This guide describes how to find the three easter eggs hidden in InFlux.
Easter Egg #1 – Shotgun Sunrise Truck
This easter egg is found in Chapter 3. In order to find it, follow the steps below:
- Complete the first two puzzles in Chapter 3.
- Progress onward until you come across this vent.
- After going up the vent, you will see the path to progress the game on the left, but on the right is a darkened path obscured by some rocks.
- By boosting over the rocks, you will find a small ramp leading you to a room containing the first easter egg. It is the truck from Shotgun Sunrise, another game by Impromptu Games.
Easter Egg #2 – Fruit ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2000
This easter egg is found in Chapter 4. In order to find it, follow the steps below:
- Upon beginning the chapter, progress until you arrive at the cliff overlooking this valley.
- Drop down, then hug the right wall. You will know you are on the right track if you encounter a ladder going up the cliff side.
- Keep hugging the wall until you encounter a cave hidden by some boulders.
- Go into the cave, where you will find a small ramp leading you to a room containing the second easter egg. On an altar you will see Fruit ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2000, a character from Penny Arcade[www.penny-arcade.com].
Below is a quote from Joewa, one of the developers of InFlux, on its inclusion:
“The reason he’s n the game is that Impromptu Games was originally formed out of a thread on the Penny-Arcade forums (a bunch of us got together and made Shotgun Sunrise). We put the Fruit ♥♥♥♥♥♥ into SS as an easter egg, and ended up putting him in InFlux too – the exact same mesh, in fact. I created that cave just to hide him in it, but we didn’t get permission to actually do it from PA until a few weeks before ship (we didn’t bother asking for SS, since it was a non-commercial project).”
Easter Egg #3 – Dinner under the Moon
This easter egg is found in Chapter 6. In order to find it, follow the steps below:
- Upon beginning the chapter, progress up the path leading up the volcano until you encounter this area.
- Boost up the two ramps, then turn around. You will want to align yourself correctly, then boost up the ramp to make it to the cliff above.
This may take a few tries. Don’t forget you can hold the boost key to gain a bigger boost, as well as boost in mid-air.
- Once you are on top of the cliff, you will find the third easter egg. It is a table with some strange items, like headphones, a tropical drink, and thigh-high leather boots.
According to Joewa, one of the developers of InFlux, there is a weird story behind its inclusion, although I was unable to find it.
