The developer of Dark and Deep Playtest has released a new update for the game on April 22, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.

BUGFIXES:
-Black frame issue is fixed! Unfortunately it meant I had to disable some quality settings that were affecting it. Hoping to get those back in soon.
-Fixed an issue where destructible items could be moved with thrown embers.
-Adjusted the Across the Darkness puzzle to prevent the player getting places they should not and falling without dying (thanks Blizz).
UPDATES:
-Adjusted the snakes to not actually be revealed by the frame, but simply only be visible through them. This adjustment simplifies their mechanics but reduces player confusion, since revealing them did not have a very big affect on their behavior. It also makes it much more tense to navigate around them since you can never fully see them except through the frame.
-Made adjustments to various puzzles to reduce player confusion
-Adjusted hand animations to be more responsive
-Dora now follows closer in the gallery… because she loves you
