To unlock the Squire in Broken Edge, go into solo mode and defeat all of the AI. Once you’ve defeated the Tyrant for the first time with a class you will also have unlocked the Blademaster difficulty setting for that class. Play through the mode on Blademaster difficulty and you should have unlocked the squire.
Same as apprentice difficulty, you need to defeat each enemy 2-4 times to progress, while they need to defeat you only once in order for you to have to restart that stage, so be careful. On top of this, the same as apprentice difficulty, you do not regain your abilities or health between victories on the same opponent, so use them sparingly. As an added layer of difficulty, unlike Apprentice, you cannot kill your opponent with an awakened strike before you break their blade. As such, it is a good idea to strike the opponent directly if they are using a fast moveset because they will choose a new movement style upon being hit, allowing you to choose a moveset that allows you to more easily strike their hilt.
