Here’s my personal rundown of perks in Hunt: Showdown. No fancy words, just straight to the point. I’ve been around this game for a while, done my research, and these are my rankings.
I’ll do my best to keep this list current. If Crytech changes or adds a perk, I’ll update it here accordingly.
It’s worth noting that this tier list assumes you’re using the right weapons for each perk. على سبيل المثال, if you’re not using crossbows, Bolt Thrower is obviously at the bottom of the pile.
Tier Meaning
- S Tier – Top-notch perks. Always prioritize grabbing these first, except for the weapon-related ones, which you should only take if you’re using the right gun.
- A Tier – Excellent perks that just fall short of being S tier for various reasons.
- B Tier – Solid perks worth considering. Some are situational but still valuable.
- C Tier – Disappointing perks that can be useless in many situations and may waste perk points. Only choose these if you have extra points or if you’re pursuing a very specific strategy.
- D Tier – Absolutely avoid these perks. They’re garbage.
S Tier
- Bolt Thrower: This perk is a direct enhancement for your crossbows, a must-have if you’re using one.
- Doctor: Arguably the game’s best perk. While it costs 8 نقاط, it ensures your medkit charges fully heal you, almost akin to having vitality shots if you also possess the Physician perk.
- Greyhound: One of the game’s finest perks, granting you extended sprinting capabilities. This gives a significant advantage in various scenarios like escaping, repositioning, or chasing opponents. It’s typically the first perk I invest in for all my hunters.
- Hundred Hands: A vital upgrade for your bow. If you’re wielding a bow, this perk is essential.
- Kiteskin: For just 1 point, this perk allows you to survive nearly any fall, granting access to new movement options like rotating, escaping, or pursuing other players. Its low cost makes it an instant S tier choice.
- Levering: This perk directly enhances your Winfield, transforming it into a formidable close-quarters weapon. It offers more reliability than fanning, allowing accurate shots up to 10 أمتار.
A Tier
- Bloodless: This perk proves its worth in a game where many elements can cause bleeding, especially considering the prevalence of custom ammos with bleeding effects. Rapid bleeding often forces quick decisions, so being able to mitigate bleeding and heal it swiftly can be game-changing.
- Lightfoot: In specific scenarios, this perk shines brightly. Suddenly, ladders become viable options during combat, aiding greatly in rotation and movement. Highly recommended, though its 5-point cost prevents it from reaching S Tier status.
- مستحضر الأرواح: A true game-changer. لكن, its effectiveness is somewhat tempered by the fact that reviving a teammate, even with cover, is a risky endeavor. مع ذلك, the ability to revive under cover can be invaluable, especially considering the current expectation of a necro revive.
- Packmule: This utility perk is excellent, doubling consumables or tool/medkit charges when looting corpses or toolboxes. If you frequently use traps and grenades, it may even warrant S Tier consideration due to its versatility.
- Physician: A highly beneficial upgrade that streamlines the healing process. When paired with the Doctor perk, it effectively turns medkit charges into vitality shots.
- Pitcher: Enhanced grenade throwing distance is invaluable, potentially making the difference between hitting your target or missing. بالإضافة إلى ذلك, it can prevent enemies from hearing the fuse until it’s too late, depending on the distance.
- Quartermaster: This skill provides excellent versatility, allowing you to wield both a rifle and a short shotgun, or vice versa. This versatility makes it a potent option for combat at various distances.
B Tier
- Ambidextrous: A decent skill that can significantly speed up reload times for dual-wielding playstyles, though it may not be utilized frequently by all players.
- Bulletgrubber: While helpful for weapons like the Dolch that use special ammo, its 4-point cost and situational usefulness mean there are often better options available.
- Bulwark: Useful against dynamite but less effective against more commonly used frag grenades. It can still be a lifesaver, though its effectiveness varies.
- عزيمة: This perk aids in stamina recovery, a solid but straightforward benefit.
- Fanning: Controversial, as its reliability is debated among players. Useful for close-quarters combat with rifles, but it requires careful control to maximize effectiveness.
- Frontiersman: An excellent perk, but its 8-point cost may make it hard to justify over other options. Synergizes well with Packmule and trap-focused strategies.
- Gator Legs: Provides faster movement around the map, particularly effective when combined with Greyhound and adrenaline. Its utility diminishes as players become more adept at map navigation.
- Ghouls: While it grants health from melee kills, medkits are readily available, making this perk less useful in practice despite its potential benefits.
- Resilience: ل 3 نقاط, it can quickly get you back into the fight after being revived, making it a solid addition if you have extra perk points to spare.
- الثعبان: Situational, useful for snatch-and-run tactics or retrieving clues from difficult spots. خلاف ذلك, it’s underwhelming in most scenarios.
- Silent Assassin: Provides silence during melee attacks, useful for silent ambushes, but it’s important to note that grunts will still scream when killed, potentially alerting nearby players.
- Steady Aim: Helpful for improving accuracy with scoped weapons or pistols, a worthwhile choice if you have spare points.
- Whispersmith: Useful for concealing weapon changes and preventing opponents from pinpointing your location based on sound cues, especially in close-quarters situations.
C Tier
- Beastface: Helpful for newer players struggling with animals, but learning to maintain distance from them is a skill worth developing. It’s recommended to skip this perk once you become more experienced.
- Scopesmith: While potentially more useful than its Iron variant, relying on stationary aiming may not be optimal in Hunt: Showdown, where movement is key to survival. This perk may not offer significant benefits.
- Dauntless: Useful for extinguishing choke bombs, but it’s the only perk that can potentially kill you. It’s generally advisable to avoid situations where Dauntless would be necessary, such as waiting for dynamite to explode near you.
- Iron Eye: Not essential, and if you have spare points, there’s no harm in acquiring it. لكن, it’s not a crucial perk for most situations.
- Poison Sense: Useful if your build heavily incorporates poison, but otherwise, it’s not essential and can be safely skipped.
- Salveskin: Its primary benefit is slowing down burning when your body is on fire, making it situational. It may not be worth its 5 or even 3-point cost compared to other options.
- Vulture: Beneficial for group play or scavenger strategies, allowing looting of previously looted corpses. خلاف ذلك, it lacks significant utility outside of specific scenarios.
D Tier
- الأدرينالين: Rarely useful, as low stamina during gunfights is uncommon. It’s unlikely to save you when you’re in critical health and running away.
- Assailant: Mostly used for fun rather than practicality. The damage increase for knives and throwing axes is generally not worth it.
- Blade Seer: Unnecessary, even for players using throwing knives and crossbows, as finding your own equipment shouldn’t be a significant issue.
- Conduit: Provides a boost that’s generally unnecessary, especially considering its 5-point cost.
- Decoy Supply: The usefulness of decoys in general is limited, and this perk is unlikely to be needed in most situations.
- Hornskin: While it can prevent instant kills from Duster head punches, its usefulness beyond that is limited.
- Magpie: Too situational to be consistently useful, it’s generally not worth investing in this perk.
- Mithridatist: Poison is typically used against AI and is rarely effective against players, making this perk of limited use in most scenarios.
- Poacher: While hearing other players lay traps can be useful, it’s generally not worth the investment, especially considering the caution players should exercise around traps.
- Vigilant: Seeing traps without dark vision should be achievable without this perk, making it generally unnecessary.
- Vigor: For its 3-point cost and slot usage, it offers little benefit, making it an unappealing choice for most players.
Burn Traits
In terms of burn traits, all of them hold significant value:
- Death Cheat: This trait speaks for itself. It prevents your hunter from permanently dying, a crucial advantage in Hunt: Showdown.
- Relentless: When you lose a life chunk, you become extremely vulnerable, as most weapons can kill you with a chest shot. This trait preserves your life chunk if you get downed, mitigating this vulnerability.
- الظل: While the least valuable of the burn traits, it still holds considerable strength, particularly if you favor shotgun special tactics. It adds an element of fun to your gameplay.
خاتمة
Perks are crucial in Hunt: Showdown, impacting your gameplay significantly. It’s essential to choose them thoughtfully, considering their practicality and how often they’ll come into play. The right perks can greatly ease your experience and even catch your opponents off guard. Always assess their usefulness and frequency of application when making your selections.
