Right click to tell them to rest and recharge. Right click again to make them ready to fire. You cannot control when they fire, هو - هي’s on a timer. Just have them recharge whenever you can, and when a dragon appears quickly press right click.
You can drag them around to change their position. You can also sometimes move an archer just in time to catch a dragon that seems to be getting away, but for some reason sometimes it will not let you move it.
Endgame: In the last few days of the game (I think starting on the 27th?) you have to effectively play bullet hell with the scanner eye on top of having to deal with the dragons. By that point don’t bother repositioning the archers, just focus on protecting the eye, keeping the archers recharging whenever possible and pressing right click when dragons appear. Ideally you should have max or close to max archers at this point, and go into each day with almost full health (you cannot heal in the supermarket. and it’s really really hard not to get hit. but maybe you are better than me).
