- Patch Title: Python Retrace Update
- Patch Release Date: April 15, 2024
The developer of CodeWalker has released a new update for the game on April 15, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
I’m trying to get in the habit of releasing bug fixes immediately, rather than wait until new features finalized. So this version mostly just addresses some of the current bugs. Incredible new features will be coming out soon 🙂
CodeWalker’s Retrace is a little tricky to set up. Plus, it’s slightly different for each language. I blame the authors of the different languages 🙂 BUT, I made the Retrace assistant easier to use, and much “smarter” about where it places your retrace data and how it works in general. Especially for Python, on all platforms.
New Features:
Much improved Retrace setup window
Much faster Python Retrace subsystem thanks to user MattFor!
Expanded capabilities of the Retrace Automation window so it shows the before and after files
Added ability of Retrace Automation window to auto-point to the new log file if you use it to build the retrace variant
Improved 3D navigation by greatly accelerating zoom while limiting your ability to zoom through the ground.
Bug Fixes:
Fixed file selection issue where it was looking for “python” files instead of “py”
Fixed bug in python where backslashes in python paths were not being escaped properly for retrace
Fixed bug in python retrace automation where file names had extra spaces
Fixed layout issues in retrace automation window so it makes a little more sense
Fixed inconsistent naming conventions in Retrace Automation Window.
Fixed bug in NoteManager (that’s the thing that lets you draw on the screen in 2D mode) that would throw an error when you opened and closed the markup window with no file loaded.
