The developer of 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far has released a new update for the game on April 5, 2024. Here are the new things that you should expect to see or change on this new update. This information was curated directly from the official announcement on Steam.
Hey players! While we are working away on our second campaign, we also wanted to update you with some important improvements in this maintenance update to the game.
AI IMPROVEMENTS:
- AI defensive units are now being built in proper quantities in campaign missions.
- Skirmish AI behavior adjustments were made to help reduce late game AI standoffs.
- Naval Transports were adjusted to help prevent possible stalling when under attack.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
- Hardcore achievement added to the game to support our new surival-mode campaign.
- Fixed Crossing Guard Achievement to award properly when destroying a bridge.
MOD SUPPORT:
- Allow joining of a multiplayer match without having all the required mods, provided that the host is only using map mods and doesn’t currently have a modded map selected.
- Fix for not reloading instances sometimes when matching mods.
- Fix for game constants mod changes requiring a restart when they don’t need to.
- Fix for issue that could cause a soft lock when joining a game with modded maps.
GENERAL:
- Fixed some German Objective Translations where the timer value didn’t match in Mission 5, 7, 10, & 12.
- Remapped Offensive Ping hotkey to ALT-T-LMB
- Set starting resource nodes to 16000 in multiplayer Quickmatch mode.
