinite“ chicken decorations if you keep talking to him and ask him to tell you more about the location. He won’t leave until you tell him you’re too busy to listen to his stories (or whatever it was that the first dialogue option said). I was able to FILL my backpack, with Big Backpack 1 upgrade too, just with his chicken decorations. Just to prove that it could be done. LOL.
- Exchange rate for trash to recycled material in the recycler feels very low. Ich finde 10 trash to 1 recycled material would be better than 100 trash to 6. It would remove a lot of that „grindy“ feeling plus it would make the math easier since I don’t need to do much math if it’s 100:10, but at current ratio of 100:6 the math gets weird if I want to recycle a partial stack of trash.
- Dog can’t wear a hat?
- Dog is difficult to target, seltsam „hit box“ size/shape.
- Daisies can go on farm soil but can never be harvested.

I found a bug where if you completed the 2nd bulbator quest before the first one, Rudy will no longer take the neutralizer from you. There are no quest options when you talk to him
Good morning,
I’m on PS5, 3 times I got fooled by a save bug, I had to start all over again.
On PS5, my save game stopped loading after getting to sunken city. The game acts like the save is no longer there at all.
Harold will not give me the neutralizer even though I completed the woodlet quest. Gamebreaking no way to move forward.
